Turned up for a brief cameo around midnight last night with my Necro MM.
I was the dead facedown one being Wormholed (or TP & Stun combo).
Just you heroes wait I tell my Lich about this in 3 bubbles time.
Actually despite my uselessness (and crashing out for 20 mins and not getting a team when I got back), it was sorta fun. Kept trying my luck against a Spines scrapper and I made him do a tactical retreat for a wee while. Then he camre back and creamed me.
After that it was just TPing into the sea from the base for me so I went back to PvE to grind for my Lich.
Just you guys wait -

Well for bodyguard mode u can juse make a macro bind, put the BG icon on the power tray then press a numpad key to activate. Anyway, this is the macro bind.
/macro BG "petcom_all defensive follow"
[/ QUOTE ]
Ta. The equivelent Bind should be something along the lines of :
/bind numpad/ "petcom_all defensive follow"
But as you say you can easily go into Options and set the key there.
[ QUOTE ]
I think petcom_name Mr Grey GoTo should work for the suicide zombie.
[/ QUOTE ]
So
/bind lctrl+rmouse "petcom_name Mr Grey GoTo Aggressive"
then probably, so he's all stroppy when he lands in the group. Thanks folks. Soon I'll have the best trained Zombies on Deviant. Then its off to Undead-Crufts for me
One level away from Mr Lich too although the solo grind last night on Villains is pretty darned boring. Get to 26 and maybe start PvPing with him I think. -

hey i'm curious since masterminds can make there pets/summons do emotes like read the newspaper or make em dance is it possible to make fire imps do that also? cuz I'm almost got my fire imps and I love to see my fire imps do crazy dances for my nxt music vid ^^
[/ QUOTE ]
You could download Khaine_Stars vid editor, get a friendly MM, take a vid of Zombies or whatever dancing away and then switch the models with the editor?
All imps do is aggro things and hit them. Evil little sods -
Hi folks,
So my Necro / Dark MM seems playable again for the first time since i7. Not sure why but the Twilight Grasp crashes are much rarer in the last few days. Yay
Anyway I want to start getting Spirit up a bit easier. So I'm looking to add some binds to the standard Numberpad system.
Firstly I want to bind Control & right-click as a Go To & Agressive stance for one Zombie (called Mr Grey) as a suicide mission so I can rip out his Spirit. I have Control & Left click as a group Go To so control & right click makes sense here for me. I will probably add a bind to say "sending zombie on suicide mission. One moment" for PuGs but I can manage that bit meself.
Also a quick "All pets to Bodyguard mode" (defensive follow) would be nice. Bound to numpad-. This will also a handy emergency Heel command for when a Knight decides to take on a second group.
Also does anyone know if the different Spirits from different henchies differ in any way bar apperance? The powers are the same I know. Do the higher tier Spirts have higher HP or anything? -

swear to gawd, i remember having -res on my freezing rain...
cant remember what it is, but will check tonight when im logged in.
Although, thinking about it... i could have been thinking about Steamy mist instead.... I might have resistance and defence "buffs" both in it, and confused the res as -res for freezing rain..... boo hoo
[/ QUOTE ]
Nah. I made the same mistake yonks ago too. MaX was right back then too
Recharge & Defense debuff are the way to go alright. For builds without immob attacks a slow or a 2/3 slow slotted Snow Storm is pretty useful to add on to it. -

It will prevent knockback for about 10 seconds. It's hardly the end of the world and that ice controller should take a chill pill.
[/ QUOTE ]If the mobs are high level, and the only control on them is ice slick, an AoE immob can easily get a few teammates killed.
[/ QUOTE ]
Or yourself since Cages is an aggro magnet. I'd always move fire cages away from my main attack row when teamed with a Ice/Earth Controller or an Ice tank.
Forgot this last week, Caged some +3s on a slick by mistake and knew as soon as I pressed the button I was dead.
Preventing Knockback can be great when teamed with Energy Blasters though to stop a debuffed group being scattered. Also for a Fire / Storm a way to limit Tornados knockback must be a handy tool. -
Grats GG. Fearless scrapper too as I discovered on Mondays TF trying to keep up with her as she hurled herself into mobs.

[ QUOTE ]
Iv heard lots about fire/kins and how fun they are, are they really as fun as they are put across and if so how are they so funThanks

[/ QUOTE ]
They're the damage monsters post level 38 when you get Fulcrum Shift. Controllers inherent Containment Power & Fulcrum Shift is nasty. Especially when you get Fireball availble at 41. Plus Fulcrum Shifted Fire Imps are vicious as I discovered teamed with an SG Kinetics during the week.
Before that I'm not sure really. Kinetics is a late bloomer and has no defenses really. You've a great heal to keep you running but not much else.
For a nasty early build try Fire/Rad. -

Choking Cloud is rubbish I've found - yes it's that bad, and the targets are normally dead before it kicks in. Flash is better I'd say. To me, there is also no point in running Spectral Terror with Choking Cloud, simply because it is a waste of endurance, since you will be more reliant on using other methods of control eg Flash (if anything) and Phantom Army, which double up as extra damage. Might be useful for PvP but I can't see how..
[/ QUOTE ]
Nah, its offically useless for PvP
I find it a really useful power with Fire, run it 24/7, but as you say the fact they can't run anywhere helps. Plus I have the other AOE controls anyway so i'm not sacrificing anything.
I left off taking Enervating Field until the 20s due to stamina constraints. The indirect Damage buff would have been useful in the teens but it + RI was just sucking down the End. Especially if you are going to be running Superior Invis too. I'd agree that Group Invis is the more End friendly power and its fine against most things bar snipers & droids with good perception. -

