I agree it's weird. I would also like to blame PvP balance as the reason for why we can't have nice things.

You know since the system can only identify targets on hit and act accordingly, which is probably why we have this temp power situation. Easiest way to get the effect,not draw agro and not interfere with PvP.

I think people should stop complaining that they have to do work to unlock the patron pools.

Depends on if they just have higher perception or if they ignore stealth like Drones and KoA do.

So this is where we flashback to Issues 7-13 where a Villain had to fully research the Pool they wanted because they were locked in once you decided which patron you wanted and had to complete some fairly hard arcs to gain access to them.


All this time the actual value of the pools themselves was questionable as well. And the community had along and active thread of some 2000+ posts over the course of a couple of years before the devs even acknowledged there might be a problem, and the Villain community had to deal with a lot of nonsense from the Hero community.(Although there were a few people that actually played both sides and offered good input)

Finally I13 You can Respec between patron pools now.

Great but there's still some imbalance problems.

I14-16.

Awesome Patron Pools are on the level of the Hero Ancillaries.
Sadly it took nearly 10 issues to get that way.

And now here we are at I18 and GR.
And what do I see, Hero's complaining.

Now granted you may be a new player so wouldn't be aware of all the troubles with the Patron Pools throughout CoV history and may not have been able to participate in the ongoing process. Overall though Hero players largely ignored the problems, scoffed at the idea there might be a problem and several people even said to "cry moar"

So now I say to Hero players too frickin bad. Villain players put in a lot of work,time and energy into the Patron Pools, and I see no reason why Hero's switched to Villains shouldn't have to unlock them in the same manner Villains do.

So no to allowing Heroes to get Patron Pools without having to Switch.
However I would like to see some Hero Patron Pools and content made.

all get no benefit from Domination

Since we have a 9 power spread I think it's safe to say that 5 powers counts as half

so Half of Elec Control gets no benefit from Domination.

oh look Illusion Control has 6 powers that wouldn't benefit.
not seeing a big deal here in comparison to Elecs 5

The interesting thing is out of all the factions in Praetoria, Hamidon is the most honest in what it wants to do.

Unfortunately I haven't completely lost faith in humanity yet and find myself unable to side with Hamidon at this time.

Except for being in the 70's and made for TV it can get the same pass the Adam West Batman does.

I also think Brand New Day is the worst Spiderman anything ever.

Well one time a ways back, I was on a Numina with a PuG.

We get to the point where the DE ambush you and I think all of the ambush went for me.

Fortunately I was on my Scrapper and proceeded to take them out.
The rest of the team had zoned into Eden already so it was jsut me.

Actually the way Demoralize works is it grants the target a temp power that is flagged for immediate use. Which is why if the mob dies it doesn't work.

This is also why if a Freakshow that was AS'd rezzes the effect goes off again.They still have the temp power and it's still flagged for immediate use.

With the cases given here Blizzard has to pull off all it's ticks to beat Inferno that pulls off all it's ticks and dots.

Keeping that in mind Stalker Assassination is the most consistent high damage attack you can get that's available to players.

You'd be better off testing against an EB.

AV's are designed as team content and it's very rare corner cases that can take them down solo.

EB's are intended to be a fight one can handle while solo. Unfortunately my experience with most of them is that a Stalker isn't exactly the greatest at taking those down either.

Even more depressing is my /Traps Cor probably takes down an EB in the same time as my Stalker would, but gets to do it in complete safety before drawing any agro at all.

Stalkers are worried about being replaced by everyone else.

I personally am worried for the state of Stalkers come I19 when we get The Alpha Incarnate Slot and content, that's supposed to be heavily team focused form the last news we had.

And then writes "Happy Birthday" with agent X's intestine.

Silver Mantis SF can still be started from the SG base for Villain groups.

Cathedral of Pain is also started from the SG Base.

How did they loose uniqueness?

Fury still works, from what I understand overall it degrades slower unless your at the higher end of the bar.

So if Fury is still there and lasts longer how have they lost uniqueness?

While I haven't played DB very far I do remember having both the Sweep combo and the Empower combo Pre Travel power.

both of which should be available in the earlier levels.

sometimes I'll reply to the NPCs. Heck when I was going through the RWZ arcs I had several choice things to say to various NPC's along the way. Sometimes I said it out loud, sometimes I said it to myself and sometimes I typed it in.

Although one time I was meeting up with a friend and I had finally designed a civilian costume for my character. So I was waiting around in the civilain outfit when he came by also in Civilian clothing so I actaully Spouted something about one his previous missions like an NPC would.

We bot hahd alol and thought it was agreat way to kick off that particular RP moment.
