  1. I'm sorry you got ripped off, should happen in this community.
I know some people said it and if they could i have no doubt most of them will, but i'm going to do what imo is the right thing to do.

I have a Glad Arm proc, level 10, was saving it for one of my alts.
Pick a number, any number, and i'll sell it to ya for that price.
Send me a tell @Dark Energon, or meet me in game in Pocket D. I'll prob be on most of the day.

(Seriously, though, take care, and have fun! You'll be missed!)
    AND THIS TOO!

I will fondly remember the time in Pocket D where you just popped up and started dancing.
Willingly answering several questions, and even joining our Incarnate Trials.
The Trials were pretty new back then, still with lots of bugs. Lambda went fine, but a bug stopped your from joining our BAF, we jokingly said you should contact support regarding that. You showed humor with your response: "Yup, guess it's petition writing time."

Seriously, Beastyle, i'm glad i saw you today at the Dev Held CC. If i knew you'd be leaving us i would have said bye bye toon to toon.

So i guess after Mod8 and States, i'll be hanging another banner in the base in your honor.

Keep in touch, and good luck!

I doubt that the people 'like me' who do not stand for greedy selfish players are keeping the very people we stand up for away from these forums.

And if that is a stab towards my home server, well, at least i'm not the one putting my home server in a bad light.

    Regarding the Freedom server:
There are MANY great players on that server, and they outnumber the bad players by a great amount. The reason why a lot of people hate that server is because the bad apples are hogging the spotlight.

Depending on the work and worth of their deeds they should get a normal compensation. Wanting to sell names of toon you stated wanna delete anyways for 300mill is not a fair compensation.

I/O's are plenty in the game. They cost to craft, they are not free to create. Even if you have memorized the recipe, and all the salvage you need to create it is dropped in mission, it'll still cost you inf to create. The costs of these I/O's on the market are about the same as the cost to create it, plus a minimal amount for the creator's time and effort.

A name, is chosen at creation, it is never paid for.

The fact that he wants to delete the toons anyways, but trying to make inf of them, and a ridiculous amount (300mill per name) at that, just rubbed me the wrong way.

Seems like you need to put two letters and a space in front of your name.
But hey, that's just MY opinion.

A price tag like that meant only people who were really, truly serious about wanting to change servers would even consider it. Otherwise, people would transfer from, say, Champion to Freedom to run a task force, then transfer back. That's not how the devs wanted the service to be used, so they attached a pretty serious "Are you SURE?" to the whole process in the form of a not-insignificant price tag.
Then explain to me why they have been cramming these server transfers on my account. every. single. month?

Spending time and effort on something that you do not want to have sell well, is a reason to fire people who think of such ideas.

I'm not upset about it or anything, so I don't really need any comfort, but thanks anyway.
    Feeling the same way.

I'm not saying it won't be ready, i'm saying it won't be released.
Looking at two things here.. history from the past 3 years is one.
Second one.. Loyalty program. The Salute to Statesman loyalty program runs from December 1st 2011 to March 31st 2011.
Smart marketing, and i agree they haven't been know for that recently, would be to release it after this program ends.
  10. Ever thought that not the whole i22 part is on beta yet? that instead of throwing everything at once, they split it up? Lessen their workload, more focus on less things?

The pre-order items, Good vs Evil items, and GR: Complete Collection items did not carry with them an added cost. And in the case of the GvE and GR:CC items, those were available to buy separately from the box at the same time or very shortly after the box release.

Whether that's a valid justification or not for keeping them exclusive now is something I have no opinion on.
    FYI:
I have the Gamestop GR pre-oder, and i had to wait until GR went live for my powersets, while others who per-ordred it online got them right away.
It may not be a price tag, but it was 6 months extra waiting to get what i paid for at the same time as my friends. Even had to wait a day extra for it to be released in the store, while all my friends were in Praetoria due to the early launch online.
I hated it when they got in the Reward Program, because they do say EXCLUSIVE on the box.

