Quote:I just don't understand why the devs are sitting on their hands and not introducing a telepathic interface for the game. It's easy, just code it up and put it on the live servers! Should only take an hour or two.2. The OP admitted he didn't bother reading the the product descriptions at all. He made an impulse purchase. That means even if the description had been wildly inaccurate at the time of purchase, he'd have never noticed it anyway because he couldn't be bothered to check until after he made his purchase and tried to use it.

Quote:You really can't understand why a Soldier of Arachnos -- the game's headlining villain group (usually) -- is constrained to starting villain-side?I would like to suggest that epic archetypes be allowed to be created as heroes, villains or praetorians.
I don't like the red side. I'd like to try out both the widow and the soldier- and I'm sure not gonna pay 800 points to bring them to blue side instantly. I just don't understand why they want to "force" me to choose to play redside if I select a certain AT.
So, I won't try that AT until they change this.
Anyway, we [REDACTED]. -
Quote:Apparently opinions are factually wrong now. I'll make a note of it.Again, from personal recent experience (on an emp defender, no less!!), this is just not the case. You are putting way too much emphasis on some how caring that other people are doing more damage than you are (of bleeping course they are, they have level shifts, stop worrying about it). I died once in four BAFs and once in three Lams - a total of two deaths over seven itrials - on a natural 50.
Having a level shift in BAF/Lam doesn't matter. Period. -
To be honest, it's better that it ends now, it would be straining credibility for most of the characters to remain in community college beyond 4 years (Pierce being the exception since he's been at Greendale for what, a decade now?).
The last 3 episodes that they burned off last week were amazing, despite the lack of much closure that almost would have been the perfect ending. -
Quote:You didn't read what I said. I didn't say it was important because the trials couldn't be completed, I said it's important because everyone else will be playing at a higher level than you and it will spoil the experience because you'll be constantly dying and/or simply not able to keep up with the damage the rest of the league is doing. Personally, it's my biggest frustration with "leveling" up a baby Incarnate these days, but fortunately iXP, Threads and components come more quickly than they used to.No, it's not important at all to have a level shift in BAF/Lam. The later ones, sure, especially the newer they get you want multiple shifts.
When the incarnate system was new, NO ONE had level shifts and yet we still completed things just fine. Now at least half the league will have 1-3 level shifts, making things much, much easier.
I spent the entire time on my two natural 50s (meaning no level shifts) doing things, healing/attacking/buffing/debuffing. I don't know what you're doing if you expect to have fun by doing nothing. Of course that would be boring. So don't do that.
On a sidenote, almost everyone had a level shift when the trials first came out. The Alpha slot came before any of the trials. -
Cry of the Forumite rolls a 99.9 -- HITS!

One of the devs will steal your first-born child upon purchase or upon birth, whichever comes first.

Quote:Which is why you *gasp* always have a backup when someone is unavailable. It's not rocket surgery, folks. Is it really the case that this many people simply suck at work?Screws up camping, going out of town, crashing at a friends place over night unless you plan for it and then bug someone else at work to do it.
By the same token, I agree with White Hot Flash; just because you don't have time to play during Freebie Friday doesn't necessarily mean that you can't just log in really quick and grab the shiny. If they ditch the idiotically inaccurate name then yeah, there would be no reason to have the event disabled at a later time. -
Quote:Yes, which is why generally it is important to have at least one level shift, because otherwise you will spend the entirety of the trial doing nothing, and it will be completely boring. Not a good way to intro to the trials.Keep in mind that this isn't the way most people feel. Most folks will simply be appreciative of another body on the league and the ability to finally start their activity.
I speak from personal experience of being a natural 50 on several recent itrials. Most folks just don't care.
I do, however, recommend sticking with BAF/Lam without any shifts. Maybe Keyes if the rest of your league is full of awesome. You really just can't pull your weight in the higher itrials because the enemies get shifts on top of being level 54, so your effectiveness plummets FAST. -

Quote:Some people derive value from going above and beyond the base expectations of their job, although I guess there are fewer and fewer people like that nowadays.Going to disagree with this. Why should someone at Paragon have to interrupt their time off?
The hours of this weekly event are clearly posted. If the player can't make time to log in within the 24-hour window, the reward must not mean that much to them.
Just my opinion...

Pinnacle forms in Dark Astoria (generally near Taskmaster Gabriel) and joining the PinnBadges global channel is a must.

I had some crafting discount coupons while buying Converters from a Merit Vendor, which consumed them and cut the inf cost of making the converters to 75% (down to 187,500 inf). After the last coupon was used, I was no longer able to make converters, despite having more than enough inf and Reward Merits. Astral Christy wouldn't give me any either despite having enough Astrals for a single Converter. After visiting a normal crafting table and crafting an IO, however, the issue seems to be fixed and the vendors will sell me converters for the normal price of 250,000 inf again.
The strangest part of all of this is that the bug spread to all of my other characters until I logged back onto my original character and fixed it by crafting an enhancement. I've filed a bug report but wanted to make a post just so other people (and hopefully a redname because it's kind of an annoying bug) can see it. -
Quote:Takes 3 minutes (presumably not very long anyway) and they could just offer an appropriate bonus? Not everybody goes out, you know. Hell, I'd do it for nothing if I were a dev. And you know, they do pay employees to work outside of normal working hours. If they required me, in my job, to interrupt my Friday evening plans after work for something so trivial, they'd have to compensate me quite a bit.
Everything I've done outside of normal work hours (mostly working the ticket gate at sporting events or working the Reserved Seating entrance at the football games) was purely voluntary and I was compensated extra for my time.
I believe the infringement on employees off-work time is also the reason they changed the scheduling of the updates to the Paragon Market.
EDIT: Friday night is one of the two days of the week that I'd NEVER ask an employee to have to interrupt their off-hours plans every week. Saturday would be the other day. -
Considering Friday evening in the United States timezones is primetime for game activity, the event should at least be extended so that it covers Friday evening. I have a hard time believing that the devs can't work out a way to disable the event remotely so one of them can do it in a couple minutes really quick at home.

That classy post was definitely worth necromancing a 4-month old thread.

Seen it in a couple places, I expect it's probably a bug since I don't tend to clear tips.

Quote:??????????????Corpse Counter can be amazingly simple if you have someone that can taunt. A while back the tank on a run told everyone to stay put after we took out the last mob that spawns the AV.... He went down alone and came back with the AV following. Not a single Cadaver followed and we were able to use ALL of our attacks and easily earn the badge. Just another lesson players can learn.. how to properly use your TANK lol
You don't need a Tank. Everyone uses single-target attacks on the AV until dead. That's all you need to do. -
Once again marketing drops the ball and promises the moon before delivering a small chunk of moon rock. Although it shouldn't come as any real surprise, nothing in the original announcement suggested that it would be consumables only as appears to be the case.
No, it's not a slap in the face, but the whole thing was pretty misleading, but I'm honestly starting to expect that from Paragon Studios these days. -
I'd like to buy one of those and set it on my bedside table so I can never sleep again.

I'm almost positive that it's been broken for nearly as long as I've been playing the game (Issue 4/5).
