It was something about being on an AE farm and after a few tries at what seemed to be a bugged mission, the people on his team didn't reinvite him once they disbanded.
They went into the mission without him and ignored his tells.
He then went on to rant about how he was on the same team with another MA powerleved alt for the past few days and he tried to explain to them who he is, but was still ignored.
Then more of his rage set in, so I clicked back before reading the rest of his post.
Them's the basics.

I'm guessing the rant consumed less energy than forming a new team? -

Most of the time, "SG Calling" is a sign of a player who does not like the team they're on and doesn't want to say so.
In other words, it's usually BS.
I happen to agree with you. I'd rather someone say "You all suck, I'm out" than "SG is calling"
Sure, it's less polite, but at least it's honest.
[/ QUOTE ]
I prefer something like that. Or "Sorry, not feeling this team." But a simple "Gotta Go" is sufficient. I just dont like trying to figure out if someone DC'd or quit.
I use the "baby is up" excuse a lot. Of course, it really is true, lol, but sometimes I get the feeling others think I'm BSing then, 'cause I know I've heard that one a lot in the past. -

City of Heroes is a game. The purpose of a game is to have fun. If you are not having fun change what you are doing.
City of Heroes is about you. Be greedy. Think about yourself first. There is absolutely no one in the world, not the developers, not your best friend, not your siblings and not even your mom, who knows when you are having fun as much as you do. You are best suited to the task of making sure you have fun. You. You you you you you.
I feel absolutely no guilt nor shame when I leave a team with no warning. I honestly feel no anger, hostility nor resentment when someone leaves one of my teams without warning. Please leave my team if you are not having fun. I'm fairly disgusted when others feel otherwise.
I understand no one is perfect and you can't know everything before hand. I understand things will change. But do your best to communicate what you expect from teammates and what you intend to bring to teams. Eliminate as much "un-fun-itude" as possible before it occurs. Stop "un-fun-itude" as soon as possible.
(I should add that when I'm on a Task Force and not having fun I'll ask to leave. If I'm requested to stay because I am considered crucial to the team's success I will stay. Though, if I no longer am crucial I will leave. I have left TFs before they're fully complete after all the "hard parts" were defeated.)

Smurphy, I've teamed with you before in RO/Freedom (at least 2 years ago), and I found you to be friendly, generous and good fun to team with :P I'd never have characterized like you did above. -

I was playing nice earlier. Here's the deal. I don't like teaming. So when I do it is for a specific reason. If I feel the team will not help me accomplish whatever goal I'm going for, then I will quit. I won't give notice or anything. I'll just quit the team. I personally don't care if it is a PuG radio team or a task force. If I don't think the team directly benefits me in the way I want, then I'll just leave.
Do you know why I will do it that way?
Simple, because I see teams as nothing more than fillers to use as I see fit. When they are no longer useful, I leave. That simple. If the leader has a problem and demands an answer, I'll let him/her know. But I won't be nice about it. I will be extremely blunt and critical.
But Munki, why be so mean? Simple, because I play this game so I can have fun. As long as I'm not breaking any rules, I don't give a crap about anybody else. If somebody's day is worse off because they ran across me, I don't care. I see all of yall as nothing more than fillers on the way to accomplish my goals.
edit: The people that feel they deserve some sort of explanation are self obsessed losers. That simple.

You display some remarkably sociopathic viewpoints. And I'm not being trite. -
Another vote for Dark/
Nice cone AoE, some controls, debuffs, self-heal...
A little slow to build up, but once in mid 20s, starts to roll along nicely. -
I think this is the first time since Issue 3 I've ever heard anyone put Dark Miasma down. Srsly, Dark Miasma is the shiz.

This thread needs a warning: Overload of Awesomeness may cause Scrapperlock and/or catatonia.

How is it I see Jeff Speakman but no Cynthia Rothrock?
[/ QUOTE ]
Cynthia totally rocks. Hard. No wires, just solid action. I agree. -
Also:
Riddick - Chronicles of Riddick. One step, one kill sequence on Crematoria.
Alucard - Hellsing original video anime. Any scene. With glove, gun, or powers, he kicks [censored]. Heck, he doesn't even have to fight to show how scrappy he is.
Mystique - X-2. Her Alkalide Base invasion sequence was super slick.
Night Crawler - X-2. The White House fight scene. Who didn't want combat teleport implemented after that? -

