Rep
You mean an extra difficulty level of reputation?
If they do add another then the next/sixth one would have to have the same AV and level settings as Invincible/Relentless, just with extra large spawns (i.e. spawned as if the team had an extra player) - just like the 2nd and 4th difficulties have larger spawns.
If you want a 7th and 8th difficulty after that then it could have an extra +1 level over and above Invincible/Relentless, so you could get L54 mobs in missions - then you start getting deeper into purple patch where your powers do far less damage and miss more often and enemies do more damage and are harder to hit (mobs on mothership raid are mostly L54, for comparison).
Personally I wish they'd just change it so instead of reputation you could actually pick the levels of the mobs you want, whether bosses will spawn, whether AVs will spawn, and how big spawns will be - then everyone could tweak it exactly to suit their character (e.g. stalker or single-target blaster might want more bosses, brute or AE blaster might want tons of minions/lieuts, etc.).
Would definetly make my life badging alot quicker if they did that! But somehow i doubt they would give us a break like that! ... Tho we are gonna get to create our own missions/arcs hopefully soon so it may not be a bad wish Valkryst!

I agree with this, quite often I play on lvl 2 (both sides), I'm happy with the mob's level and the fact I get a boss instead of LTs, but I wish there where more minions to punch (I mostly solo).
I wish I could set a Carnie mission to only spawn Master Illusionists.

Sounds like farmers heaven.
L50s: Tanks: Cryofission - Ice/EM - Dr Celsius - Fire/Ice - Saint George - SD/SS | Controllers: Psichosis - Ill/Kin - Major Chaos - Ill/Stm | Scrappers - Neutron Crusader - DM/SR
Currently Levelling: Angelic Blade - BS/WP Scrapper | Seeds of Destruction - Plant/Kin Controller
I think they need to look at increasing the difficulty (optionally, of course) of the game that isn't "hurr lets make them another level higher".
Killing things much higher level than you is just tedious, but not always hard.

Yeah because slowing farmers down at getting the loot they're going to get anyway is more important than a QoL feature that could make the game more enjoyable for most of the playerbase...
If you think farmers aren't going to abuse player-generated content you're kidding yourself - is that a reason the Devs shouldn't add that? Or should you stop caring about how others play and focus on what would make the game more fun for you or for non-farmers? Also with customisable difficulty at least the farmers could farm on their lonesome without hassling players who aren't interested to fill for them.
Some archetypes/powersets are set up for single target, others for area attacks; some for weathering/controlling lots of weak mobs, others for taking on tougher small spawns. Some team-built characters struggle when they need/want to solo. Why not let them set up difficulty to match what they're built for?
Heck, if nothing else just let us add a boss to each spawn if we so choose - my stalker can one-shot minions/lieuts and I want more challenge than that - atm I'm being forced outdoors to find boss-heavy spawns as missions are a yawnsome walkover (and pretty poor xp/inf compared to outdoors). Ironically if he had more 1 boss + 1-2 minion spawns in missions (or, best of all, double-boss spawns) instead of 1-2 lieuts and 2-4 minions per spawn, on average he'd be getting less chances at salvage/recipe drops per spawn, not more.
I think that anpotehr rep level ould be interesting. But not in the way of more mobs or higher levels.
I am thinking more in the way of how ouroboros missions work. Randomizing specials like Villians getting free buffs or players gets debuffed or can't use inspirations etc.
That way, every mission will be a surprise what tricks the opponents have this time.

I agree with you!
The trouble is the devs see farming as an issue and as such are trying to stop/curb it.
The only way I see to stop farming is change the missions used for farming or change the powers that allow farmers to farm. I wouldn't want something like this to come into effect if it meant nerfs to Fulcrum Shift, the Fire Primary or any other power deemed too uber.
My personal choice for a difficulty change would be for more Elite Bosses. At the late levels Bosses are generally too easy, EB's would pose more of a challenge.

I really don't care what the farmers want to do - if they're players paying their subs then it is up to them if they have fun playing like that. The more stock they put on the auction houses, the more likely they will fill demand by the playerbase, and then the cheaper that stock will become - simple supply & demand. I would prefer everything on WW/BM get cheaper than everything be expensive - buyer's market instead of seller's market - because I just want to play the game, not make oodles of inf.
You're not confusing all farmers with inf-sellers are you? I hope (know) the Devs want to stop inf-sellers as they're the ones who really wreck economies in a bad way - once too many people buy inf from them you get crazy inflation of prices as people with bought inf (or gold/plat, as it is in other games) start paying silly prices for things to make sure they get them, and that inflates the whole market up so typical/average players can't afford anything. Sure, the inf-sellers do use farming to make their inf, and probably do use fire/kins or fire/psis to do it, but nerfing the tools they use is like the government banning everyone in the country from having any kind of sharp knives (bread knives, steak knives, etc), and only allowing blunt knives (like butter knives), because there are too many stabbings (then you'd get people being stabbed with forks, so they'd have to be "nerfed" next ).
I just don't want the Devs wrecking gameplay for the rest of us purely to stop inf-sellers/farmers. Seen it happen far too many times in MMOs - everyone suffering restrictions/nerfs because just a few people abuse the EULA. Not here please. So I hope the Devs find ways to stop the inf-sellers without nerfing the things they use to ply their trade - like fire/kin controllers or fire/psi doms, or certain missions - because the farmers would just move on to other sets/ATs that do the job next-best and other maps/missions that are next most profitable - then you'd have to nerf them too - and it just becomes ridiculous.
not sure if this has been said before but..
could we get the rep bar moved up a lvl.?
alot of the people i know find that the max rep isnt really giving the excitment it used to. - i know IO' changed that. but i think a 6th rep bar would be kool. not sure what the added rep would give the enemies. maybe thts what u lot could decide?
maybe all enemy heals? extra damage? what u lot think
