As I said, Live server works perfectly, Test was working fine just a few days ago, and I didn't change anything in the interim.
I didn't make this thread looking for a fix really; I mean, it's Test, not a big deal if I can't play on it. But if there's something wrong with a recent patch, something that might prevent myself and others from playing when I16 goes Live, that's going to be a problem. In hindsight, it might have been better to post this on the I16 Feedback or Bugs subforums. -
...What's your idea?
Also: IBTL because people aren't capable of being mature and this thread will inevitably devolve into fighting, etc. -
Did you read what I said? I'm sure the ping has nothing to do with it, I only posted it for the sake of completeness. The issue is the framerate, which isn't even hitting 5 FPS. On Live I get a few FPS below 30.
-
I logged onto Test about 10 minutes before tonight's maintenance window to try out a respec, and found myself hit with a horribly laggy mess (this was just after coming off of Live, which ran fine). Since I wasn't going to try a respec under those conditions and with so little time anyway, I decided to try again later. After the newest patch, gameplay is still extremely jittery, framerate less than 5 FPS, longer than usual load times, with a netgraph that looks like it fell out of an ugly tree and hit a few branches on the way down.
Last time I played was anywhere from a few days to a week ago, and everything was working fine (and Live is still working fine, I just checked). So I guess my question is - WTF? Should I be worried about not being able to play I16 when it goes to Live? -
Quote:I don't think it's anything personal, it just happens that your idea is poorly thought-out and awful.Gee,i dont think that any suggestion that I,or anyone else made, plays with this crowd. Is it something to just tear down to make yourselves feel better,or something?
You want teams? Join a Supergroup with coalitions. Join a global channel on your server. Sending out random tells is one way to get a team, but it's far from the best way.
By the way, this?
Quote:I have made team requests properly, like players reqyest me to do,and in all that, you would expect to land a player or two,but suprisingly....
"Not right now,Thank you"
"No,thank you though"
"No,Im playing with my supergroup right now"
"No,im getting ready to log"
"Getting ready to log, actually, but thank you though"
Maybe you're right. This game should be all teaming, all the time. What's that, you need to go sell your drops and level? Better hurry, if you don't get back quickly enough you're going to get auto-kicked from the team. Need to respec? Better pick those powers and slot them out fast, you don't want to lose Team Veteran Rewards. The more draconian this game is about teaming, the better.
On an entirely separate note:

Quote:That's an odd comment, my DB/WP Brute was one of my fastest leveling toons.I'm sure they probably do exist out there, but I can't recall seeing too many Dual Blade brutes, certainly none above 20 or so. I made one the other day and then thought I might check the brute forums for some advice on the set (seeing how I've only played it on a stalker before). Not one thread in the first two pages mentioned it, but I did see lots about Stone armor and one or two other primaries/secondaries.
I'm sure this is due to the resisted damage. Personally I could give a rat's scab about worrying about numbers, I do not play this game to serious business my fun time. -
Doesn't matter, the spammers have already started spamming in Local.
I don't understand why they allow spammers to create new accounts. Seems like if you ban someone's account you don't let them create a new one. -
I would guess that it was a click power in some old iteration of the power? Can't find any reference to such a change though.

The Steel Canyon fires in particular are just dull to begin with. I'm an Invulnerability/Super Strength Tanker, and the only way I can help with a burning building is to spray out fires with a fire extinguisher? I don't think so.

The horrible problems from yesterday are better, but I'm still DCing at least once a day (yes yes, I only have one data point since yesterday for that statement). I was just in a mission and got hit with a yellow lag spike that sent me back a short distance on the map. Later on I DCed in the last room. (EDIT: And a second DC just now while I wasn't looking. Fine, I know when I'm not wanted. We'll see if you're a little less moody tomorrow, game.)
This is beyond frustrating. I can't count how many missions I've had to repeat (or outright drop out of frustration) because of this. I can't even get a traceroute through without it dropping off at around hop 10 for East Coast servers, low teens for West Coast servers. Really really really hope this gets fixed before I'm forced to take another break.

