Sonic/Sonic : 3
Rad/Rad : 1
Because my Warshade loves getting a Sonic/* on the team, maxxed out Resist shields!! And I prefer my Dark/Sonic Defender to my Dark/Rad one. -
Agreed, I don't want to wait 2 years for a marginally useful TP power, which is pointless until you're level 35.
I like the idea of it being purchasable via Vanguard Merits though, it makes sense that the Vanguard would provide some sort of quick way for heroes / villains to rally to the War Zone. -
List of them here which I must update again. I joined Union Events and sals badgehunters yesterday on my Union character and they seem very active.
-
On 4, when you get a choice of Contacts you'll be told who they are investigating / have interests in and if you've a choice of contacts generally you'll find one that suits you.
Like LN I start IOing 30s & 35s, both non-set and set ones. I also use the /respec trick to sell off expiring DOs/SOs at cost (and generally to mix things up a bit) a few times between levels 22 and 37. My Kheld is level 36 now and she's been respecced 3 or 4 times (free ones & vet ones). -

Siren's call pvp event
[/ QUOTE ]
What about us that don't PvP?
[/ QUOTE ]
Generally PvP Skill is the last thing that applies in those Dev / Mod lead PvP events. They're more like a PocketD event with "Gank the Dev" thrown in. The Rogue Islands invasion and the Bridger / Rockjaw lead Sirens Call events for example. -

Weather effects are among those things that have been denied which could happen. I'd have to say that, having looked into Rhode Island weather, we're going to be depressed a lot if they implement a remotely accurate weather pattern, however.
[/ QUOTE ]
How much more depressing could their weather be than ours? -

This one is rather amuzing http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=nC5h27sinjM. Nicely produced, little long in places to match the music.
[/ QUOTE ]
That is excellent! Carnie MMs for the win! -

XML (or something) output from the game recording stats like this would be nice, personally I'd leave anything more complicated for the fans to make, its getting the data out of the game thats the pain.
[/ QUOTE ]
Yep, any simple XML format would do, RSS is just XML anyway. Something easy to parse with that a webapp can then feed off and collate. -

Jeez louise, ok if...and I stress if my post was a cause of annoyance then that was not what I intended, if anyone has seen my previous posts I am a staunch supporter of the game and the community therein.
It was simply (possibly skewed) an attempt at levety to the fact that as others noted, this is an ongoing weekly occurance that is becoming old hat
Now on the other hand if the OP is a new player and doesnt know this then I apologise if what seemed to be baiting, ....wasnt aimed at you....and if you are reading this OP, then just have patience, ive been here for 2 years almost now and there are allways lulls.
Bear in mind this is a 4 yr old game that has one of the best communities compared to others, stick with it and eventually youll break that wall and enter a rich world full of mental cossies, hardcore badge-ing, uber sillyness during fun tfs (auto running into av's on squishys etc) nights of inane sillyness at GG, and other related insanity
This game is much much more than it seems at first glance, its like walking into a club with a few mumbling regulars at the bar, only to stumble through a side door and catch the hidden weekly mental basement rave.
However I still stand by rabbits song for those who know better
[/ QUOTE ]
That's the other thing, Rabbit, how dare you make the Wheels in the Bus go round and round in my head!!
Make it stop!! -

You're amazingly high on your soapbox today, Carni. Feeling happy?
[/ QUOTE ]
No, I just don't see the need to flambe someone new. How about cutting them some slack rather than making assumptions (strangely self-fulfilling ones) about how long they'll stick about? -
I know. Let's just hound, flame and slag the new person rather than post anything constructive. That'll encourage them to stick around.
Bravo! -

I blame Alex for 'forgetting' the PPD codes. The man should be taken out the back and shot.

