Servers down on a sunday?

After experiencing dbserver roblems and a conn loss. Now I cannot even logon. As I can connect to this forum, that means Servers down.

Hope there is someone over there to feed the hamsters.

Everything is working fine here. Both Union and Defiant working a-ok. Looks like the problem is from your end.

I'm having a few issues myself, at first couldn't log in, checked the server status. Then after I was able to log in, I clicked union...couldn't log in, tried again, got into union, loaded a toon, played a mission...lost connection exiting the mission now main site page wont load. Server must be hung over from a BBQ lol

Can login fine, it's picking a server that's bringing up the "Can't connect to DBServer error"...

The hell it's anything on my end, considering I could get in fine last night.

That has little to do with it.

I can guarantee you, the servers are fine; I can login and play without ANY problems.

By "your end", I mean somewhere between your PC and NC's servers. You likely have a routing problem from your end.

Perhaps trying to correlate data instead of everyone just saying "I can't get on"? Work the problem folks!

What ISP's are you on?
Have you done a tracert to the servers? What hop does it fail at?

Did I say that? No I didn't.

What I said was that instead of people throwing up "Me too's", DO something about it. Run a tracert to NC's servers and try to find out where the problem IS instead of just assuming it's NC.

Once you've done that, you'll have some concrete information to contact support with and get the problem resolved. You have to help yourselves.

Last time I had this very problem I traced and found it was one of the last hops before NC run by Tiscali (now there's a surprise )

How can I try that, FFM? I haven't crashed that bad, just a huge lag feeling and lost conn once per day for the last couple of weeks, but I know people who is experiencing the same problems already exposed in this thread; I've created my own thread, but now I've read yours, and I'd like to know the solution so I could send it to them.

My problem is that I log in fine, but when I click on union (specifically), I get the DB Server could not connect dialog several times and when after the umpteenth attempt I finally get through to union, all is then fine and I can log out and back into new characters fine.

I get that sometimes.

If it happens again, select another server (I always pick defiant) then back up to server selection and try union again.

Always lets me straight in after i've done that.
