    Is "Gratz" dead?

    To the OP:

I've recognized the same thing. I usually only see it from veterans, honestly. And its becomin' less and less frequent.

I could go into the flagrant and numerous reasons why I think it has devolved into thus, but it would probably deteriorate into a rant and detract from the thread.

But, again, yes, I do this this is nearly the case.

This could be more or less true, as it was mentioned either in the subsequent UStream casts or the Player Summit threads that they wish to make the decision between defense and resistance more... viable, and this was based on the data-mined meta-game for generally buildin' for soft-capped defense, which is probably positional or smashing/lethal.

You'll probably either see the exotic damage types become more prevalent, say Toxic like the Rikti Pylons in the Apex TF to work against the smashing/lethal defense types, or the Hamidon method with untyped damage, or the Keyes Trial Anti-Matter pulse route with a straight percentage off the top.

I am all for having more costume options for guys.

However, when I look at my closet, I see that Mrs. Moo's section is about 4-5 times as large as mine. I also realize that the vast majority of those clothes, shoes, and accessories have been paid for, at least in terms of cash, by me.

I'm COMPLETELY okay with that. It's a GOOD THING! In my mind, women are vastly more attractive than men. They need more clothes to accentuate that attractiveness. I like buying clothes for her.

You may not share my opinions or tastes. However, I'm a VIP subscriber, and I will also pay for attractive costumes for my female COH characters. My male characters receive far less attention than my female characters when it comes to costumes. When I make the decision on whether or not to purchase a costume item or pack, I'm not nearly as concerned about the male models as I am the female models.

COH Artists and Developers: Please include VASTLY MORE costume pieces for female models than you do male models. More accessories, shoes, boots, and costume items. The more attractive, the better. Scanty is quite alright. Sheer and lacy items are wonderful. Cutouts are awesome. Shiny is fantastic.

Because I like Cheesecake, and I'm willing to pay for it!

  4. I ran into this bug last night, and noticed that it wasn't listed on the Known Issues thread, so if it could be added that would be great.

The Cross-Faction Co-op Zone bug; I was on a Rogue, and decided to join a Dr. Kahn. The missions are mostly via the train, and most heroes take Ouroboros to exit the first appearance of Reichsman in the Troop Portal mission, and then get to PI for the last few. I didn't make that mistake to use the Villain Ouroboros, but to get from FF to PI, I decided to go through RWZ. When I zoned into RWZ, I was no longer on the team, and left'em with DPS issues for the last fight with Reichsman due to it.

I've also had this happen on Statesman TFs while playin' Rogues.

Again, please add this to the Known Issues list as it has persevered for at least a issue and a half.

    Thank you.

    I don't think it's a good idea, personally, for reasons that aren't game/AT balance-related.
    Thanks for the info, UG.

That might be because you made a sweepin' generalization about everyone softcappin' defense, then applied that to specific individuals that you probably know nothin' about, to which you admitted to afterwards about your perceptions based on what you see in game, on your server(s).

I actually had a snarky reply in the works in an earlier post about bein' painted with a brush which simply wasn't true, but I instead decided to only reply with an example o' how, without softcap, I was able to customize my character and get the results I specifically wanted with the Invention System.

I would second this as it is a personal peeve o' mine to run out o' end. So many o' my characters are built to be able to fight continuously. That's the power o' the Invention System, and customization therein. The things that bother me personally I can overcome.

For my Ice/Nrg Blaster's Hami Build, I slotted for Lockdowns w/ chance for Hold in my two holds, and then Devastations with the chance for Hold to help with greens while still bein' able to deal solid single target for the blues. Without the Invention system IOs, I wouldn't have been able to do that in the very specific way that I wanted. This allowed me and a group o' friends to do a 16 man Hami Raid last year.

Which had nothin' to do with softcapped defenses.
  11. To the OP:

    In my personal opinion; No.

This game hangs it's hat on customization. Invention Origins and their subsequent set bonuses allow me to have my character perform the way I wish it to.

Could I have my name in blue instead?

