At the risk of sounding like a Monty Python skit I remember the days of debt at lvl 10, being terrified of reds and purples, taking ages to get back to missions because I didn't have the travel pack from the Safeguards etc.

It was a much more challenging game and therefore much more satisfying to get to 50!!

I've always been in awe of anyone who can do a truly awesome cossie because, well, I'm bloody awful at it

I think I've managed 1, maybe 2 decent cossies in my entire time playing this game

Psygon has always been one of, if not THE best cossie makers in the game that I know. Some of the Femme's are also excellent, Pyra (come back P!!) was aw4esome at them, Snowie does some crakcers as well

Anf Fire Guardian was brilliant at them, but in a sort of negative-revers-bloody awful cossie way as well

Damz dude, have you got the option to recieve mails from NC Soft in your account profile? Go to the NC Soft Account log in page , log in to your account, go the Account Profile and check in the Update Contact Information page, there should be a check box right at the bottom you need to check

Just checked the mails more thoroughly.

TBoth of the mails I have are from the EU.

The one with the buddy code is to my active main account

The one without the buddy code is to my inactive second account!!

Still can't understand why they wouldn't want to send the buddy code to an inactive account though. Better would have been to send it saying if you reactivate for a month and your friend starts to subscribe, we'll give you free time!

Sure as hell wish I'd read the mail properly though, I feel like a n00b of Damz proportions

So, i just got home from work to find 2 mails from NC Soft.

One is from the EU department, natch, the other is from the US department, due to me once having a US account that I used to get the passport badge (yes, I really am just that much of a badge whor......collector )

Both mails tell about the Winter Event being on and both have a special offer included and here's where it gets interesting.

The US one has a fantastic offer of a Buddy Code to give to a friend with 30 days free play and the game for free downlaod so all the friend has to do is subscribe! Marvellous offer!!

The EU offer is a month free if you use their 6 month subscription, ie subscribe for 6 months, get 1 month free.

Now, the EU offer is pretty good, who doesn't like free stoof

But, given how much people are talking about the dwindling player base in the EU and less people around playing as they are all gone to the americans!!....surely having the buddy code for the EU offer would have been a better idea??

I personally have a couple of friend who might have tried this and perhaps even have subscribed afterwards! They've actually seen me play it and been intrigued. This would have been a perfect way to really get them hooked!

It just seems to be such a missed opportunity to help get the player base back up again, especially wiht all the Mac users joining us!

Anyone else have an opinion? (Heh, who am I kidding, this is the forums, of course someone does )

Anyway, agree that the prestige amount isn't hard, as tufty says, I did Posi last night on an 8 man team and got more than enough for that toon to pass the month with

I'd actually like it if we could enter other SG's bases!!

I'm not talking about doing anything in there, like using TP's and medical stuff, being able to take salvage, etc, but sometimes you go in a different SG's base and it's stunning!

Maybe let the SG leaders decide if they want it to be open to the other heroes, so to speak? They could even set restrictions, perhaps? Have the ability to kick someone from the base if they start squatting?

Seriously though, I'd love the be able to see the creativity that some people have with their bases

Bad as the first one may be, at least heroes have the Shadow Shards TF's from 40 onwards to have something other than standard missions to do.

I'm glad to hear you're getting some help. I know that a lot more people than is known suffer from what you are going through, it's not something a lot of people like to admit to and that's often the hardest part to get past.

Take solace in the fact that you've taken the first step and get that help, you'll be amazed at how much it can help, and remember that your friends are there if you need them.
