    i13 new Feature

    It suddenly occured to me that this change will probably result in my MM being able to solo much fewer AVs/Heroes than I could before. Mynx kills a Bruiser in one hit with some of her attacks, not even worth mentioning the lower-tier pets. And ToHit debuffs with Defense buffs only do so much. ARCH-A getting a lucky hit roll with Fireball would pretty much destroy me in i13. And so on, these are just examples. Bleh.

    Still wish they'd keep the old option somehow, either with some fancy code that makes them only affect non-upgraded pets in range and cost endurance accordingly (probably not possible) or giving us the old single-target versions as well, two powers for the price of one. Heck, Kheldians get five for the price of one with forms so it's not unheard of.

    I just felt like whining about this again after defeating Mynx last night.
  2. I have it in Call Thugs. I've run 3 missions in a row with a Punk's combat attributes open with no change to damage or ToHit numbers. Is this proc broken or something?

    Thermal is one of those support sets that have a bunch of buffs and a single target heal in them, which means half of the powerset is useless to you when soloing.

    Unless you're level 47+ and have a patron pet.
  5. Psst... Beanbag synergizes with Taser from Devices, letting you stun Bosses... More set synergy!

    Also, Sonic Attack has a stun.

    Rad and Scourge ought to help even it out. Speaking from gut feeling, not experience.

    Scourging several mobs at a time with Full Auto sounds fun if only for a screenful of both numbers AND text.

    I think with the Medic some sort of "Buff me" or "Go into Buff Mode" *might* be a nice solution, so he'd never fire, he'd stick to slapping out Heals and Buffs until you told him to stop. Or "Heal & buff me" and "Heal and buff my Target" commands.

    Why not suggest a pet AI overhaul instead of nerfing my poor Bruiser?

    [/ QUOTE ]No. Hurl is awesome. It's just slightly less awesome when he starts spamming it with closing in, but that's why the GoTo command is there. Micromanage your pets, you're less effective if you don't in general anyway - positioning the Enforcers for cones, the Arsonist for Fire Breath, etc.

    Don't touch my pulling/-Fly tool with good damage that can proc the FF +recharge.

  17. No, you can not disable specific attacks for pets, the code won't allow it.

    Now, on a slightly less related note, if we could put together a petition to give the Arsonist the same treatment the Medic from Mercenaries got (1st upgrade removes Brawl ability)...

  22. It's complicated, yet retarded pet AI. Funnily enough the Arsonist seems to loooooove going into melee despite your best wishes, too.

    Give him the upgrade though, by all means, it gives him Knockout Blow for crying out loud. Suck it up and /bind InsertComfortableKeyHere petcom_name Bruiser goto.

    Also, I heard a rumor that slotting the Force Feedback proc into a pet will encourage it to melee more. Not sure if I understood it correctly though.

  24. 1) Nobody wants to see that - hairy chests went out of style a few decades ago.

    2) For comedic purposes (and hairy chests are comical) Monstrous Fur works well enough. Austin Powers material there.