The art style of the Big Guys is worthy of copying for players (and would make a good addition to the Rulushin if that faction were ever to be leveraged... Darren Wade SF anyone?).
I didn't want to bloat the thread with quotin' the images, but those are pretty nice, and I've done similar work in the costume creator.

I believe @Mr Squid made a AErc about Rularuu that got the costume pretty close also.

Also, what about if this was on the market, like the Vanguard pack, where you could have the costumes and weapons globally without needing the badge(s)
This would be excellent, and as I'm a sucker for the Rularuu lore and pieces, I would most certainly take advantage o' this if it were to occur.

Also, we should also include weapon models for staffs, titan weapon, beam rifle, pistols (unless those are in there already)
I can't speak for Staves, Beam Rifles, or Pistols (all o' which I'd love to see), but in regards to Titan Weapons, I inquired about this in a UStream some time ago, and I was told that a Rularuu skin had been concepted, but wasn't told anythin' beyond that. I do have a level 50 TW/WP brute on Beta with the Visionary badge that I log onto every once in a while to check the status on, and as of late last week, no option for it yet.

Zwill has noted in the various UStreams (or at least in the transcripts from Von Krieger) since then that it has been a highly requested item. It has been mentioned time and time again in the various Sexy Jay threads for Rularuu pieces. This is the part that concerns me, and this has been noted previous by other players, that while things are posted here on the forums, be they suggestions or in-game submissions, there have been occasions where the devs themselves are completely unaware o' the status o' said suggestions or requests, despite bein' told that such matters have been passed along, as noted by NS bein' surprised by the amount o' interest there might be in such an item or set o' items.

Pardon the rant, but I simple don't feel like I'm wastin' my metaphorical breath again.

Edit: I thought I saw some o' the aforementioned Concept Art elsewhere recently from the Player Pummit, but I could be wrong. At least it looked like it could've been a Rularuu skin.

    Edit 2: It was here.

This is the requirement for the weapon skins currently that have an option for a Rularuu version, so I wouldn't see why yet another requirement would be required, particularly since we're only talkin' about three additional pieces. If there was more offered, then sure, maybe I could see the TF badges as unlocks, but not just for three.

You heard it here first, folks. Mounts in i22!
  21. I made a similar suggestion here in the future sets thread about a entire powerset dedicated to it.

I spent more time thinkin' about it, and as mentioned previously, there's the doppleganger tech in the new Posi TF, in various Tip missions as your automaton, clone facility storyarcs, Statesman TF with Dr. Aeon's summoned versions, minorly in Judgement Vorpal, Trapdoor's Bifurcation technique, Neuron's Army o' Neu, etc., and I think there's a very good chance its the tier nine.
  22. I don't even like MMs, but I think a game that has hung it's hat on character and power customization options should have done this a long time ago.

    The end.
  24. To the OP: a few. I have one, and I know two others, and seen a few more.

I personally enjoyed my Elec/Elec, more for conceptual reasons, but it certainly made playin' my Elec/Storm controller easier.

    d) No word that *I* recall that the ghosts themselves will be gone (and I was at both panels involving Lore/endgame/etc).
    e) Yes, the fog will be removed, as John Hegner noted, "Mot apparently needed a humidifier while asleep, and now that he is awake, it's not necessary." Dunno if this means the Echo will have its fog removed as well.
    f) The new higher level BP and Tsoo will be getting a revamp - the lower level batch we are used to are the same (I meant to ask if the Circle in DA would still be there, but got distracted by other stuff - sorry!).
    g) They are indeed drawing on the lore to try and pull its storyline together (striving for consistency was something Hegner and I discussed after the panel).
    h) They are not adding new currencies again any time soon (this was asked in the endgame panel - they are aware that players are getting frustrated, so more effort is going into how to balance the game economy when new stuff is added without adding a new currency for it).
    i) Any mission/TF (ie Citadel's) that would send you into DA is being reworked.
    j) Adamastor himself is not quite getting a makeover... but in terms of scale vs the upcoming content in DA 2.0, he's roughly a "Lieutenant". Make of that what you will.
