Quote:Zone events disabled in Atlas Park.I wanted to howl, halfway through this answer, because he answered the opposite of the question we've been asking:
Right now, in both Atlas Park and Galaxy City, there are areas where the normal zone mobs are invisible, untargetable, and unaggroable if you're running a mission that phases in other mobs. For example, if you're doing Aaron Thiery's arc, half of the warehouses near him are on fire, and the usual Hellions and Vahzilok and Clockwork are all replaced by Arachnos.
What will happen in that neighborhood, and in similar neighborhoods, during a Rikti zone invasion? Will Rikti spawn on top of you in the phase you're in, or will they spawn out-of-phase with you? How about UXBs? Will the Rikti aircraft fly up to the edge of the phased area, disappear, and reappear on the other side? While they're out of phase with you, can they still shoot you?
What will happen in that neighborhood, and in similar neighborhoods, during a zombie apocalypse? Will the Arachnos (and the warehouse flames?) despawn and be replaced by the zombies? Will the phased mission continue, and the zombies spawn out-of-phase with you?
Are any of the deadly apocalypse spawns in those areas? If so, what happens to them if you're out of phase with them? How about the Jack and Eochai spawns from the Halloween event? Can you trick-or-treat in the phased areas, in all phases, or do the enemies that come running out of the doors only spawn into one phase? During the winter holiday event, do Christmas presents spawn in the phased areas?
Has any of this been tested? I've been asking QA this question, off and on, since one week into closed beta. -

Ooh.. That's right I guess this does break your entire tournament doesn't it.

Quote:Full power set respecs have been stated by the devs as incredibly difficult to code. Here is one issue I have with this title. It seems that you have complete freedom when creating mobs for missions with respect to the pairing of power sets. A massive, even dizzying array of combinations is available, and it seems to me this is the way the main game should have been.
I am guessing the idea of balance plays into powerset match restrictions. Once again balance trumping fun, in this case a BIG fun factor.
It seems to me that having that kind of freedom would not only increase the diversity 10 fold in player character variety, it would also serve to increase both popularity of certain unique builds as well as the overall game as a whole.
My question would then be this...Why do the restrictions on power sets in character creation exist, and why can't you change your original power set choice when respeccing?
Thanks for your input.
Regarding your desire for free form power set selection: That's just how the game is balanced. -
Quote:There are showstopping bugs in beta.Yeah, gotta say the announcement of 'soon' is somewhat disappointing.
Here's to hoping the soon is actually soon, not three weeks from now. >_>
There are showstopping bugs in beta.
They can't know how long it will take to fix so they can't possibly announce a date. -

Quote:Ok I hit 50 and the only recipe I am missing is the Miracle unique, and I just put an entire set into imps instead of using the odd purple in ClassH's build.
I can now claim to have a permadom, building it exactly like this. Thank you ClassH.
I am curious, what alpha do you recommend with that build? I eat blue but it's not bad with dom always going off and consume 6 slotted. I think Cardiac could help a bunch but Nerve of course would help with holds. Musculature is out of the question - fire/fire/fire is a damage god as it is.Quote:Why? You're still a ways out from the damage cap. Muscular Radial also enhances End Mod, which is useful for Consume and Stamina - assuming you're popping bluesQuote:I NEEDED cardiac on mine. I think that is more because of my build and my style of play. Even at T3, I can still kill my blue bar if I'm constantly spamming my AOE's.
I rock Musculature and Ageless.
All the blue I could ever want. -

Quote:nah that's about it.There are three PVP recipes I know of that are worth "The most money" out of, like, sixty. I don't know the details of AFK farming: last time I paid any attention it went like this: Get one character with a self rez power on auto, another character on another account with an attack on auto, put them in a corner of a PVP zone and go watch a movie while a boot steps on a human face forever.
I'm sure it's evolved some. -
(( Apologies not much of an RPer, I read sig and got here. Can dual box my accounts and sit in while I sleep. Would love to be there in person but well I work at night and that's about when I sleep. So if you can login early that day and start the league I can use a toon on each account so you gain 14 spots to let people on. Of course you yourself would have to stay logged in so you can access my team spots but well I'm sure you can come up with something. ))