Speaking of PPD codes... -
Actually I got a tell from you yesterday afternoon about joining my team Super Sidekick, but we were full up at the time. 2 mins later I went looking for you again when a spot opened up, but you'd logged I think
I don't think I've been logged on for more than 4 minutes in the last week and failed to get at least one Tell asking if I'm LFT, it's insane! And that's with a 30-something toon as well, which used to be the teaming doldrums for me.
I think it's partially down to me not flitting madly between toons and actually sticking with one most of the time, my WS is showing up on a few Friends lists or something and getting PuGs from that.
So feel free to stick Dark Quasar onto your Friends list and shout if you're looking again.
*Edit : I'd still like to have a merged server group though, Villains is still too solo-esque for my liking -

I don't see any issue with removing/replacing Hurl Boulder from the Bruiser (since Thugs had tonnes of Ranged Damage already)
[/ QUOTE ]I do. -Fly for example. Pulling AVs, sometimes. Get back to me on this when Enforcers get Web Grenades.
[ QUOTE ]
and changing Handcrap to Knockdown rather than Knockback.
[/ QUOTE ]This I can merrily agree with.
[ QUOTE ]
I think with the Medic some sort of "Buff me" or "Go into Buff Mode" *might* be a nice solution, so he'd never fire, he'd stick to slapping out Heals and Buffs until you told him to stop. Or "Heal & buff me" and "Heal and buff my Target" commands.
[/ QUOTE ]
Don't think this can be done, as it falls into the same category as disabling specific powers from pet usage.
Why not suggest a pet AI overhaul instead of nerfing my poor Bruiser?
[/ QUOTE ]
Because making a broad, sweeping statement like "fix the pet AI" is a pointless exercise in itself, it's like saying "Make the game better" without going into any details.
Agreed on the Hurl Boulder though, didn't realise it did -Fly (I'm Traps so I always use Web Grenade). -
Just on this one :
[ QUOTE ]
-Why do range/melee pets wont swap back ranged if you put them out of melee?
[/ QUOTE ]
This is because you want them to charge at another enemy and melee them once the first is defeated usually I'd guess. Knights and Bruisers would be even more annoying if they defaulted back to Ranged after every enemy defeat.
I think with the Medic some sort of "Buff me" or "Go into Buff Mode" *might* be a nice solution, so he'd never fire, he'd stick to slapping out Heals and Buffs until you told him to stop. Or "Heal & buff me" and "Heal and buff my Target" commands.
I don't see any issue with removing/replacing Hurl Boulder from the Bruiser (since Thugs had tonnes of Ranged Damage already), and changing Handcrap to Knockdown rather than Knockback.
And the Merc Mezzes could probably do with having their Recharge (and Durations to keep them balanced) reduced, they'd probably be more useful / less wasted by the Mercs that way. -

Your post has been notified to a moderator. Have a nice day.
[/ QUOTE ]
Reporting that you've notified a mod to someone is considered flaming Ravens, I thought you knew that? Press the button and move on
And didn't Defiant take down a drop-ship last week? They're still destrucable, the major change made to them is they ignore Slows. That change was while they were in Beta though AFAIK.
Pretty vid though, all the streaming shots from the heros and the swoop-throughs by the cameraman are nice. -
[ QUOTE ]
I'm currently operating on the assumption that the OP really enjoyed the Wrath of the Lich King pre-launch event in WoW.
[ QUOTE ]
Anything with PvP which is forced on me during a raid?
[/ QUOTE ]
Actually, this game has gone to considerable effort to make sure that no one ever has PvP forced on them anywhere. If they made this change they could actually have people logging off for the duration, or cancelling subscriptions.
This is not WoW. PvP is not an integral part of the game. Never suggest something which forces PvP in the normal city Zones.
Actually, I'm not even sure it's possible to have PvP in the non-PvP Zones.
[/ QUOTE ]
I think it is, you just switch someones PvP flag on. The CoV "end of beta" event did this I think.
I got fairly bored of the zombies pretty quickly too. They seemed a bit too tough for the characters I was playing (my 20-something WS hated them, my Zombies MM tended to end up in a rather dull stalemate). Any lowbies are just useless vs invaders anyway, since the invaders are basically scaled level 30 enemies. And the Zombie EBs looked daft ,more like something out of Grim Fandago than anything else.
Wouldn't mind the OPs suggestion in a dedicated zone alright (some suburb with an entrance off Dark Astoria and it's look-and-feel? With a mall, as Artic says) -
[ QUOTE ]
This idea occurred to me a while back: Why not have some stock market information available (naturally tied to Wentworth's and the Black Market) so that people can see the overall 'performance' of various types of salvage, recipes and the like?
The 5 most recent transactions in WW and the BM are useful when making decisions on buyingbut I think it's be nice to have an item history. It's not a major thing, hence the thread title (Quality of Life) but I thought it might contribute to the notion of an economy. Any thoughts?
[/ QUOTE ]
Absolutely.
I was thinking over the weekend that an RSS Feed of the current market states would be a nice feature for Web Site Developers as well, listing the last 100 items sold and updating every minute or so.
It'd be fairly easy to take that feed and parse it into various logs available on a 3rd Party website then. -
Welcome back SteelRat!
I've been in the process of leaving during the last month or so, but keep getting dragged back in. Stupid Warshades. Stop being so entertaining on PuGs. -

