  2. This is just my take on things. If you feel better with other power choices that is totally cool. For me, I like the good numbers to most things. And I tend to use Howling Twilight as a weapon as often as I can. Maybe I am silly that way.

  3. Dark Times at Paragon High


    When I22 hits. A lot of people will be making Dark Control based toons.

    So, how about a series of TFs geared toward not only getting some of the Task Force Commander badges, but also help a bunch of people level up the new shiny?

    Minimum Team Size of 4: Teams stay the same for all the TFs.

    Lets say the team members must have Dark something as either Primary or Secondary. It would be challenging to limit the team to just Controlers or Dominators. So lets open it up to any combo so long as Dark either Primary or Secondary. This includes every AT I believe.

    And lets have a screen shot of total time.

    Lowest Time gets a Prize.
    Most Deaths gets a Prize.
    Maybe a bonus of negative time if no taunter types are on the team?

    This is just a starting point.

    I personally wouldn't be opposed to chipping in 500 million to something like this.

    Maybe even have a 250 Million buy in for evey player that enters the contest. So the pool of winnings go up? That would be 1 billion per entered team.

    Just a thought.

    And River...if we had a contest for the first toon to go from 1 to 50...that would just be mean...
  4. This is something i came up with yesterday that I posted in the builds workshop. With no replies.

    The goal for this build is to be as close to capped resist values as possible. I assume a double stack of defensive sweep. Which will help with the melee def.

    This is a potentially high money build. But, I feel that it could safely handle almost any situation in the game.

    Be sure to turn on the incarnate tab. To see how that changes things. The one thing I can not add to it is the Might of the Tanker proc. Which would turn the tide in the resist department.

  5. This is my attempt to get the resist values of my tank as high as possible. This is not a "need it Now!!" build, but one to work towards. Anyone have suggestions as to what to change to get to that goal?

  6. Itrials and incarnate content in general you are dealing with mobs that can dish out everything at you. But seems that AoE, Ranged, Fire, Energy and Psi are the types most often seen when facing large mobs. So I typically try to get as close to 32.5% to as many different positions or types as I can so that I am one small purple away from softcap. So long as you are using Divine Avalanche your melee and lethal def is fine.

    I also take into consideration that different trials require you to move between melee and range, and it is nice to be able to be effective at both.

    I don't know what the theme of your character is, but I have been working on a Street Justice/Regen character that is modeled after the recent Thundercats cartoon. So I have tried to incorporate as many of the classic "abilities" as I could.

    The sword of course is a nod to Lion-o

    Stealth for a nod to Tygra

    Superspeed for a nod to Cheetara

    Manuvers and Tactics as a nod to General Panthro

    And Fire Blast and Ring of Fire a nod to the Thundertanks' ranged weapons.

    You will have a Melee attack chain of Sting, DA, Soaring Dragon, and Golden Dragonfly

    A PBAoe chain of Flashing Steel and Lotus Drops

    A Ranged chain of Ring of Fire and Fire Blast.

    For Alpha is Agility Partial Core, this is to Cat-like nature of the concept

    For Destiny is Ageless, the Thundercats ho from the sword, where the speed and endurance is heightened

    For Interface is Degenerative Partial Core, the trickster stink bombs of the Willie Kit and Kat are the idea

    For Judgement is Pyronic, as that supports the Thundertank idea

    For Lore is Phantom Partial Core as a nod to the support of Jagga.

    It is not a perfect build. But, hopefully there will never be a moment in a trial or content that you will have to stand there and wait to be able to use your sword. Like when the blue patches drop in a Apex, or the purple patches drop in a MoM trial.

    And in the end hopefully it would be fun and enjoyable.

  8. Personally, the Rocky colors of black and gold, screaming 80s dance crazy that Apacci is "rockin", seems better than the Old Jersey Shore mother that Ici is looking like. Maybe its the colors or the pig-tail White hair, not sure.

    I did it.

    Oh...retirement only happens for those not on the first 4 pages of my character select screen on my main server. I have a use and a purpose for them all. Lately though, I seem stuck on the 13 or 14 level shifted ones, while trying to work up others.

    Doesn't help that new sets come out and I have to try them out, with various combinations.

    and I am not really trying to brag. We all find enjoyment in what we do. Or we wouldn't be doing it. I just happen to like when my friends say I am like a crab fisherman..or Hal...both make me laugh..

  21. Ok. This is my 2 cents.

    I have a AR/Kin corr, a AR/Traps corr, a AR/Dark, and a Huntsman SoA.

    I threw the huntsman build in there mostly for the all gun aspect. Hot lead shooting down range and all.

    I enjoy them all for various reasons.

    When I decided to Incarnate out the AR/Kin I decided to try something. I went with a cardiac t3, for the extra range, and the t3 cyronic partial radial Judgement, for the extra range.

    Lets just say, it is fun as heck to shoot off 3 long range extreme damage cones one right after the other.

    Opinions may vary, but that toon has helped earn more Mo badges than anything else I have in my toon-box of alts.

    Hate to be the one to say this...but good luck with your long, long two week trek to 44. If you are just looking to get to 44 for a power..well...45 or 46 would be the better level range, so you can have slots in whatever super best build you have in mind.

    I could help you get there. It would take at most 2 days. But, I have a firm rule that I only help close friends with that kind of thing. And I don't know you. I also never power level people that will just take that power level, and never pay it forward or reciprocate in kind. I say this, cause you do not give any mention of helping anyone else out, or trading power leveling back and forth. You come across like the old beggars in Portal Corp back in the day that would spam looking for farm for hours at a time.
    And I just put those people on ignore now.

    Maybe I have you totally pegged wrong, in which case I apologize in advance.

    But, I can say this, you will not be getting levels from my button mashing.

    done it 3 times with a group of 14. We seemed to have little issue. Got all the badges as well. I do wonder about some of the AV warwalker powers that seem to happen without a reticle that I can see. Which is a little odd. Otherwise a fun slog of a Trial.