Quote:and honestly so what if they arent held in the thing 24.7 its no like they can't hit you like those fissure and seismic smash are melee. so its a much better idea and for holding use cinders or the cool flashfire and you NEED bonfires damage.Quote:okay well the average fire/kin does about 20 damage off of fire cages. now you have activated fulcrum shift you get about an average 200% plus damage but 60 dam on bosses isn't takeing you anywhere. We all know that
Re: Most recent build
I'd rather try this. Which is your last attempt with a few changes.

This is a short story about how you, yes you, maybe even you can make a difference. Also an apology to TA for having his first Lambda be less than ideal.
So a call goes out in JU, Lambda followed by BAF forming. I've reached a new level of boredom so I decide what the hell I'll join. I stop killing myself long enough to log out and log in to my most survivable character, my SS/FA/Mu brute, Chaotic Flames. I head to Pocket D and join up. We've got about 10 people so far.
The League Leader, name withheld because I feel like it, says he's never lead a trial before and asks if anyone else is willing to lead. Another person pipes up and says they've lead a few and I comment about how I use to lead them all the time when trials were new. League Leader sends me a tell asks if I'll do it. I accept as long as he does the recruiting.
Our 15th and 16th players joining have never run a Lambda before, (hi TA, Dr. Havok!) SO I try to quickly explain the process. "Kill some robots enter a door, kill some more robots, kill some guns". LL passes me the star and we Queue up.
Lambda starts and all is going fine we clear the outside, enter the doors and I attempt one of my usual strategies. 'Team 1 go right team 2 go left" only 3 members of team 2 go left everyone else follows me. *sigh* We clear the courtyard and climb/jump/fly up to the guns. I and two others start heading counter clockwise while the rest goes clockwise. My group of 3 struggles to take down 1 gun starts on a second and I give up and go run off to where the other group is. We finish the guns without incident.
Here's where things start to fall apart. We enter the facility and start beating up the robot, "Beat up a robot then WAIT FOR INSTRUCTIONS TA HAS NEVER DONE LAMBDA BEFORE" I command. we beat the robot and I notice TA and friend haven't made it inside yet I go back out and someone enters a door. Dammit. I guide the two newbies into the facility and people are starting to get antsy since I haven't assigned doors. I quickly say "team 1 acid team 2 nades, gogogogo" followed by trying to quickly explain what we're doing to our new guys.
Time is ticking.
My team enters runs to the center containment unit blows it up. I say in team chat "Someone else lead I don't know what route you guys like to take" No one steps up. Time keeps ticking. I decide screw this and run back out of the center and start my preferred route around the facility from right to left. Get to the first unit. We're falling apart people are dying people aren't together. I start attacking it get it to a sliver and die again, I've already used my rez so I hospital. I run back in with TA following me and quickly apologize that I can't really go leisurely anymore. We're down to like 2 minutes with 5 nades and 2 acids. This isn't looking good.
I pop a few purples take down our 3rd unit. More time phew. run to the next one more time.. We hover between 1 and 3 minutes left for the rest of the phase quickly taking out all remaining units with me leading the charge. Around our 5th one of my team mates sends me a tell "This is going horribly" I reply "No worries, we're fine" and proceed to show that we are indeed fine as I blow up the 6th unit.
So that's how Chaos saved a Lambda Trial. out of time so I can't tell about how we nearly had mob overload becuase of not enough acids being used and still manged to pull together to get Marauder down with like 4 minutes left.
So Props to the league and sorry it didn't go better!

I'd make AYB the AoE Immob.
All enemies suddenly get a phone call in terrible engrish they stand still as they try to figure out what they're talking about.
