Um... Just because you don't like the PVP here (and I feel you on that, it is and always has been awful) doesn't suddenly make it cease to exist.

I can understand changing how it works from it's current state on live. I don't agree with it based on how few things it affects, how bad the rest of interface is, and the fact we are supposed to be OP, but people arguing that "well if they can't balance it due to technical limitations then so be it if it can only hit one target". That is an amazingly narrow view and should seriously be shouted at and pointed to another game.
Now you're just making stuff up. NOBODY has said it should only hit one target. Every post that's mentioned it in this thread assumes that it's a bug, or else is some crazed post about DOOOOOOM from someone (much like yourself) who has no real clue what they're talking about.

See? I can do it, too.

Balance is very important in games, and doubly so in MMOs. Just because a small subset of players feel entitled to having their rain damage powers turn into rapid-fire, no-crash nukes doesn't mean it's fair and balanced to the game design and the rest of the players.

There are even several people in this thread who have been using Reactive Interface on their Rain of Fire and Sleet users who have said they knew full-well it was going to come to an end one day. They knew it was breaking balance and would have to be changed.

Interface behaves the same way on regular attacks and damaging toggles as other procs (chance of once per activation or once per 10 seconds, respectively), so why is it that people expect these already massively damaging DoT rain powers to behave differently?

All that's really left to say is that there does seem to be a bug with AoE powers only applying an Interface debuff to a single target, but that's probably going to get lost in the crowd of individuals who are loudly complaining that they don't get more cake than everybody else.

If I'm not mistaken, I'm pretty sure it was noted somewhere around the time the Steampunk Booster was first revealed that they'd be using the "new face tech" in i21, and that the Steampunk Booster was a way to get a preview before the issue release.

Also, since hindsight bias is a thing and all, can you remember the last time we got a bunch (i.e., more than a couple sets) of free costume pieces?

It was Issue 13--new costume pieces to go with all the Day Job stuff.

Prior to that? Issue 5, with Asian comic-inspired gear.

I guess Issue 10 had three free sets (though one had to be unlocked via Vanguard Merits at the time). Issue 15 came with a bunch of new faces, but no costume sets. Issue 8 brought Vet Rewards, which had wings and trenchcoats and the like, but they were all unlocked based on subscription duration.

Issues 6 and 18 were both expansions, and thus came with several new costume options, but they too were based on paying for the pack.

The "Golden Age of Free Costume Pieces" really doesn't exist, sadly.

I think this is only the 2nd time NCSoft has put GR on sale. Heck, it might be the first.

The rest of the times, it was resellers, such as GameStop and Best Buy.

    Oh, man, I assumed this was the Player Questions forum... I just clicked on it as I scrolled by looking for something interesting. -_-;;

  6. I'm feeling "The Hired Headhunter" for that dude. Sweet costume, by the way.

My SR Scrapper spends enough time eating dirt, thank you very little.

Also, Energy Melee/Energy Aura for Scrappers in i21! >_>

Well, seeing as how they're not celebrated in Primal Earth, I kinda doubt they're celebrated in Praetoria. We celebrate winter for about a month between December and January, and spring for a couple weeks (in February, no less).

You should also be able to slot the Knockback sets. Explosive Strike has a Chance for Smashing Damage you could slot into most of your single target powers.

The ranged AOEs also have access to Positron's Blast with Chance for Energy Damage (in case you're just not doing enough energy damage ).
  10. I wouldn't mind shorter socks too, while they're at it. My main wears sneakers on his primary costume... but he also wears jeans, so you can't really tell his socks are ridiculous unless someone casts a stealth power on him.

  14. My favorite MM secondary has always been Poison (aside from the heavy endurance usage and the fact that the debuffs can and do miss), because there's always something you can do: toss Alkaloid on a pet or teammate, debuff your foes, and even drop a bit of control here and there. It's fun times.

That said, I'm interested to see what happens when I get my Demon/Therm MM up high enough to get Heat Mastery and start chucking Fireballs alongside the whip cracks...
  15. Then *I* must be misremembering, and for that, I apologize.
  16. Actually, Martial Arts WAS on Test. I don't think either the Cyborg or Magic pack were on test... (if they were, I must have just missed the notification.)
  17. Meh. I traditionally rake in 4-8 shards on an ITF, and 2-5 shards on a LGTF, so ITF is my go-to shard-grabbing TF.

Some people are just luckier than others.

Basically, your broker needs to know you can handle the simple stuff before he/she is willing to set you up with an excursion into Paragon. Successfully smuggling a team of wanted criminals into a city full of superheroes isn't cheap, y'know.

I get the feeling that they're reluctant to add the Safeguard/Mayhem missions to Ouroboros because people they feel people would just skip the paper missions and wait to do the SG/Mayhem missions until they could one-off them.

This puts everyone, both inside and outside Ouroboros, on equal footing.

I'm not saying I disagree--we probably will get at least one more trial in i21, if not more than one--but nothing has been specifically said to be coming beyond i20.5.
  21. What problem are you having with the mission? What mission is it?

(If it's a Praetorian warehouse mission and you can't get through the doors, it's a known issue that's hopefully being worked on.)

You have every right to ask, but they also have every right to refuse. Which brings us into the whole "back and forth" that you said you were bored with.
