Basically, like the TTS support in UT2004? That was a handy thing to have, and I can read just fine.

I'm all for it for function's sake, even if it's just restricted to one channel at a time (I dread to think how horrific it would be listening to the TTS engine reading more than one channel... ear pain).

No. It isn't. Technically or otherwise. It's a compatibility layer, providing DLLs in the place of the Windows ones Linux doesn't have. Nothing is being emulated at all.

Breaking news: almost EVERY power in CoX has been utilised in some form by an existing copyrighted fictional character outside of NC's IP.

And I've already proven that elasticity is not a power exclusive to Marvel Comics or even DC.

I doubt it. Last I heard, it's impossible to use an non-Steam [i]EVE Online[i] account with the Steamed version of that game without buying a new account via Steam at least, so I assume it's highly likely to be the case with any NC game too.
