Never mind the Harry/Voldemort duel, I am TOTALLY hoping for the Bellatrix/Molly slugfest. And if it's in there, and done right, I predict the applause will go off like a bomb in the theatre when it's over.
From what I can see, this is shaping up to be amazing. But if there is a God, and He is listening to me, please get John Williams back to do the second half of the last film? Please?

I know there is mass praise on this, and it is very well done, but the pacing of the cuts before the quote is just too quick. My eyes have hardly anytime to really take in the image and then it's gone. Unless I missed it, there was no mention of Ultra mode either. I'm glad everyone's enjoying it! You have no idea how afraid I was that I'd lost my touch, or that people wouldn't really want to see mine considering how spiffy the official video was! (Seriously, I saw that and was like, "Ummmmm... maybe I shouldn't make one.")

It definitely seems like a skeevy way to recruit. (Note to self - remind the other leaders of our SG never to do that.) We've been known to invite folks after they've teamed with us, depending on how the dynamics of the players works, but if they say no, we say 'thanks' and that's the end of it.
Publicity works both ways - when you team with great players, you tell EVERYONE.
When you team with a**es... you tell EVERYONE.

I'd love to see them available, too. I got a ton of people asking me how I had a character draped over the top of the Paragon Studios logo and I was so tempted to tease them saying you unlocked it by being slept for 1000 hours in-game.

Well so far, me making "The Most Interesting Man in Praetoria" as my next video is winning by a wide margin. Fortunately that should be fast and relatively easy to make... and yes, I will have casting calls for who gets to do the narration. (The actual voice of MIMIP is going to be Leandro, if I have to beg, cajole, and threaten him into it.)
Re: the pacing with the graffiti, 1) it had to be in time to the music, and 2) I was going for almost an subliminal quality, like "did I really just see that?"
And thank you to everyone who has been linking this on Facebook or Twitter or whatnot - if you like the vid, and think it does a good job of showing off our game, please use it to get the word out!
BTW, War Witch, thank you for the mention. I figured you'd just respond via PM. (Castle might post here, but he's about it. MAYBE Ocho...)

"Game On" is going to be a video like the one I did to The Guild's "Do You Want to Date My Avatar?" (I had actually gotten permission from Felicia Day to use the song, and she loved the end result. Since then I've gotten permission again to use "Game On", The Guild's next song, for a video.) A total geekfest sendup of humor.
"The Most Interesting Man in Praetoria" got started because of something Zombie Man and Venture started on the Closed Beta forums... I convinced Venture to repost it in Forum Games, with the intent of making a series of short commercials, parodying the "Most Interesting Man in the World" ads for Dos Equis beer.
"CoVIDEOHELL" is a series several friends and I have been working on, based on the hit "AMV Hell" series. Ten-minute videos of sheer weirdness, all set in the CoH universe - and we have enough material for four or five volumes, I think at this point. Famous movie quotes, songs, and total dork references will abound in these vids.

I absolutely have to say this here... this video would not have been made without the help of several generous and giving people. When I put out a call for help back in May of this year, when everything that could go wrong in my life was going wrong, members of the CoH community stepped up and offered their assistance without hesitation. It's because of them that this video was finally able to be made. I may be a writer, but there are no words to express my gratitude to them. I can only hope they are happy with the result.