If you've seen Brotherhood of the Wolf, the part at the end when De Fronsac raids the cult hideout is flat out mean. He is fighting with anger and attitude. Dani vs the crowd was great too. All in all a fine movie.
The Jet Li against the school from Fist of Legend was great too.
Edit : while I was looking on youtube I see the classroom scene was mentioned, excellent taste
[/ QUOTE ]
Brotherhood of the Wolf.. great call, wonderful movie, Gregoire de Fronsac was the man. -
Jet Li - Fist of Legend. Classroom scene.
Stephen Chow - Kung Fu Hustle. Final fight at Pig Sty Alley.
Michele Yeogh - Wing Chun. Fight Scene vs. Flying Monkey's minions.
Bruce Lee - Enter the Dragon. The whole damn thing. -
Both. They are each terrific.
If you must pick, decide if you like magical cloaks and emotes, or robot/cyborg costumes more.
For pure poweer-gaming, Magic, for mystic fortune, as detailed above. Very useful. -
Unless you are running on a dinosaur, very minimal and likely, unnoticable impact, as a guestimate.
-
Like the OP, I am biterly disappointed I cannot have plaid force fields. My concept for the Highland Bubbler is now fail.
-
At least there is no hysteria or hyperbole in this thread.
-
I'd like to say Bravo and Well done on the two emotes: calculate and experiment. These are both awesome and /tell provoking. I was in AE and did a /calculate and had at least twenty tells asking me about it, saying how cool it was, and the like. The floating formulae are terrific!

Anything paired with Dark Melee is promising. DM is a primary and a secondary in one.
My grandma/Dark Melee for example.
[/ QUOTE ]
QFT. Dark Melee (and heck, Dark Miasma) are like chocolate. They go well with everything, and anything goes well with them. Even grandmas. -
Earth Assault for Doms
Elec Melee for Scrappers
Both make me pine for I16. Please come. I love you baby. -

Electric Armor for tanks makes me wonder what the resist will look like
[/ QUOTE ]
With Tough and 3 level 50 IOs, about:
80% S/L
Well over cap on NRG
42% NegNRG
55% Fire/Cold/Psi
The numbers look very good on tankers. Paired with Dark for the self heal it seems promising. -

iam a 24 vet player, and now my 50s have nothing to do. i go to PI and no one there, then to RWZ and nothing. finally i step into Atlas Park and everyone is there doing boring farms. Game should be renamed to "City of Atlas Park AE". Since most players are in one building trying to Power Level.
Even if i try to stay away from AE, i still can't find or get enough people to do regular missions... Gonna have to move on to another game looks like...

Giving the answers you won't likely read:
- join an SG
- join your global chats
- form your own teams
- use the server forums (below) to organize events
I play on Justice as well as Freedom, and in both servers there is plenty of:
- /broadcasts for 'regular mish teams'
- Task Forces/Strike Forces
- GM monster teams assembling
- Regular AE non-farm /broadcasts
And the like. If your server stinks, join or transfer to Justice/Freedom. I'm on freakin' late in the night (12 midnight to 3am eastern time) ,and I can still get teams to do non-AE stuff. And if all else fails, join a good active SG, there are plenty out there. Mine does all sorts of crap not related to AE farms. Good luck. -

most epic powers life the confuse bubble ot stun feilds are only good if u have another atk or feild that dose the same
[/ QUOTE ]
Wrong, its also great for stacking with other sources of mez when on teams. Example the fear mag is low on Dark Armors Cloak of Fear. But when stacked with things like Spectral Terror, it adds up nicely.
OG only doesn't stack with OG, it stacks fine with other stun powers.

ok sorry i didnt leave room for you to figer it out on thier own that 2 ppl with holds..confuse wouold have this same effect

I have no idea what this was intended to say -
Five stars. This should be required reading. Or at least broadcat in AP from the steps of City Hall by the newspaper crier
-
My .02. IMO, there are not a lot of 'huge' gaps among powersets, but some do stand out:
Mercenaries - controls need to be more reliable and more frequent. Medic needs to have more range on his powers to avoid the suicide run.
Martial arts - the secondary effects try to do too much and do not compliment each other. Cobra Strike needs to be swapped with Crippling Axe Kick so that an earlier attack chain is viable without dipping into pools. -

After five years I'm the only one I know of from Phoenix Prime on these days - not sure if LHF was in Prime, the roster was huge at one point, and I was never good at memorizing everyone.
[/ QUOTE ]
I was an officer, actually. I was the one responsible for keeping most of the nastiness of our message board toward the end, moderating it to try to keep as much of the conflict that was tearing the SG apart to a minimum. Unfortunately it didn't matter what I did, largely because I was too late, and secondly because even when I could keep the board clean the in-fighting between certain members simply spilled over into PMs and in-game fighting in the SG channel. That entire event is a good lesson as to what can happen when an SG leader publically takes sides in a personal conflict.
It wasn't a nice time. I regret a lot of what happened at that point, mostly because I didn't handle it well.
[/ QUOTE ]
Sorry for my lack of memory LHF, I was on late when mostly Haven and Tech Ranger or Cap were on, or on an inactive account. PP broke up during one of my absences. As you indicate, the last year was marked by some crappy dynamics.
What reformed as -Corporation- was fun for the year it lasted on Freedom/Red, mostly because I think a lot of folks who had differences were no longer under the same tent.
PS, not sure if it would ring a bell, but I was Night Fist, one of the founding members from Beta. But with my on-again off-again playstyle, there were just loads of folks I never got to meet (also factor in time zones, and the factions that developed where some folks just wouldn't talk to others not in their clique). *waves*