T he range of Thunderclap does exceed that of Hurricane, so you will hit critters that are being brushed by your Hurricane.
[/ QUOTE ]
Does it exceed the new pushback range of Hurricane? Because since i7 Hurricane seems to push back way too far for PBAOEs to be of any use any more. -
Iron as in the metal or the appliance for dewrinkling clothes? Go Team SteamIron!
Not around next week, off on hols but thinking of Numina or Mantibores when I get back and get into level range.
Not far off being able to Eden either. -
[ QUOTE ]
Task Force Iron was awesome ,)
[/ QUOTE ]
I thought we were Task Force Brick?
Good fun alright even though our brave leader kept chickening out and running away :P
Or "crashing" as he called it. Yeah, yeah. Superman makes the same excuse every time a kitten gets trapped in a tree.
"Oh Superman why didn't you come. Little Tiddles fell from the tree and is dead."
"Erm, sorry. I, erm, crashed. Yes. That'll do"
Cheers for orgainising Shielder. We kicked fascist [censored]. -
Just a random musing from using it with my Fire/Rad but I find Choking Cloud great and on paper it should blend nicely with Spectral Terror as it won't aggro them. You can Spec Terror them, run in and choke. You do need to 6 slot Cloud though and its another toggle added to your list butr I run Hotfeet, Choking Cloud, RI & EF happily most of the time, dropping Hotfeet if the End is running out.
I'd consider Choking Cloud instead of Flash maybe.
Conserve Power I'm not so sure on. It's got a 10 minute recharge which always seems too much for me.
Deceive is a great little power. I've found it great on Carni at level 42 (respeced it in) and Confuse is wonderful on my low level Dominator, especially when soloing. Could be useful in the lower levels for you. Dunno where you could cram it in though to be honest. -
[ QUOTE ]
For what its worth, the score is misleading. The fight seemed equal sided to me with everyone doing there bit effectively.
P.S. I hate teleport.
[/ QUOTE ]
True, I thought you guys worked as a unit better at the start. You had me panicking a bit too at points, the End Drains, knockbacks and all the mezzes dropping my toggles were horrible. Especially when they're followed up by 2x402 damage criticals.
Towards the end when we regrouped we held our own well though. Took me until the last minute to realise that 2 hurricanes are better than one
Nice way to finish my 3vP tourny. I'd really like to get my Necro/Dark MM levelled up and enter him to the next one for a bit of variety. May get creamed but I'd like to try him out. -
[ QUOTE ]
Thanks for all your suggestions, I actually think I might go for Illusion/Storm. I like Illusion but it seems to lack in hard control, so I thought storm might make up for some of the control illusion lacks.
I also thikn it might be alot of fun to play, lots if chaos
[/ QUOTE ]
Nice. Lots and lots of chaos
Get Deceive. Don't make the mistake I did and skip it, its wonderful. -

Anyone know the score, out of curiousity. I know I ended up kebabed on SinghMC's sword 3 or 4 times at least.

23-4

4 is honourable, right? -
Great little match. Although ye swamped us at the start I think we restored a little honour towards the end.

Hmm saturday wont work for me unless its really late, and sunday evening there is the king of the hill tourney match afaik.. Other than that Im fine. What about sunday about noon-ish?
And I will also show up tonight just in case.
[/ QUOTE ]
Thats fine with me. I'll let everyone else choose though.
Here's all the times I can do, for reference. As I said I don't mind being subbed. But it looks like a balanced fight on paper and I'd like to do Battle of the Stormies round 2 with Psy.
All BST
Friday 19:00 - 20:00
Saturday 11:00 - 17:00
Sunday 11:30 - 14:00, 20:00+
Monday 19:00+
So Sunday morning is fine, although chances are I'll be hung over and grumpy -
[ QUOTE ]
Im fine with that as long as it doesnt overlap weekend..
[/ QUOTE ]
I'm flexible here. Happy to do tomorrow from 7 until 9 or Monday 7 onwards. I promise I won't go double-booking myself this time.
But if theres no agreement or someone doesn't know about the change play it this evening guys. This is 200% my own fault. -
Fire / Kin is low defenses. So early on, when things like Air Sup are more useful you'll be taking a lot of aggro without the debuffs to survive it. You'll be a pseudo regen, using Transfusion to survive. Actually even if you take Air Sup & Flurry its Hotfeet and Containment that does most of the damage. And once you get Imps you won't be needing two melee attacks really. So I'd go for just one & Hotfeet. Still in melee range but an AOE monster instead with the Hold + Air Sup combo for single target damage.
-
AAAH. No. I've just realised I've promised my girlfriend we'd go to dinner this evening. I'll be divorced if I say "no, can't. Playing PC games" again.
I'm gonna have to withdraw totally folks. I'm really sorry.
Anyone eliminated / itching for a fight from the Forums want to sub?
* Edit: Dang. I am going out like that -
So is Thursday (today) still the day for 3vP? I'm not losing another life over missed matches. No sirree bob. I ain't going out like that.
-
It'd have to be blasts really, as Chaplin says its the only common thing about all defenders.
Def / Res boost would probably be the best. Maybe a single target one.
What might be nice (but never happen) is if the boost was Set related somehow. Maybe not as obvious as "You make a super-powered FF" since you are already providing good protection but something like a AOE Debuff shield, something that complements the set. Empathy might give an ally something like the Psychic Drain Doms have, Kinetics might give them a "null shield" that blocks Kinetic attacks (cue lots of Matrix wannabes with Bullets stopping in front of them) etc.
