A blaster needs one hold to effectively hold a lt., so does the troller, and it needs to stack a second hold for a boss, just like the troller itself.
In PvP both need 3 holds vs scrappers/stalkers (unless SR when having stacked practised brawler) and 4 vs tankers/brutes.
Some blasters can get 3 ST holds, afaik, no troller can get past 1, 2 if it's TA secondary.
Trollers don't have mag4 holds, unless when it critics (which is 5% of the times iirc). If they did, they would hold a boss without stacking -

He can do this becouse this game is broken as hell.

Actually, it would be broken if he couldn't. -
Meh already so few PvPers
Well TC and HL, hope you find what you are looking for elsewhere

All APP/PPP-Powers have endurance and recharge penalties compared to same powers in primary/secondary pools.
It's part of the design and unlikely to change.
[/ QUOTE ]
No. Controllers APPs haven't any recharge penalties compared to same powers in primary/secondary pools. Every power in the Controllers APPs have the same recharge as the corresponding power in any primary/secondary. Check your facts, stop spreading this lie.
[/ QUOTE ]
The NoFuture database lists them as:
Controller Fire Ball: Recharge = 32 secs.
Blaster Fire Ball: Recharge = 16 secs.
Controller Fire Blast: Recharge = 8 secs.
Blaster Fire Blast: Recharge = 4 secs.
Controller Mental Blast: Recharge = 8 secs.
Defender Mental Blast: Recharge = 4 secs.
Controller Hurl Boulder: Recharge = 10 secs.
Tanker Hurl Boulder: Recharge = 8 secs.
which is consistent with this quote from Castle.
[/ QUOTE ]
So according to that, trollers blasts have twice the recharge of that of the blasters, and blasters holds have the same recharge the troller's one have (and the same mag I must add).
Yet it's trollers the only ones nerfed... yeah right, quite logical... pfft -

Illusion would win if the players have equal skill. The untyped hold hit thru pff as if it wasn't there
[/ QUOTE ]
Untyped? Blind is Psi hold isn't it? NoFuture reference
Given how useful Break Frees are in PvP and the extra mez protection other FF powers have I wouldn't count on just Blind winning it.
I've always wanted to pit Carni against my Necro / Dark MM. Nearly got the chance of fighting one in the 3vP event but they pulled out.
[/ QUOTE ]
Blind has a Sleep component, which'll drop FF's Mez protection pretty quick.
[/ QUOTE ]
Blind is untyped, dunno if it's a bug or what, but deals the same dmg on a controller with psi armor on and off. It holds thru pff as someone said, in one hold (and i mean pff, not dispersion bubble). And it also cuts thru elude like if it wasn't there, and elude has psi def too iirc -
After lv38 it's easy (with God Power), before that it's quite pesky. I found it quite easy with my spines/sr, even at relentless (god bless Phase shift and aid self), not as easy on my em/regen, mainly for the difficulty of regaining hide. But all in all it's doable. Harder than with a MM or a brute, of course, but pretty doable still

My build up to lv40 (my builder doesn't have PPP's yet, got to find some site where to actualise it) would be something like:
01) --> Energy Punch==> Acc(1) Dmg(19) Dmg(23) Dmg(37) Acc(40)
01) --> Hide==> EndRdx(1)
02) --> Bone Smasher==> Acc(2) Dmg(3) Dmg(3) Dmg(5) Acc(5) Rechg(15)
04) --> Ninja Reflexes==> DefBuf(4) DefBuf(17) DefBuf(17) EndRdx(19)
06) --> Assassin's Strike==> Acc(6) Dmg(7) Dmg(7) Dmg(11) Acc(11) Rechg(15)
08) --> Build Up==> Rechg(8) Rechg(9) Rechg(9)
10) --> Combat Jumping==> EndRdx(10)
12) --> Placate==> Rechg(12) Rechg(13) Rechg(13)
14) --> Super Jump==> Jump(14)
16) --> Swift==> Run(16)
18) --> Health==> Heal(18)
20) --> Stamina==> EndMod(20) EndMod(21) EndMod(21)
22) --> Kuji-In Rin==> Rechg(22) Rechg(23)
24) --> Kuji-In Sha==> Heal(24) Heal(25) Heal(25) Rechg(31) Rechg(37) Rechg(37)
26) --> Energy Transfer==> Acc(26) Dmg(27) Dmg(27) Dmg(31) Acc(31) Rechg(34)
28) --> Hasten==> Rechg(28) Rechg(29) Rechg(29)
30) --> Acrobatics==> EndRdx(30)
32) --> Total Focus==> Acc(32) Dmg(33) Dmg(33) Dmg(33) Acc(34) Rechg(34)
35) --> Danger Sense==> DefBuf(35) DefBuf(36) DefBuf(36) EndRdx(36)
38) --> Kuji-In Retsu==> Rechg(38) Rechg(39) Rechg(39) DefBuf(39) DefBuf(40) DefBuf(40)
I don't know how many of the PPP's you want to have, but I'd really try to make room for Smoke Flash and if possible, for blinding powder in there. -
Rofl! Yer it was my fire/kin. I remember we dueled twice, first i won quite easily, 2-0 or 3-0 iirc. Second one was the [censored], i think u got 100% critics during the whole bloody 10 mins!! and besides mog for two times, and you used IH right after the first one faded
I found myself itching not for having brought my Illu instead
but luckily for me second mog died when there were still some seconds left and I found my chance ^^.

