List of them here which I must update again. I joined Union Events and sals badgehunters yesterday on my Union character and they seem very active.
The best ones I can suggest would be
Sals badgehunters;
Union taskforce;
and Union chat;
....there are others such as mothership raid but the info usually goes cross channel anyway

Dont join Sals Badgehunters if you're looking for TF / teams etc, unless of course they're badge related. Made that mistake this morning and got suitably chastised!

SteelRat.. if your looking for TF's then DO join Sals badgehunters. However normal teams is a no... 
Do not know the occation of why you where chastised... so i cannot comment on that.
Sals Badgehunters are primarily for Badges and ofc Tf's.

I was probably in the wrong to be fair - makes sense for TF teams to be formed in there given that pretty well all of them award a badge of some sort for completion.

well ive been privvy to some major non badge related chat on sals, but 9 times out of ten it is badge related but as per Aretes comment, tfs are always advertised on there, sal himself will offer up his many runs of ITF/STF/SSTF's etc so why anyone would chastise you for following the examples of everyone else who uses that channel is beyond me bud

.. yes Stryke.. sadly there has been some mayor non-badge talk. (A little is ok.. but)... Time to bring the teleporter spell to Union Chat, when it gets too wild.

I can only see the new badge tracking system in i13 will cause mass discussion and help those "how many more do i have to kill" questions....but I only worry that the merit system that is inherent to the tfs come the new issue will also take over, ahh well such digression is to be expected and it is tf related...which in turn is badge related...thin linkage but meh
Still on the whole sals does tend to be a well run and freindly channel full of great peeps who are willing to help new players and vets alike....(apart from some idiot called stryke...ive heard he is more useless than a chocolate fireguard )

Well I responded to a "What's going on" request with a "running a lvl 9-10 mission team".. which is clearly not badge related. A couple of other people posted "lft" requests, when the request from an operator to leave it to badge only as the channel is not a general "lft" channel.
The mistake I made was commenting that surely there wasn't much harm in it, seeing as the channel was otherwise completely dead, and also commenting on the irony when someone misposted and put "sorry wrong channel".
I was silenced for that little quip. Shortly afterwards, I left.

Well silencing is not permanent Steel. It is a way however from the OP to say.. "leave it"- aka last means of warning. The silencing is not permanent.
Guess one had to be there as it did sound as a fun comment. (..the irony with "sorry wrong channel")
But... do join us again SteelRat, for more tf's and badgerelated stuff.
And the badgehunter channel is as said above not the general channel for being "live" as in normal terms. Feel free to chat at your hearts content in the Union Chat.
Myself, I like it when the badgechannel "seem" dead.. as in only badge/tf are announced. Less cluttering up on the chat windows
