Okay, so the newspaper gave me three missions to pick from, something against the CoT, a defeat boss, and a steal some thing. I clicked on the defeat boss but it didn't do anything, so I clicked again. Then my nav bar said "Kidnap so and so" and apparently the enemy group was the CoT, who I didn't want to fight. So I dropped it. But now I have TWO other kidnaps in my missions list! One is against the Lost and the other just says "Unable to obtain task detail information"
I had zero missions when I logged on. Both of my current missions are random newspaper missions...and of course my mission drop is used up. I'm bugging it now, but can any one explain what happened here?
Edit: I just tried to enter the one that said "Unable to obtain task detail information" and it just disappeared. But I still ended up with a mission I never selected, and some how seemed to get at the same time as another newspaper mission. -

Quote:Well, yes. I don't think I've been on any teams that last more than a couple missions, except if everyone is level 50, where there aren't multiple level-ups. It can be quite irritating, say in the middle of a big fight when the guy who dings is right in your face and you've got fireballs and grenades and ice storms and what have you parading all around you.You really think it's that bright and overpowering over a long enough period and happens often enough to be a nuisance?
I'm certainly not saying it annoys everyone, or that it's always annoying...but it sure can be. And honestly, as poor as my computer is, I'm certain there are players with worse computers (I had a guy ask me to not bubble him because it made his computer run slower. What the heck would a level-pacted ding in his face do?!). So, for those people especially, I imagine this would be a very welcome option. -

Not everyone has a decent computer or internet, and the level-up explosion can add a lot to process on top of everything else. Not to mention, it would be a nice option to have so people can avoid being blinded in the middle of combat. It can be hard to tell what's going on with a huge burst of light in addition to the dozens of other power graphics going all at once.
Also, the SOUND. It drowns out a lot of other sound effects, and I doubt I'm the only one who occasionally has looping sound - This wouldn't fix that but it would make it one less sound we can have loop.
It should be simple to do, add an option like "Suppress Level Up Graphics" and have it default to "No" -
Out of curiosity, why did you take Power Build Up? I use it on mine but she has vengeance (62% defense is amazing).
An alternate build would be to take the /Dark pool. You can stack Oppressive Gloom with Dark Pit to stun minions and lieutenants, and you get a nice self damage buff plus a resurrect for when things go sour...and an endurance filling power. -
...I don't think it's really that complicated. You add enhancement slots every other level, it's kind of obvious what the slots are for, isn't it? The only confusing part is knowing where to to get the enhancements, but that's easily solved by just asking people...

You didn't answer the most important question: Will you help us with our math homework?

Selling bootleg merchandise is da bomb! So is violating the Intellectual Property rights of NCsoft Interactive! See you in court, dawg! -

Maybe to you...I'm the kind of player who will rush in at 10% life on a blaster if the tanker is taking too long ("What do you mean pull, it's just nine Warhulks...watch me explode in their faces!"). I was already irritated at Freakshow (although they were still fun!) just because they DO resurrect...meaning I have to wait after each mob to make sure I get them. Now I have to wait LONGER!
It's so darned irritating. >_< It just drives me crazy -
Really, do they ever? Between this, the total nerfing of arcs with allies, and the BoTZ change I'm finding it hard to believe the devs think about the impact of their changes before making them.

Quote:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jquXcwooV6AOK, I keep seeing the term "Parkour" being suggested as a travel power.
I think I am getting the general idea of what it might be, but can someone definitely tell me what exactly it is and where it came from? I mean, the other travel powers are pretty straightforward - fly, jump, teleport, superspeed (run really really fast). But Parkour means nothing to me when I think of ways to move around. -
Some people enjoy the ITF. But the cut scene still gets VERY boring when you've seen it dozens of times, so that part is dull.
-
I forgot to mention, I think a better solution would have been to make it so they can attack sooner after resurrecting. Less wait with out making them easier targets.
-
If you didn't know, the latest AE nerf came with another change: You can't target enemies while they're resurrecting (and I believe players are untargetable while being resurrected as well).
To be blunt, I hate this change. I was on a mission against Freakshow, and we were pretty much obliterating them. Freakshow used to be fun to fight. Now you wipe out a spawn, and an enemy resurrects, and...you get to sit there. And wait. Hitting tab a hundred times until it finally lets you target him.
It doesn't make the game harder, it makes it tedious. Okay, so now I can't get a couple of free hits on the guy before he can fight back. Big deal. On a full team even a +2 Freakshow boss will barely get off two attacks before he's taken down. All this accomplished was making it so now you have to just WAIT. It's freaking annoying.
I saw some speculation that they added this because of an AE farm where the enemies would resurrect themselves. I really hope that isn't the reason. I've done that farm a couple times and I can't see this slowing down the XP gain by any meaningful amount, or even raising the risk. A couple seconds where you're not doing damage? Is that REALLY going to matter?
I admit I haven't been playing very long but this is the only change to the game that actually irritated me. I'm getting sick of Freakshow and they used to be one of my favorite groups to fight. ;_; -
I like rep because it gives you a way to compliment some one's post or let them know they're being an giant turd with out disrupting the thread.

It's pretty annoying to have to scroll past 60 lines of spam to see what I missed from my global channels.

I see. o.o Fortunately it kind of solved itself so I didn't need to involve a GM. I was just curious about it. Thanks for the answer.

I just ran a Citadel and came across a weird glitch. The mission order is supposed to be:
Investigate Base
Defeat all Soldiers in base
Defeat base leader and guards
Take parts to Fareed Abdullah
After finishing the third mission, it automatically set a new mission, "Defeat base leader and guards" in the same spot. This was my first time leading a Citadel so I just figured it automatically set certain missions. So we ran that mission, and upon completion it set the same thing...in the same spot. Each time it was brand new, different map, full of enemies, just the same mission in the same spot.
The FOURTH time it gave us that mission, I called Citadel and the mission disappeared, giving us "Take parts to Fareed Abdullah." The rest of the TF seemed to be normal.
Is this a known glitch? Any idea what causes it? -
Any mission that sends me to Mercy Island from any zone except Mercy Island
90% of the VEAT arc (especially the one that sends me from Cap to Mercy right after it sent me to Port from Cap, which is the FIRST mission you get in Cap after leaving Port...ugh)
Basically anything that requires me to switch zones for no good reason. -
Well if it makes you feel any better, I think it's a neat idea.

Quote:Actually, I'm trying to. I have each memorization badge on three different characters and I spend 90% of my game time crafting recipes to list for 100k inf. If I keep this up people will stop paying 400k+ for them and no one will be able to profit off of them!Believe me, Knightie, nobody is trying to edge you out of the worthless generic IO market via undercutting.
Mwahahaha
