What's remaining for Dimensional Warder (Villains have to have a way to finish the badge without crossing sides):
- Black Swan
- Chimera
- Diabolique
- Dominatrix (Undoubtedly going to be with Tyrant)
- Infernal
Then there's Tyrant.
Even if Tyrant is the final Praetorian Trial (with Dominatrix) that means, if 7 is the golden number, that FOUR AVs will be in the penultimate trial.
Unless.
Before or while Tyrant's Trial Comes out we get two more TFs Like Apex/Tin Mage - one with Diabolique/Infernal, and one with Black Swan/Chimera.
Then Trial 6 could be Dominatrix/Tyrant, and Trial 7 the Praetorian Hamidon.
I'm personally rooting for the second possibility. -
This is because Hide allows the use of one other stealth power (such as stealth or invisibility) - Costume powers are mutually exclusive with all other stealth powers (except super speed and Phase Shift, and any AoE stealth powers cast on you)
-
And also Master Midnight's identity was only given at the END of his storyarc, not the beginning. It was supposed to be a shock (whereas I had a "Huh?" since they never explained anything).
-
Some of them might be held back a couple years (like the Olympian Guard one - Anni would KILL THEM if it was 600 pts so soon after it was released), but other than that? Nah they'll bring them all out sooner or later (I'm hoping for meat doctor - I might actually make a melee crab with THAT costume).
-
Yup - though all my characters were wiped so all I could/would do was roll a level 1 toon and look at the new incarnate powers.

My Big problem with /DA for Brutes is that Oppressive Gloom will hamper your fury generation, and Cloak of Fear + Death Shroud = end bar destruction. I would pair it with an end light primary, and throwing end reduction in death shroud and CoF is mandatory (consider slotting Cloak of Fear with an accurate tohit debuff set rather than fear - Death Shroud will interfere with it anyways).

Quote:Vernon Von Grun is greatest villain contact ever. Bar none.Writing better villain content is definitely harder in the context of the game. There's very few stand-out, villain focused comics in the real world too. Anything Weston Phipps was excellent in Grandville, but there's a strong lack of really 'villainous' content outside of the morality missions and tips. Not that it always requires a choice, but these showcase villainous ends better than most missions.
I've always disliked how great it is to rob a bank as a villain, and not actually get a real windfall of income. I can't really say how big a windfall that should be infamy-wise, and stealth pools sort of trivialize the effort involved, but robbing a bank in this game ought to pay off better than it does. It would offset the hero/villain disparity that's on most servers too. -
Quote:I've come out of Keyes with debt - that doesnt happen anywhere other than UGT - and that's if the league is light on mez protection. I also monitor my stealth radius at all times - and the stealth proc wasn't functioning last I tried. The same issue occurs during the final mission of Tin Mage, but there I simply Super Jump rather than Super Speed past the mobs. The stealth procs don't work? Odd: I never noticed that. I stealth around with a stealth proc stacked on superspeed in Keyes all the time and I seemed to be invisible, at least when running into bunkers. If the stealth proc was off and all I had was SS, I think they would spot me at that range.
Its certainly harder for blasters in general, but everything is harder for blasters in general as long as anything is shooting back. Which is actually why blasters tend to like BAF: not as much shooting back, and when it happens its usually when the league is in tight clusters of buffs and heals. But its not impossible for blasters to succeed in Keyes without special builds or powers. My blaster's only self heal is Destiny, and I don't have Electric Armor, and I'm not soft capped to anything, and I do fine. -
Yeah but CWK has GOOGLY EYES. That's the reason I love, not loathe, the CWK cutscene in Lady Grey (even if I'm speeding) - its just so hilarious.
-
It may be easy in that its hard to fail (I've failed more BAFs than Keyes (2 BAFs vs 0 Keyes - one was because of the escape phase, the other we ran out of time trying for Gotta Keep 'Em Separated), but it's extremely frustrating because of that damned pulse if you lack a self heal - on my Blaster a single pulse cannot be countered by 2 greens since I have +HP Accolades, and that means the Vickies can OHKO me. Which they do since I can't hide because my stealth proc doesn't work - forcing me to burn a respec for a single trial. (Also its incredibly punishing for squishies who dont take an electric armor from their patron/ancillary)

