Quote:Thanks for the helpSo does global recharge lower the recharge time on MM pet summons?

Quote:Zephy can also be purchased with 240 merits(did this last night!)Pre-IO the only characters who ever took Acro were Fire tankers and Dark Armor scrappers... melee sets what lack any KB protection. Since issue 9 most players find a slot or two for a Karma or Steadfast KB IO... or, if you've the inf, you can get the Zephyr universal travel KB IO that fits in any travel power.

Quote:It should be the other way around as in caveats to a power should be known far before you get it especially when you have to pay to get it.I don't see where the devs ever promised the booster pack powers would be available in all content, so yes, you are acting a little too entitled. Especially by continuing on this track after it's already been confirmed to be a bug (and yes, the devs are aware of the bug, and they are, I believe, working on it).

I did the same except i had to jump back and forth between a contact and the WL this was way back when on nrg/dev cam so close to dying soooooo many times
-
A few minutes ago was the first time I entered a mish ans had my pets be unresponsive normaly that only happens outside of missions

So does global recharge lower the recharge time on MM pet summons?
-
Quote:I think something similar was happening to me when I was tanking bob cat eventually I just gave upBit of speculation, I guess.. no thorough testing to verify it - tried to look more into this issue, but couldn't find any further info.
Here's an example of the problem as I see it.
Doing an ITF, I have 955 HP. A Minotaur hits me with his Whirling Axe, the pets absorb some of the first hit, doing 300 DMG. Next hit does 900 DMG and kills me. All of my pets were still alive, and this happened back-to-back, so positioning was the same. Same skill, and a lvl difference of say 1 or 2 wouldn't make up for that large of a difference in damage. While the numbers aren't accurate, that's an example of what I have seen - one hit gets split, which would have been a one-hit-protection hit, the second kills me, even though I have most of my life, and my pets are alive.
I've also been noticing similar behavior elsewhere - it seems like, basically, if you take a hit that would kill you, it does it, without having a chance to be split between pets.
That's a large part of the survival of a MM, or can be, and essentially cuts their health down BIG TIME when confronted with possible large numbers.
Can anyone confirm this to be true or false? -
Quote:Thanks for the reply just wanted to be sureSet bonuses affect any power you have that isn't specifically set to ignore that type of bonus. I believe they are technically always-on self buffs... they boost your base values rather than individual powers, just like buffs from powers do. And yes, they affect temp powers as long as the temp isn't set to ignore that specific buff. For instance, global +accuracy helps you hit more often with veteran attacks but global +damage doesn't make them hit harder because their damage is set to ignore buffs.
-
With regards to acc and dmg bonuses:
*Are they "slotted" into powers that accept that enhancement type and then coded to bypass ED?
*Do they instead effect your base attributes and are then "added" to any power you use?
*Do they effect temp powers that ARE effected by buffs?
I checked paragon wiki and did not find information that cleared up these mechanics questions -
the only consideration here is wheter or not you would want to take the soul mastery ppp for theme or min/max reasons that ppp has a rather potent -dmg power and it's not available to scrappers
-
Kepping pets alive is a pita for most mms and pet deaths hamper dps quite a bit; my focus is keeping pets alive so I'm thinking:
=musc for moar damage
-void
-reactive for more outgoing damage and paralytic for less incoming damage
-barrier (alternate with void)
-clock or war -
-
Known issue apparently AOE attacks and buff(?) count the most towards participation while pets and psudo don't count at all
-
*Keep in mind the -res only stacks up to 10% max which is accomplished through 4 ticks so it doesn't really improve in team situations
**The dot stacks up to 6 ticks
***-Res is also heavly resisted by AVs like 90% iirc so it's not very useful in those circumstances -
oooh I'll have to do that one on my bot's traps
-
/sign i think nearly all sets should have a 7th or 8th option
-
Does tripmine benfit from any tohit or global acc bonuses; does that and/or caltrops benefit from the +dmg bonuses from sets? Do those powers and poison gas count as participation in the new trials?
-
Imo every theme packs should add a costume slot to all characters on an account ideally all costume veteran rewards should add a slot too

I want to be able to make proper mobs. Y'know, ones with Brawl, some armour and a mix of ranged/melee attacks.
I'd like to make MM AVs that aren't pitifully easy because the pets die in seconds, they have no armour and no decent personal attacks (and STILL don't have god damn traps!)
I'd like to make AVs that can use a ranged weapon AND martial arts moves, without having to sacrifice their entire defense and resistance option. Malestrom can do it, why can't we?
The idea mainly came from my frustrations in making credible, theme appropriate MM AVs(I gave up) the task simply proved to be above what's avaiables under the current setup but the kind of freedom we would get if the powerset count we could pull from was unlimited would allow for some very interesting combat options. -
Quote:Not impossible but tough enough that some actually tactical thinking is necessary sort of like Romulous 2.0. The kind of AVs that will beat the team on the first try rather than be rolled over immediately and forgotten./unsigned.
People have trouble making balanced enemies with *two* powersets. Giving them no limits? Ugh. "Here's my shield/willpower illusion controller mastermind with radiation!"
Just... no.
and this right here should just scream out "This is a bad idea." You're not "out to get" the players, unless you're also out to get few plays and a low rating. Work instead on making an enjoyable arc that makes people want to play it. That doesn't mean it can't have tough enemies, but "I want to make this impossible!" is not exactly a noble goal. -
I looked briefly for a suggestions forum but did not find it so I'll post this here.
I'd like to see a removal of the two powerset limit we currently have on AE creations I want to be able to create far more interesting(sadistic) AVs who can really give teams a challenge by being free to pick and choose their powers from all available sets up to the current maximum powers limit.
For example take from Invul and/or Shields and/or Will Power etc as you see fit, combine with MM pets as you see fit, with all buffs and debuffs that you see fit, and add any melee and/or ranged attacks that you well you know... within whatever is the current maximum amount of powers a custom critter can have or hell expand that limit if feasible.
I know I want to make an AV or Hero that would cause whole team to curse in frustration Footstomp + Dragontail + that Seismic power? Yes please! Ability to choose attack order and have our creations get ranked by things like survivability, AOE dps, ST dps and be recognized for being a tough SOB by the community? Yes please!
What do you AE creators think? -

Edit: I found the right forum this can be deleted?
