My 45 months here i can never remember 800 - 900 per night, except if it was at the VERY start of the game Most i ever see online is roughly 500.

They stopped recently the transfer of EU > US and vice versa and while yes two of their servers have insanely high numbers, the rest of them are roughly the same as ours (think our union/defiant would rank between 3rd or 5th in population).

Also after my 2 months away from the EU just after xmas going to the US i can happily say i was glad to come back! Yes you get a HEELLLLL of a lot more PUGs and randomness but the sheer rudeness/elitism over there is unreal. Oh and once they found out my character is from the EU all my experience became "null and void" apparantly . . . . . .

Stay with the EU and the special community feel we have!!!

I have been saying they should just merge Union and Defiant for a while now.
Or allowed EU->US server transfers.

But ncsoft just doesnt care.

Correction, they care about what more than one person think.

Union and Defiant have each grown to have their own unique groups and flavours. Some people wouldnt like a merge, some are indifferent. The issue of name clashes is also a problem.
Take that to an EU-US scale, and you get one big mess.

Anyway, Merger threads are actually not allowed. So lets avoid that can of worms.

Sure name clashes are going to be a problem, but unique groups and flavours? That makes no sense.
You can just not team. Just because 500 people join something doesnt mean it will disrupt an original group.

And yes, I play on Union. I also play this game mostly for the RP. Adding Union and Defiant together *might* work alright. But it might also lead to a ton of arguements.

Anyway, it really isnt our call. NC run the joint, and will for some time I think.

This is an odd thread normal when this topic comes up there’s lots of ranting. But so far that’s been kept to the minimum. Maybe this topic has been done to death but then again maybe not.


Not wanting to get in to the pros and cons of the merger side of things. I looked at what might be behind malcontent with the currant set up. All I an really see is he finds it hard to find a team.

My solution to that was always made my own team up, but I can truly say I can’t remember the last time I had to. This down to those I play with we play together a lot and I’m sure this is a common thing as a lot of have been here for a long time. We play with the same team most of the time and occasionally have 1 or 2 strangers in the team (we’ve had blue rabbit with on a few occasions and they don’t come much stranger :P )

Maybe the problem is we’ve become to cliquey.

I guess the clique bit comes with a lower population.

If you join a team of people and get on with them, you team with them again, join the SG, join the global channel etc etc.

I know I'm guilty of this, a lot of the time I would rather solo than PuG. I've joined a few PuG's and quite often you soon realise how good those SG teams are. You get used to the way your regular mates play and how they expect you to play.

Global server lost would help a bit, our group could expand by findning a few more like minded people. But it would make Atlas & PI worse with more "lvl 3 tank wan farm" type things.

This is where it happens tbh. The few times recently that I've been invited into pug teams I've actually really enjoyed myself. It doesn't matter if there's a positive or negative skill gap as long as the people you're hanging out with are amiable good times will ensue, and 99% of people I find amiable in this game. The main problem for me with pugs is I don't really look for pugs on my 50s (farming with randoms seems dull to me when I don't really need inf that much), and I have few toons not at 50 these days lol, gotta save up for some new slots methinks...

Honestly people, these are public forums! You can't be making general statements on your experience with players from other parts of the world, statements that could easily be considered racist.

Please be mindful when you post here. For instance, we have a few players on these forums who are from North America and they are perfectly well integrated!

Now, going back to the topic at hand, there is no possibility to transfer between territories at this time. It doesn't mean there will never be a way to do it but right now, it is not the case.

I understand creating a new account US-side means you won't be able to transfer your progress and earned bonuses, but this is currently the only option if you wish to leave our cozy European servers.

Now, since an answer has been provided (to the server transfer, not to the lack of MA farms!!), and to avoid further drifting into dangerous territories, I am locking this thread!