For PvP /sr is the best secondary for Broadsword imo. Bear in mind that it's a late bloomer primary, but when you get disembowel and, mainly, headsplitter, you'll forget about how crappy if felt in the beginning.
About the end usage, well you'll manage better in pvp than in pve. Don't bother slotting your toggles with defbuffs until you've got 1 (or 2) endrdx on them, and well I'd advice to slot your powers 2 acc 3dmg 1 endrdx (unless you go for FA, then 1 acc 3 dmg 1 endrdx 1 rchred would be better).
Oh and get parry the sooner and slot it nicely, gotta love that power for real

I agree 100% with everything said here . . . I need to lie down

Oh my, twice in a week... I must be doing something wrong -
For duels, before nerf I'd say Ill/rad, Ill/FF, Ice/Rad or Ice/FF. After nerf, maybe Ill/Rad, Ill/FF, Fire/Rad or Fire/FF

I didn't think dominators were underpowered before the boost. They are perfectly capable when played decently. They don't 2-3 shot, but they were quite effective as they were

Stalkers are meant to do just that - stalk. What's the point of a stealth-based assassin if you can see him coming half a zone away?
[/ QUOTE ]
Heh then in the case of trollers what's the point of a hold based hero if everybody can pop a breakie. If there wasn't a counter to everything pvp would suck
-
Well depending on your primary, but hide provides a really nice def bonus. I'd deffo add 3 def buffs to it if you are /sr or even /kin or /dark. Not as important on /regen or /ea, but still valuable
-
Yes regen can, not all the ATs tho
-
Errm you did, maybe you misread my message, or prolly gohan's previous one
.
Of course regen can survive AS. In fact all ATs can unless vs EM stalkers -

Chilling embrace does not allow you to see a stalker, it's one of the armours which has +percep
Stealthed stalkers with grant invis won't be seen from a distance no matter how many yellows/+percep powrs u use. You can only see them in melee distance when at perception cap.
Group invis does NOT stack with other powers from the concealment pool. Only stalkers can have stacked invis powers.
Pets perception is worse than the player, at least that is for sure on a troller, can't speak about MMs.
I don't really agree with the tactic of 'survive the AS strike and stack 4 holds before he escapes', and it's not something that 'most ATs' can do anyway. In fact, no AT can do that on his own vs. a proper stalker in the zones.
[/ QUOTE ]
I said group invis stacks with super invis and if you are grant invised it does stack with that also
[/ QUOTE ]
And I said it doesn't, cos it doesn't. Group invis doesn't stack with superior invis, nor it does with grant invis from another player

A regen scrapper stacking 4 holds? Errm don't think so -

mind rad better than ill kin imo, for duels, and better than fire rad for teams

I'd agree if there wasn't a bounty based system and your target wasn't in a base you can't have access to.

For lv50 PvP you just need 3 attacks (hack, disembowel and headsplitter) if you go with FA. With FA you can slot all your attacks 1 acc 3 dmg 2 rech, and provided the long animation time in broadsword, you will always have one of the powers recharged. You don't need lucky or evasion, as the amount of powers rated as AoE is minimal, but you do need endrdx on your toggles, unless 2 on each, 3 when possible.
Nevertheless, my bet would be weapons epics, along with fear pool and tp (foe), thus having speed, tp, fear and medicine pools. Few things are as effective as casting fear on a squishie, throwing down caltrops at his feet, and pwning him while he tries to run away in slow motion
[/ QUOTE ]
um this is a very interesting strategy to say the least, so we have speed, tp, prescence and medicine pools......arent we forgetting about stamina?
i think you would prefer to roll a /dev blaster
[/ QUOTE ]
Lolz yeah, I'd have to skip either tp foe or fear, got messed as my broadsword is regen