What Kierthos says. The best way to know for certain is (if you can) to run HeroStats while you play and look at the accuracy stats on the powers as you use them over time. If the numbers correspond to the (enhanced) accuracy values for your powers, everything's fine, you're just hitting the streakbreaker more then you'd like, or you're experiencing some sort of psychological effect (I always feel like my War Mace Brute's accuracy has been nerfed despite the high base accuracy values, because when she misses I really feel it).

St. Martial does have a Longbow Ballista that pops up every now and then, although he's not announced on the zone event channel. Defeating him on my Thugs/Pain granted that toon the Villain badge (1000 Longbow) in a rather awesome moment.

Quote:Enjoy your ad hominem attacks, I'll be standing over here for the duration of the thread. How do you not comprehend "Supply goes up, price goes down"?
Please explain to me what exactly you think would happen with 2x Merit reward weekend. There would be an increase in supply and a decrease in price. At minimum, this event would cause temporary changes. Why would anything else happen. Currently, your last 3 statements in this thread have sounded like incompetence. Perhaps you misspoke or I misunderstood something. -
Quote:I agree, an end-game raid featuring an enormous GM would be awesome.See look at all those awesome monsters and most are blueside. I don't play wow but I hear there are tons of Rularuu-size monsters on there. And it's a given that everyone that participates has that accomplished mindframe after decimating a GM. Heck, maybe even have a big raid with a GM or two at the end for lvl 50's. Nonononono, wait, that would be end-game content wouldn't it? lol

Quote:Fine, you're right. I do know how the market works thank you very much, I just didn't consider people playing more TFs. I retract my previous statement. You clearly don't understand how the market/ae works. AE has floored supply because people no longer get drops from killing regular minions. Now the majority of the market comes from ONLY ticket drops because those are the only drops you get from an AE mission (unless it is dev's choice). Playing TFs will get you regular drops from the baddies and also merit reward rolls/purchases.
EDIT: Sorry, no I don't. Double XP Weekends screw up the market despite increased TF plays. Temporary, but the effect does exist. -

Quote:The devs don't really tend to do American-centric events. I certainly don't think people who play on the European servers would be able to appreciate such an event.one of my other ideas is a thanksgiving event with a giant turkey spawning, and picnic baskets, that spawn smaller rabid turkeys, have it happen over thanksgiving weekend, say wed-sun night, ive suggested it in the past but allways get no answer, some game just need a silly event every so often to liven it up

I would love this, especially if it's an actual Giant Monster, and not just a normal-sized baddie labeled so (I'm looking at you, Ghost of Scrapyard and Caleb). Examples: Lusca, Jack in Irons, Eochai, the Clockwork GMs. Preferably a villain-side GM would be something that a villain would want to actively go after, for profit or just for kicks. Maybe a GM with a heroic bent?

Being able to convert inspirations doesn't make sense from a story standpoint either. Neither does a lot of QoL functionality. Remember, it's still a game. There's no point in playing if it stops being fun, and a lot of times, stuff like not being able to find the last glowie kills the fun.

Wouldn't base rezzing break the team up anyway? Is it even possible to base rez in Cimerora? I thought they removed that functionality in order to keep people from breaking up mixed teams.
-
Just started for me yesterday. I'm almost wondering if this is related to the East Coast connection issues, since I live on the East Coast.

Quote:Sure, just like tickets! Oh wait, tickets have floored supply and destroyed the market.Double Merit Weekend... it'd be like the reverse of a Double XP Weekend... instead of a massive surge of demand and inflation (causing the markets to go to hell in a handbag for a few weeks/months), it'd cause a massive increase in supplies, hopefully resulting in increased competition & decreased demand, likely causing a decrease in prices...
Sounds interesting!