Quote:Eh it's probably gonna be something like "The Maelstrom device has received a significant upgrade from Neuron, dramatically improving Maelstrom's reaction times and movement capacities - during this trial, Maelstrom has 45% Defense to all attack types, along with 80% DDR and +200% Movement/Recharge time buffs".Yeah, I get that, but Maelstrom has been slapped around by everyone and his kid sister for months now. No one is going to take him seriously as an Incarnate-level threat, backstory be damned.
Since Maruader and Keyes both had their own MacGuffin reasons for their "awesome" power, it would make sense. I guess. -
The big one I want (in that I would abandon current progress on my Stalker for this) is Resistance - we get Seers, IDF, Warworks, Clockwork, but not any resistance mobs that were built as level 54 mob difficulty like the ones I mentioned? Me want my Resistance Heavy Barrel, thanks.
-
Apparently it breaks AE Mobs (both old and newly created) making Critter design hit and miss in the extreme since the old, defunct options are still in the list (or at least, broken costume options are pointing to the wrong piece).

Quote:These on-going tutorial missions must be pretty forgettable, since I run into players in their 30s, and it's almost as if they never ran them, because they don't know how to get to ATLAS PARK. Seriously, DFB seems to have completely negated any benefit these tutorial missions would've had. That's just another problem with all the new arcs; they're geared entirely for new players and have very little replay value. It's all "go here, talk to this guy, now go here, click this, read this, read this, oh, you finally get a mission, but it's full of more things you have to click and people to talk to and stuff to read." Once you've read it the first time, they're basically arcs full of the old and much beloved "defeat 30 Circle of Thorns and take the artifact to Azuria."

There was a time on test when this WAS the ultimate team - 8 stalkers with AS could destroy an AV in about 10 seconds (BU, AS, Placate, AS) since AS did about 5K damage against AVs and Heroes.

Quote:Am I the only one who read the bios of Prae and Primal Duray when I got to them before the rest of my team? Primal's working with them because he believes they're our best hope for defeating the Rikti - a pity no one mentioned to him that the Praetorian's are about to work with the Rikti to kick start their invasion ("Battle Maiden's Offensive" [Apex Task Force] is mentioned in the cut-scene as the reason they're leveling Skyway).I think it was more that they felt that people were relying on super-powered individuals too much. Which would end up with the supers making a power grab and taking over as a "Ruling Class"
I makes me curious about Praet Durray, and how he got Primal to agree to help them, because that Ruling class fear is embodied in Praetoria. -
You mean how it took them a full year to add First Ward, as if we somehow were only supposed to make it out of Praetoria proper by now? As opposed to the week it took my stalker? (And that was doing BOTH Warden and Responsibility.)

By the OP's logic, shouldn't Back Alley Brawler/Marauder get Street Fighting as their powerset?

Quote:The starred word is a racial slur. Also - doesn't Dominate from Psionic mastery bypass positional defense? All defenders works very well, however it does have a few weaknesses (why is ****** filtered???) in its armor. An all-defender team I ran with a while back was unable to complete LGTF due to the Hami mission. With more planning and a lot more EoEs it might have been doable as we did manage to kill one mito before giving up. An all corruptor team would probably have a better shot as their base damage is higher, and some enemies cheat and ignore or reduce debuffs.

Quote:People could solo GMs so they nerfed the reward to discourage it.If only there was a precedent for GMs giving decent rewards...oh wait, they used to be worthwhile and then suffered a massive reward nerf for no readily apparent reason from which they never recovered, because who wants to spend 15 minutes taking down something that doesn't even give as much XP/Inf as most EBs, let alone something commensurate with the effort required.
Then they nerfed the Controllers so they couldn't solo GMs. They never fixed the reward. Honestly most people don't bother with them unless they need the badges (redside two of the GMs are needed for an accolade, and one of those two unlocks a contact many like to run).
Also I'll never run this again, because there's too much work and minimal reward (no badges, the mobs are easy enough to find, etc). My Controller might run a couple arcs in ouro since they come with Ubar Boss/EB pets to buff. -

I now have my hopes for a "Nature Dominion" MM primary - gimme a Bear to send into battle. I don't care if it's melee heavy, I'll make due.
