  1. Your patron hold is your hardest hitting attack in pve. Make sure to pick it up and slot it for damage. With this being for pvp don't ever drop aim, ever. you can slot repel for some more kb protection. Phase shift and power boost are overslotted, 2 lvl 50 ios are good to go on pb and 1 recharge in in phase is planty thanks to no phase. You want to switch hurdle for swift. the 3 heals in health are really a waste and I would recommend dropping the regen tissue as well. Now that I really look at is drop repel out for ss. I would possibly switch the decis for devas for more +dam. Also not sure where you pvp at but you will probbaly find your self wanting much much more kb protection from ios.

About the same thing a good emp blaster combo can do now, your point?

    [/ QUOTE ]
I would have thought that it would be far easier to kill both the emp and the blaster than it was before. Are you saying that's not the case?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Haven't tried to kill alot of emps in the new system have you.
  3. The patron holds are your best attack. And as for the one buff I took on mine, it was forge. In this day and age of moar damage it seemed like the best bang for the buck. though a point can be made for thaw or the shields as a holder for a kb io.
  4. You will need phase shift. For elec kin you probably want to go with gw for pb. Pb is pretty worthless in pvp anymore but this one spot where its really noticeable.

We had a full RV going for a long time. It was awesome.

You can do this on freedom, pretty much all day every day.

Oh, I see you edited your OP in attempt to state your actual point. Thank you! That type of thing is actually quite helpful when you start a new topic.

    [ QUOTE ]
Now today i managed to jump into a pack of 10+ foes kill 3 or so and get out, while being attacked by atleast 9 of them and a heavy.

So, you're trying to demonstrate that your character is overpowered now?

You said you sucked (i.e. running away was hard) before the changes and now you're Statesman's gift to pvp. If the devs goal was to help the players that sucked, maybe they succeeded?

Do you have any combat logs showing what a emp/blaster duo could do before the changes? You might find the data interesting, if you have it.

I can clarify the 44. If you are pvping on freedom or arena and only have 8 you will spend most your time on your [censored]. And once they know they will continue to put there. On justice for casual zones 8-12 would be plenty though, but then you aren't really fighting that many people at once there.

    Earth/Energy

Think you want more damage in power push in i15. May be wrong though its been a long day and my brain is a bit fuzzy.
  9. Using the gve jump pack out of hiber is very handy. yes I still get killed coming out sometimes , but it is very rare. I will say though for the most part what I see in zones is I am an expcetion and most people get wrecked coming out of hiber.

You are going to want a ton more kb protection on a nin. I would even recommend if you haven't finished this going back and doing either wp or regin. You will get tossed a ton on nin get no repel protection and that little kb. If you are dead set on keeping nin and plan on pvping with the big boys with it you will want repel protection bonsues and around 44 or kb protection(44 is not a typo).

Edit: if anyone wants any of my other builds holler and I will post them up.
  11. And it would depend on playstyle as well. I prefer hibernate over phase in almost all situations except for when somone phases and it cost me a kill. But for most people hibernate is a death sentence in zones. You really have to be on your game to escape on an even semi regular basis in zones.

  15. Npcs are alot tougher than when you left.
  16. You can get some of the kb bonuses on the cheap with the res set for pvpos. Just get the pieces that are 'garbage' end/rech res/rech and the like. Think I got my 6 pieces I slotted in hoarfrost and ice shield for around 9 million total.

I slotted hoarfrost with 3 numis heal, heal/end heal/rech and 3 res pieces res/rech end/rech and the tri for some reason was really cheap. That about caps heal rech and end and picks up some very nice bonuses.
  17. The sad truth is most arena pvp is dead and gone. This leaves zone pvp where mms for the most part are at a huge disadvantage thanks to npcs. I will say a good mm turtle is pretty tough to crack though.

Sorry for my questions cause I just came back to CoX.

What happened to MMs that made them so bad? They used to dominate pvp :/, did they get rid of Bodyguard?

And stalkers back on top? Wasn't it only a year ago when they were deemed a noob gimmick that can only perform against defenseless and unaware players who aren't even there to pvp in the first place?

I notice they nerfed ET in EM, that's huge, that was the one power that raised that set above all other melee sets. Without the ET/TF combo, there's really no tank/brute that can still be an offensive threat, unless they somehow buffed all the other sets, which probably didn't happen. And without the AS/ET/TF chains, no stalker really has a good damage combo they can perform quickly to get an instant kill and then get the heck out before they themselves get hit, so how are they ranked so high?

These observations are still based on my prior experience pvping before all the IO stuff. Have IOs completely altered the inherent nature of all ATs at this point?

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Wb Star.

MMs are about where they used to be. Hell pain dom mms are probbaly one of if not the toughest toons out there atm.

Stalkers can still wipe nubs out pretty quick. And in the right hands both elec/ and em/ can still do very good.

SS is now THE set for tanks. When they 'fixed' pvp they changed the way attack damage is based. So now longer animations do more damage. With this hurl and the attacks in stone mastery being pushed by rage hit like a ton of bricks.

For the last thing, yes ios change alot.

10 sec, 15 sec. Damage is not effected by DR. people can still easily reach HP cap for their AT. High +recharge over 100% for example, has noticeable DR disadvantages. Any attack that follow right after dominate and levitate and will no longer mezz or KU therefor choose the best attack chain for your situation; ie, if target is low on health choose burst damage chain and dps chain for tanks etc. make sure you put out dominate and levitate every 10-15 sec. TK's hold will go off then on and continue on that way till u are detoggled. It is most useful against rads and melee ATs that have no mezz attacks nor repel protection.

    [/ QUOTE ]

This is pretty spot on except that damage does get dred. Its alot softer at lower lvls of +dam than most things but grab a tray of reds hit a pvp enabled area and check out where it really starts to get hit.
