Yup it does.
When you purchase the code you get sent to your Master Account to create a new account or apply it to an old one.
EDIT: You may have to start downloading the game first however before the option comes up.

For what it's worth, it's worth downloading and running it va Steam. I did that, copied all the relevant back up files, like mission arcs, screenshots, bindfiles etc across to the right folder and play it from there. If you can leave your PC running online with Steam running, it automatically downloads and installs any patches and updates as they come up, so no more waiting for it to patch when a new issue comes out

I hard-linked my CoX folder to the steam one, 1 partial install and I can now update/play using either method Updater/Steam

Indeed a good question Cynic... Would be worth it for the patches even if I routinely shut down steam!

Just add a shortcut via the "Add non-Steam game..." button below your Games menu?

I doubt it. Last I heard, it's impossible to use an non-Steam [i]EVE Online[i] account with the Steamed version of that game without buying a new account via Steam at least, so I assume it's highly likely to be the case with any NC game too.
Might be your only option in the end. Might. :\

Can't understand why Steam can't scan the HD and find steam'ish games. Someone should slap their devs properly until they fix it.
Aside from the afore mentioned thing of adding a game manually, there are *some* games that be added to Steam if you already own it, via the serial code, although it's not a huge list and COH isn't on there yet.
Hopefully NCsoft will change things so that we can add them? That would be dead handy!
Sadly, I can't add Bioshock the same way either, which is annoying as I think my disc is scratched

Good morning! I just wanted to broadcast a doubt that a friend of mine has related to this Steam thingy, so any of you can reply and give a solution to it.
As you may remember when the Mac Edition was released, it could be bought from the net store and you were given a code to use in your account, even if you weren't a Mac user, and improve your Pc account, getting "Valkyrie pack" and 1 free month as well.
K, so my friend would like to know if it's the same now that Architect Edition has been released through Steam, because he just checked Steam website and it seems that it's a code for creating a new account, BUT it happened the same with Mac Edition and in the end those codes were added to actual Pc accounts with no problems at all.
So... Does any of you know if it's indeed the same system?
