  2. It will run the individual features, yes, but it won't run them well. You really should look into something in at least the 5600+ group.
  3. One of the characters in the comic shop has worn a City of Heroes teeshirt at some point as well.

You don't have to reaffirm to get the power. You get it automatically a week after switching to Hero alignment (which gives you the "Countdown to Justice" power or whatever it's called). My main has the power, and I certainly haven't done a Morality Mission since I swapped sides to get the new i21 villain badges.

They're just making it so you remain ineligible to earn Alignment Merits if you have not reaffirmed your alignment... the same prerequisite for earning the rewards from Morality Missions.
  5. I'm still using those 53 SOs on my newest 50. I haven't really focused too much on a build for him yet, and now that he's got +1 from Alpha, he's not under performing with SOs that noticeably.

Eh, I know people on both sides of the fence on that. I'm not terribly excited about Titan Weapons, but I'll get it (I have this creepy idea for a Silent Hill-themed Brute). My best in-game friend skipped Street Justice in favor of Titan Weapons, though, and he can't shut up about them.

I also know that there aren't that many people who actively play on the test and beta servers, though. And of the group that do, I'd hypothesize that the majority isn't there to actually test so much as they just want to see the new shiny stuff... hence all the ill-tempered complaints that show up on the forums in the first couple days when things go from closed beta to opened; "How dare you have bugs in the beta!?!"

    -----

That said, WHY THE PANCAKE IS THE STORE STILL DOWN ON TEST!?! They said Titan Weapons was going to be available for testing 5 days ago, and still nada!

No. It just means you have to be a Hero or Villain already and then do ONE Hero or Villain Morality Mission.

If you've already been doing them and have earned Alignment Merits or the first time Reward Merit bonus, then you should be good to go.

  9. Maestro, tell your friend to look on the bright side... the Shadowy Presence power was 400 Points ($5) in beta.

An Astral Merit is not a "relevant reward" when it comes to working down an Incarnate Path. It's a small drop in a huge bucket. To borrow a euphemism, "It takes a long time to get to England in a rowboat."

They're planning better solo-friendly Incarnate content for an undisclosed release in the future. It still won't be as fast as running Incarnate Trials--they've said that the trials are always going to be the main, intended way for players to earn and expand upon their Incarnate abilities--but it'll be better than running the Signature Story Arcs for one Astral every week.

No, there's evidence that they planned to test it concurrently with the Halloween Event at best, and it's far more likely that it was just a few teaser images for the set. You really expected them to release two purchasable Power Sets in the same month, when one of them hasn't been publicly tested at all yet?

(Heck, I wouldn't even put it past someone to have goofed and gotten the shots using an internal build test character and mistakenly getting those shots past marketing.)

They said they were going to start testing Titan Weapons this past Friday (which obviously got borked by something on the back end and didn't happen). Even without that back-end borking, you still expected them to have it launched on live this Thursday, less than a week into testing, based on that announcement? You say that some developers are confident in their QA team's testing abilities alone, but from what I gathered from this latest beta, Synapse very much values the input of players when it comes to testing new powersets...

I have few doubts based on what we do know that we'll see Titan Weapons before the end of November, but it'll likely be in the second half of the month--actually, I'm guessing Cyber Monday (the Monday after Thanksgiving) would be a solid bet. It's something that could easily appease the people who weren't invited to the i21.5 closed beta, which should be kicking off any day now...
  12. I can pretty much guarantee that Titan Weapons was NOT intended to be released on live concurrently with the Halloween event. As you say, it hasn't been properly tested yet.

Gonna have to agree with GG here. I rather like each and every Incarnate trial we currently have access to, and with the exception of the Underground Trial, they're all quicker to run than any of the endgame TFs. They're supposed to be more challenging, and the cat herding is part of said challenge.
  14. All I know is, The Facepuncher is getting a faceless costume courtesy of the Think Tank head.

    Great set, devs. Love it.
  15. The Ascot does not sit right on female models. Further, the store lists it as being a Chest Detail piece, but it shows up under Face Details (not sure which of those is the bug).

It's listed in the store under Chest Details, so that's where the spreadsheet should show it too.

OP has been updated with the new items and the lack of current sales (sad face ).
  18. New costume items this week--HALLOWEEN COSTUME PIECES! There's a bundle of 12 pieces for 400PP and contains a bonus Bat Aura.

The Halloween Costume Pieces will only be available until November 18th.

    Test is down?

ARGH! It's back up, I can log in, but there's still no store access.

And Titan Weapons still doesn't show up (even as locked) when creating a new melee fighter. Double sad face...

Not to mention the fact that I ALREADY WENT OVER THIS, that it is very likely the source of the OP's headache (and childish rant), AND that the latest driver set fixes it because it was a DRIVER ISSUE ALL ALONG that had to do with ATI screwing up their OpenGL code, which was nothing that Paragon Studios could control or fix...

But yeah, go ahead and blame Paragon Studios with an ill-informed pancake-fest anyway.

Um... Aaron Thiery's arc is "Reason to Fight," the very first one on your list.

It IS really weird that you completed the arc and didn't get the badge. Did you make sure to finish it off by going to City Hall and talking with Matthew Habashy one last time?

  24. What model is your video card? I'm guessing it's an ATI card, because up until the absolutely latest driver release, everyone else with an ATI card was experiencing the same issues.

Here's a link to the latest driver: http://www2.ati.com/drivers/11-9_vis...dd_ccc_ocl.exe

Before installing it, please make sure you completely uninstall your existing video driver, then run Driver Sweeper (or equivalent driver removing software) in Safe Mode to ensure you've got all the old files and registry settings deleted.

You're not having an issue with the game itself; it's a problem with the way ATI had been handling OpenGL graphics all summer. If you're going to get pissy with someone, then do it with the people who screwed up the damn drivers.
