If you're mainly going to be PvPing, don't bother with aiming for the soft cap. See the "soft cap under diminishing returns" thread - outside of Retsu it's not going to happen.
Go for extra offense and recharge instead.
Although for PvE, a softcapped /Nin is just insane.

yeah just saw that thread as well....thanks for the info.. 
just got my en/nin stalker to 47 and im only at like 34% melee defense..i can pretty much soft cap him if i use bonus's but wondering if its worth it..ill be pvping with him mostly.
is it really worth the soft capping ?
