It's Tuesday! New stu--oh, nevermind.
We got a bundle of Signature Story Arc 1: Part 1-4 for 800 PP (50% off purchasing them all individually) and Weapon Pack 1: Titan Weapons is now back in the store with a 240PP price point. Additionally, VIPs have a new Tier 9 Paragon Rewards option open to them today: Fire & Ice costume pieces!
This week's sale is a pretty good one in my opinion, though: the Barbarian costume bundle is on sale for 300PP--25% off! (The individual costume pieces are not on sale.) -

Street Justice, Time Manipulation (which I had completely forgotten), Beam Rifle, Titan Weapon are all *NEW* powersets with *NEW* animations and FX and all of them were put on the market for both f2p and VIP members to purchase (Both F2P and VIP to purchase should never be in the same sentence since one is paying a monthly fee and the other isn't).
If they release a "free" VIP powerset and 3-4 paid powersets during each issue, or even every other issue, we're still doing better than we were pre-Freedom. -
Going with Freitag on this one. There's no noticeable difference in the actual quality of the animation itself, just retouched coloring. I don't get the point of "remastering" at all, seeing as how my regular DVD YuYu Hakusho episodes look juuuust fine.
(I have the entire series from when they did the first DVD release.)
Now, as Tenzhi said, it WOULD be nice if they'd release entire seasons on a single BluRay disc, making it cheaper and easier to get said shows. It's going to take me quite a while to collect One Piece at 13 episodes a pop, with over 500 episodes at this point... -

It's probably time to redo the whole system. Memory is super cheap these days--you can get 4GB for $20 a lot of the time... but you'll still be spending at least a couple hundred getting a decent new motherboard and processor.
Father Xmas posts a lot on these forums, and tends to have links like this one in his signature to help out people who need to upgrade their computers on a budget. You can probably drop the case, power supply and maybe even the hard drives (though I usually recommend getting new ones when building a new system)--and obviously the video card, since you just bought a new one--to save yourself some cash and still have a very respectable system. -

The Winter Holiday Pack is live, and contains all the winter holiday costume pieces that can be unlocked via the event (stocking cap, ear muffs, Santa boots, etc.), as well as the emotes and the Snowball temp power. Owning the pack gives you access to these items all year round, but the pack itself is only available for purchase until January 31, 2012. The full list of contents and their individual costs can be found below:

Hardest for me personally was pre-Incarnate MoSTF. I believe it took me 13 runs to get it, and I only died on two of those runs... Now it's a walk in the park.
Current easiest: MoApex or MoITF. (ITF was easy even before Incarnate abilities on a good team.)
Current hardest: MoKeyes. Green Stuff hates you. Loves a Challenge wasn't too bad, even before the recent difficulty nerfs, when compared with Green Stuff.
(Still haven't had the time to try either of the 2 new trials... but from everything I've heard, I doubt I'll be changing either of the above.) -

... Speaking of which, I'm working part-time at GameStop for the holidays (what with having lost my REAL job in October), and I just sold a woman and her son on City of Heroes this morning when she was asking if I knew any good free MMOs.

I'm hoping we get some new MM powersets (and the four-legged rig they've put together certainly seems like it could be used for a Beast Tamer MM!), a tech-style control set, and perhaps finally some regular water control and blast sets in the next year. -
I'm very sorry to hear it. I chatted with DC a bit back in the heal farm days, and have often wondered why I haven't been seeing him on badge runs.
If he's up for a joke, tell him that I will collect all the badges in his memory, and regardless tell him that he's remembered fondly and that I have always appreciated his help badging in the past.
