ive gotten to 40% defense and 74% resist on my fire tank shown here

i can get him to 45 % which is the soft cap for defense but..i would have to move slots that im not prepared to do honestly.

however it was hella exspensive

some of the best sets for fire/fire is obileration..you have 5 pbaoes blazing aura,burn,consume and fire sword cirlce.

plus you can get bonus's from taunt and to hit guassian set

for your melee powers like incinerate and gfs you can also use touch of deaths..all melee defense

plus there are the steadfast 3% defense that you can buy cheap now . glad armor also has one but its bigger in cost.also titanium coating for your sheilds is another too look at as well like krunch said


as far as resistance goes..the only two i have to help is the sheild wall 3% resist i.o and bonus's from the pvp melee set .both are crazy high in price though

Grounded gives 6 points of Immobilize protection. It gives 15 points of KB protecttion... when 'on the ground.'

That last bit can trip you up. Be aware that your KB protection will be hit-or-miss when on slopes or other uneaven ground.

the recipe slots are nice...but uh fog of war?...am i suppose to be familar with this term?

elec doesnt have any defense at all so basically it would all be from bonus's and weave and cj if you would soft cap it right?


and i would never skip fitness even with perma cp..just cause of all the uniques like the ps + end ,numina regen/recov, miracle + recov/pancea +hp ( all these slots come from not slotting scorch . i guess its more important to me then a minor damage power..to each is own i guess)

not to mention why i have such issues with people taking weave and cj for lotg+ recharges on fire tanks let alone elec tanks

too many great things to place in toons to skip fitness imo,unless your just gonna make it to sit or have a pocket emp around then sure..


question though...grounded has what 6 kb protection right?

the last dev that wanted more doesnt work here anymore..

shhhhhhh dont ask..maybe next year after they rebalance again :P

Coldmed, are you clueless? The 1st choice for brutes and scrappers is between scorch and fire sword, not cremate. Cremate is a level 2 pick, when you Tankers get Combustion, which many scrappers and Brutes would trade for Cremate as it was said several times.

scorch is minor damage..fire sword is mod damage =tanks first 2 picks

brutes first 2 picks.. fire sword and cremate a mod and high damage power..yeah i feel for brutes :/


like i said..no brute should EVER complain about tanks. soo many reasons why tanks have gotten the shaft for brutes time and again.

more options then tanks have..took over 4 years to get one new powerset for tanks and they had to share it with everyone

i can go from fury taken from tanks and given to brutes.

not having to live with scorch for 5 years

hell even burn on fire brutes had a better recharge then tanks at one point. so even when they shared powers brutes had better recharge for years.

poor things and here maybe ..just maybe we wont have 2 conserve powers and get a self heal?..gimmie a break.

That I can think of, besides the Stalker changes, Fire Melee for Scrappers and Brutes.
Anyhow if Elec Armor for Tankers/Scrappers get something actually useful instead of CP there will be hordes of Brutes and Stalkers screaming...

oh and if you check the tank section youll see that im not alone in dark tanks being meh but youll see more also happy with elec over dark..

dont you find the xp to slow down doing just bosses?...i tried a boss farm and honestly it took forever and really wasnt that great for xp.

course everyone is auto 50 on it and the team did kinda blow..but it seems with just my fire tank and p.ling everyone and letting them doorsit i have the faster flow of xp

to the ops..im more happy then last time.

see i really wanted elec melee and armor for tanks and we got that crappy dark/dark stuff instead..

now i got what i want and im totally happy and cant wait to build my new tank.

just got my en/nin stalker to 47 and im only at like 34% melee defense..i can pretty much soft cap him if i use bonus's but wondering if its worth it..ill be pvping with him mostly.

is it really worth the soft capping ?

you can go to the shard without the support if you have the right tank..shields cant cause of the tp power not working in the storm palace. which for some reason still doesnt work and which sucks i might add.

not sure why shield charge wont work there..but whatever

shard is for fire tanks anyways.i know mine is happy there and its a great place for full mobs without worrying about fillers or farming.
