Peacebringer Question

So I got my PB to be fairly strong, heals recharge nicely, and nova blasts have a 200 ft range. The only problem I've had so far is people using web nades. Is there anything to combat this? I started hopping into dwarf and teleporting away but that is a bit annoying. Any suggestions?

Not too much. SS wont help me utilize my vastly superior ramnge, which is the only reason to make a PB over a blaster. One other question. What do you think would make a good partner for a 2v2? I was thinking an elec/SS (or wp/em or whatever) tauntbot would be good since PBs are a tad squishy (in nova form), and the taunt would have a range debuff, further allowing me to utilize my long range.

fire/ss tank with taunt....x/regen scrapp with confront and webnades (<--or Confront+Impale like meh) if u want a aggro bot...or the common /pd or emp

Another vote here for a Taunt bot with formidable damage...it'll keep the heat off you, including webnades.

Of course, you'll still be hit with webnades...so what is the "solution"? Two ways I deal with it are:

1. Drop to Human and SS out of it. This will give you a good chance to pop BU and use Incandescent Strike.

2. Just stay in Nova as long as you can and try to blast your way out of it. Yes, you're vulnerable, but you can dish out a pretty good helping of damage in a few seconds.

You could also stay in Dwarf for a bit and taunt your foe to get their range reduced then get yourself back into Nova for more attacks.

Also, I'd be very interested to know how you squeezed 200 ft. range into your build. I thought getting to the 160 - 170 range was good.

You just gave me an idea. I going to experiment with a bind that toggles off nova, moves to another tray and auto toggles energy flight. This would be kinda like switching to hover from flight when ur hit with hurl. I don't know if it will work, but its worth a try.

bind lshift+1 "powexec_toggleoff Bright Nova$$goto_tray 1$$powexec_toggleon Energy Flight"

(The "goto_tray" part might not be the correct sytax, but that's roughly the same bind I use on mine.) I would do Combat Flight instead of Energy Flight, though, as there are times when you'll have a -fly effect on you when switching out of Nova, and Combat Flight would keep you in the air whereas Energy Flight wouldn't. On the downside, unless you have a separate macro for switching to human and not toggling on Energy/Combat Flight, you'll have to detoggle it first if you want to drop and make a faster escape (i.e. use Super Speed instead of Combat Flight in the macro).

This toon is my child and the only toon that I don't want everyone to have the build for but I'll drop a hint. *Whispers* PvP IOs and HOs

3 of 4 nova attacks have a base of 100 range, with 3 range IO's it puts it to 158.5 ft, throw in PvP io's set bonuses to +range, and make it with like... I dunno, the equivalent of 4 range iO's in the powers, and yea I can see it happening, 200 feet.

How do you enjoy the hate with ppl screaming at you to play a "real toon"? Ive been Nova blasting ppl from 20miles up for awhile now and the "ur mother sucks" tells never get old lol.

3 Centrioles (Dam/Rng Hami) in the ST and AoE Nova Attacks, and then grab 5 7.5% rng buffs from ST and AoE PvP IO's (2 slot bonus) and the 5 Slot PvP Hold into Incandescent Strike.

Seems a lot of compromise for 40+ feet.

Do warshades have silly range too?

The nova form is the same for both. Warshades are horrible because they have basically nothing useful outside of nova form.

Inc. Strike slotting to get the 10% Range bonus
Glad Net:
Proc, Acc/Rech, Acc/Hold
Hecatom Proc
Acc/Dmg HO
lvl 50 Dmg IO
Numbers come out to 84.67 Acc 75.13 Dmg 26.5 Rech & Hold
You could probably come up with something more effective but this was just an idea that I had.