For those dropping $100 on the CoH:CE, i feel ya, i was close to buying it several times.. till a few months ago i stumbled across a forum post from a person saying he had one left.. i bought it for $15 bucks and am now the proud owner of the V.I.P. badge

God, i hope it'll be on April 9th so i can rub this in your face.
  13. April 9th.

History will show that last 3 years Issues have been coming out in April.
History will also show that never has there been an Issue released in March.
And the only time an Issue was released in February was in 2006.

They will not go for the obvious April fool's joke by releasing it on April 2nd, they have something else in store for that.

Ok, fine, since you insist on going in depth about this:

I was team leader doing my missions arc with a few friends, and someone got one of these leadership badges. This actually happened several times.

More times it happened while being on a Rikti Raid.
I got my last one while being on one and not being team lead, and i know other got theirs while not being team lead on one.

ITF's are where a lot of people get their leadership badges while NOT being the team/TF leader.

Glad i'm one of the few who do not fall in that category.
A few new people wanted to have a few arena fights on my home server. I was on my best toon, and thought why not show them some tricks and have them see what they are working for. After the leader placed me with the two highest levels, basically me 50, a 38 and a 32 vs a levl 29, 23 and a lvl 14, i suggested to just give me the level 14 and have the rest on the team against me to make things fair. He didn't want to listen, started the match, saw that even with me not really attacking were outclassed and they quit.

A day before that i had an Arena match with 4 new players vs me, and showed them some stuff. They were amazed that people could get this strong, and were happy i showed them and took the time after the fight, even during the fight to talk to them and give them tips and advice.

So in a nutshell: Not all hardcore PvP'ers lie. I find that the few who love PvP as much as i do, are actually nice people and only want to have new PvP'ers to have fun.

This is one of the reason we have FNFN (Friday Night Fight Night) on our server. Not only so us PvP'ers get our fix, but also to shw new players that not all PvP'ers are jerks, and to help them to learn about PvP.

To be honest, i'm sorry you found a jerk that ruined that event for you and your friends. I hope you understand that even the small PvP crowd has bad apples, and the real PvP'ers do not like these jerks either.
  21. Can i get a red name or so chime in with their two cents?

I hate that i get TP'd during missions by friends at the worst possible times without notice.
Also the fact that my team has to adjust to this bug doesn't bode well.

This is my main toon, when i play, i spend about 95-99% of my time on him, and i play for a good 6hrs per day.

This is getting to me, and if this isn't either fixed, or noted by a red name that they are looking into this, i will change my course of action. Meaning the server i call home, will be without one of the people that is always willing to help others, willing to give advice and one of the players people know they can count on.

CS is sending me to the boards, but the Devs on the boards are not helping.
This is breaking my game, and it seems that the people who can help, don't care.

But it doesn't work that way anymore, and that is why i said, imo it's a bug.

    To the OP:

The issue with a lot of new people, esp the DfB babies is that they don't read chat. They don't have to cause, well, DfB is so easy even a blind man can lead a deaf guy to a completion*.
This DfB behavior actually trickles over to Incarnate Trials too.
I actually have a feeling that with the new DiB, it'll only get worse, at least now they are semi forced to do other content past level 30 to gain significant xp, but with the new DiB, that is nullified.

One thing i really don't understand from the Dev point of view:
They wanted to take away the Empy rewards on BAF and Lambda because in their opinion, we were ignoring the rest of the Trials.
However, they see DfB as such a success that are giving a follow up in DiB. This basically means that you can start in DfB, move to DiB and get PL'd to 50 while ignoring the rest of the games content.
This also means that they see AE PL as bad, but D#B PL is good. >.<

    Makes sense, right?

*This is not meant to offend those who are deaf and blind. I have the utmost respect for those who have to miss out on what this wonderful world could offer, while being hindered in their own life.