This guide doesn't really help me at all, i have a lvl 50 ilu/kin controller and you havn't told me anything i didn't already know, the topic is just about your opinions on the powers and the names of them.
[/ QUOTE ]
Another thread revival...and now one of my guides...what is the world coming to?
Also, that's what guides are about. Go figure. If you know what the set does, don't expected to come to the guide to learn something new about the powers and all.
[/ QUOTE ]
I'd disagree with that myself. A good guide makes you stop and go "Hey, nice idea", even if you thought you knew the sets already. Maels guide about Katana from earlier in the week is a good example. I'll frequently read guides on sets I know a fair bit about to see if there are any tricks and tips in there I've missed.
Like Confusing an AV, takes a while since you've to double (or triple?)-stack it and wait for the Triangles to drop, but its very funny watching an AV suddenly use their horrible AOE power on their allies. If you've no suitable tank and / or are waiting for the PAs to recharge it can be well worth doing.
There are so many guides out now, especially for older sets like Illusion, that its really only worth writing one if you're prepared to add additional information. For example I think with i11 sticking Knockback/Recharge IOs into Phantasm makes him fire quicker (I think, I haven't tested properly yet). -

even WoW has animated hair
[/ QUOTE ]
It does?! I've never noticed it. Character models in WoW are horribly basic.

Exactly - if even they have it, then it must be a basic human/gnome/elf/rotting corpse/greenskin/troll/moo-cow right

Something about loving the old forums because they boost your postcount for you or something wasn't it? -
[ QUOTE ]
Plus, Nova form is a total godsend on those hunt missions in The Hollows or Perez. All those lovely mobs of villains just waiting for your AoE's...
[/ QUOTE ]
Yep, I don't think I've actually DONE any missions solo with my Warshade, instead I just street hunted with my LFT flag on and harvested evil doers in hazard zones.
*Edit, oh I did one mission at about level 5, that was it. I'm now level 33.
Edit : Actually Khorak, with the WS Dwarf changes, especially the change to its Mire (its becoming short lasting & short recharge) a double miring Dark Dwarf would seem to be getting close to something like a Brute of some sort. Especially when you consider you have 1-2 pets which easily outdamage individual Fire Imps tagging along behind you.
I'm actually getting quite giddy thinking about how vicious a Human/Dwarf WS build could be, especially against hordes of non-purple, non-boss enemies, although I love raining AOE death too much to make it my priority main build. -
Hiya. Double posts aren't allowed in the forums, you're not allowed post the same post in 2 different sections (this post in in Union Heroes as well), simply for the reason that if everyone did it we'd end up with lots of redundant posts to go through.
One nice way to "spread the word" is to stick a link to your post into your signature, then any post you make will have a free "advert" to the show. If you're having issues with the short length the Sig allows you can use http://tinyurl.com/ to replace the long board URL of your post to a nice short TinyURL one which will redirect to your post. -
[ QUOTE ]
If claws ever got -defence on all their attacks instead of just on "Slash", it sure could...
(And no, surprisingly pointy sticks are if anything a little bit faster now... at least in terms of animation "cast" time on the first three attacks, AoE, and highest-damage attack... Nyah, Nyah, Nyah?)
[/ QUOTE ]
Bugger! There goes that plan
Ah well, I've enough of an addiction to PROCs without adding to it.
