[/ QUOTE ]Okay, this one makes less sense. Other than shooting someone in the face with a bigass Magnum revolver gangsta-style looking far more stylish than spraying 9mm Uzi rounds all over the place.
Actually, you CAN use Uzis on a Thugs MM for a weapon model, if you want. (LOL MM ATTACKS) You're still stuck using the Pistol attacks though; Empty Clips might look good enough though. -

What would be the point of having a custom mission creator if all you could do was newspaper-type missions? We already have newspapers for that. Gut the rewards, it's not like farmers bother to read mission descriptions anyway so they'll be content with their newspapers/TV mission/Behemoths.

The swiss-army-gun that is the Assault Rifle powerset does seem a bit past the 'ordinary gun' threshold, assuming you take more than two or three powers. <.<
Also, define powerless? Anyone can punch, but he certainly wouldn't punch nearly as effectively without having his fists wrapped in negative energy. -

Friend of mine has a Dark Melee/Ninjutsu Stalker that has these special bracelets that channel negative energy from the Netherworlds. His origin is Natural, though I would've picked Magic myself. He says he chose Natural because, all things considered, he's still just punching people in the face like any other ninja (well, any other ninja who prefers hand-to-hand combat to cutting people open with a katana), just with a bit of added damage from the bracelets, and the Ninjitsu powers are purely from ninja-training. To sum up, the natural/other line is very blurry and entirely subjective. -
I'm pretty sure you get to change it every 10 levels past 15 and then indefinitely at 50, faction-specific titles open at 15, origin-specific ones at 25.

Note: I'm not 100% sure about the Stalker side but I'm fairly certain it's true.
It summons a pseudo-pet, giving it a 400% damage cap as opposed to the regular 800% for Brutes (unsure of Stalker cap).
Fury and reds affect it like any other attack.
I don't think base damage modifiers affect it as I believe both ATs share the same pet.
Note: It doesn't break Hide on a Stalker (although it does cause agro) - this means that if you use a Defense based set, you have a good chance of opening with LR and following with an Assassin's Strike, if whatever didn't get knocked down doesn't manage to hit you, then finish whatever is left standing with a Thunder Strike.
Otherwise LR+TS works just fine too, followed by Placate+AS if necessary. -

Add some good damage to that and we have a third tier blast with -regen. And Knockback, like you wanted. Everyone wins!
Not liking the idea of partial Fire damage much, even if it does make sense. Reason being, Plasma is apparently considered to do Energy damage in CoX, example being the Plasma attacks used by the Assault Bot. Also, Pulse Rifle seems to be either Energy or Energy/Smashing in terms of damage types.
A Pulse Rifle blast set would also be great for the MMs out there, because it'd give the devs more incentive to finally make more unlockable Pulse Rifle models. Did they ever fix the Rikti Rifle? (No, not the Rikti Blaster - two different models)

Eh, would be somewhat annoying for the devs because they'd need to make new sound effects for several powers. Tough and Integration come to mind as examples.

I'd prefer a pure Martial Arts secondary (adjusted for Blaster needs to some degree, of course) rather than a bow-and-MA secondary, so it could be used with Assault Rifle for a Natutral toon as well. You know, like a Council Adjutant.
I'm really liking the Pulse Rifle set though, except for the noticeable lack of a third, stronger single target blast. Granted, Elec Blast is the same, but it has Voltaic Sentinel instead.
Maybe swap out the Knockback beam for something? The main secondary effect of the set appears to be Disorient anyway. -

There already exists ALOT of "offensive" moves for melee'rs to use against ranged people.
-fly, -jump, TP foe etc.

Snares, Repel, -Jump, high-mag Knockback/Knockup powers, Nemesis Staff veteran power, etc.
