Question in case anyone has figured it out (or something similar) and can point me to the correct way...
I usually delete the "Boost Up" power data from the Gaussian's Chance for Buildup so I can see the modified to-hit of my attacks taking Focused Accuracy into account without the bonus/boosted to-hit/damage from the Build Up effect.
Now, if I delete, or modify, that Boost Up on this IO, it comes back after I exit and relaunch the program.
I hate having to add/delete the IO every time I want to see values that aren't inflated by the 5% Build-up. Has anyone figured out a way to edit something like this and get the edit to actually stick/save? -

One thing to consider that I haven't seen noted here is default AV = purple triangles, even when stepped down to EBs.
Purple triangles are not equally an issue across classes. They are only really annoying for some of two classes (cont, dom).
I don't have a wagon in this race, one way or the other, but it may have been a design decision to avoid causing those 2 classes Purple Triangle Blues. -
Bear this in mind...
The first time through, there are no time-gates blocking anything (just like the first time for each SSA).
Repeat trips through (via Ouro) are time gated daily (20-hours).
So, after your first pass through all the arcs, things will slow down a lot due to the blockades (time-gates). -

Typed defense is worthless on a SR/ Tank (or /SR brute/scrapper/stalker for that matter), with the possible exception of Psi.
I didn't start from scratch, but here's a modification of yours that hits incarnate softcap defense and runs Tough. It's not perfect, or exactly what I would do, but it's closer.

Quote:Oh, if you dont want permafrost, you can slot 3% def IO in touch, and put the 20% slow/recharge movement IO (winter something) and still hit 100% recharge debuff resistance. Ever run across caltrops as if you were ice skating? ;-)
I dont slot (as much) for +hp, since hoarfrost, accolades, and regular +hp bonuses put me within 100HP or so of the tanker cap.
You, um... , seem to be mixing Ice/ and SR/ together a bit...... -
Here's what I'd go for in order:
~60% Defense (M/R/A)
Tough (fully slotted)
+HP (as much as reasonably possible, my TW build-plan is over 2650)
+Recharge (for attack purposes)
+Regen (which actually comes along nicely from building for +HP anyway)
Void Judgement (-50% damage tree)
Rebirth Destiny (+regen tree) -
Mine were coming around the ~15th or so. However, after my renewal in December on the 12+2 special, my time moved to the ~28th.
When I sent in a query, the GM looked it up and gave me the new date. He had no good reason why it moved. There was a thread in Player Questions about it and several folks seemed to have moved, too.
Best I can tell, doing the X+Y special moved the renewal/award date. -
Quote:I think this is still an issue. I mostly use Word and PowerPoint, but I indeed think that the VB scripts don't work on the OSX version.
The Office 2011 version of Excel returned VB scripting functionality (which had been ripped out of Office 2008 for some reason). Here is the post on the MSDN blog:
http://blogs.msdn.com/b/nadyne/archi...ffice-mac.aspx
Now, whether it actually does or not, I have no personal experience with. But, it's supposed to. -
IMO, Rebirth (with +Regen secondary).
Also, the -50% damage (30 seconds) from Void Judgement is excellent, too. -
Be sure to mouse over the Defense numbers in the Mids totals display. The display rounds to 1 decimal place, but when you mouse over each, it shows you out to 2 decimal places.
45 can actually be 44.9x, or it can be 45.02, for example. I always check for the exact value now, since I realized that the display was rounding long ago.
Play around with a few enhancement boosters and you can probably get it rounded up to 45, if you care. -
Just got an update, quite a quick response I will say.
My stipend date mysteriously moved from the 16th to the 28th, just as others here in this thread have had their dates move.
The GM didn't really seem sure why. It does seem to be something to do with the 12+2 month special. -
Don't forget how much Shockwave ever 4-5 seconds helps, too.
-
I have been playing that other new game, so I haven't logged in in a bit.
I did do the 12+2 special though, so I haven't lapsed at all.
I got points on 11/16 and 12/16. No points awarded yet from January.
So, I just sent in a petition and came looking and found this thread. I wonder if my billing date has randomly moved like some here.
I wish I had paid closer attention to my Tokens. I'm not sure if I'm missing one or not.
edit: I think I'll religiously spend my one Token every month and not save any, that way I can keep track of the Token easier. -
Personally, I'll be replacing my 5 C.Impact +1 Proc in Smite with 4 Tanker-ATOs (including Resist Proc) + 1 A/D/E + 1 Proc.
I gain +Dmg, +Rchg +HP and lose +Acc (which my build can afford to do). Plus, of course, I gain the Resistance proc bonus, which will nigh cap my S/L with one stack. As I swing Smite approximately once per 4 seconds, keeping the resistance buff up should be easy most of the time.
I look forward to it. Though, it will take me a while to earn the Reward Merits to buy 3 (I have enough for 1 currently). -
-
The new proc in the Tanker ATIO set will net you 5-15% Resist to All quite easily.
So, you can use Cardiac and still be at the 90% cap. -

Quote:The normal set is a Rare (Orange) set. It can be slotted at low levels (1+, 10+, I dunno) and it is Attuned to you (levels with you, exemplars with you).I'm kinda confused by why there's a 'normal' set and a 'superior' set? o_o Is it possible to slot both the normal and superior set into a build?
The superior set is Very Rare (Purple). It can only be slotted at Level 50. It does exemplar down (attunement) with you.
As I understand, you can only have one set per character period, no doubling up at all by having 1 normal and 1 superior set.
So, get a normal set, level with it to 50, collect enough Catalysts to convert them all at once, and turn them in to the superior set.
Of course, if you have 5 purple sets maxing out your +10% recharge bonus, you can leave it superior for the 8.75% recharge bonus. -
edit: I moved the reply since I wasn't sure if this could be posted here.
Here it is at then end of the thread: http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showthread.php?t=279766 -
Quote:I'd like a review of the various status protections between powersets. For example, I am still confused why Shield was given fear protection, but Invul (either in Unyielding or Unstoppable) and Granite (you are a nearly indestructible rock) were not. Just one example...there may be others.Quote:Tanker Defensive Issues, a summary:

8) Reexamine Tanker status protection. With the addition of more and more mobs that can cause status effects like confuse and fear, Armor sets have not been reexamined to handle them.
This! Very much this for me! The glaring Fear and Confuse hole for most sets is massively annoying. My main is Elec.Armor and it drives me to frustration at times.
The new "Awakened" mobs in First Ward are a very recent reminder of this.
Tweaking this would be first on my personal preference chart. -

4th of July Alien invasion? It's a movie tradition, apparently, so it could be an event tradition.
