Aye, I'm 3recharge, 3def at the moment on mine too. I may shift to 3 recharge, 2 def, 1 endmod for PvPing with/if I'm fighting smaller mobs.

To be perfectly honest, I feel largely redundant when teaming with the missus on her stalker as my brute - mobs are dead before I get a chance to get build up fury, so I'm left to using build up, energy transfer and total focus, and playing as a heavy stalker. (as I'm /EA). The only time I'm really needed is for dual spawn mobs, or for acting as a meatshield against EB/AVs.
Stalkers are easy to play badly, I guess, which causes the perception problems of their use to teams. -
I don't think that they need that big a tweak - a slight upward bump to hp, so they fall in between scrappers and blasters, and increase the chance to crit on mezzed foes - thus making dominators and stalkers more useful in one fell swoop. No dominator on the team? The stalker has a bit more survivability to encourage them to scrap it out a bit. Dominator on the team? Stalker goes nuts at the extra criticals, and pumps out some serious damage out of hide, again, encouraging them to stay in the thick of it with the extra safety of slightly higher hp.

Without getting involved in the original topic, the way the board software works is that if a post is deleted, all replies to that post are also deleted, whether they contravened the rules or not. If you have an issue with your posts being removed, please email Bridger (the moderator of the boards), rather than railing against a tyrannical regime that you have imagined, as it certainly doesn't actually exist.

You are very AoE heavy - Fireball, Rain, Fire Breath, which is great for teams, but not so hot for soloing (especially as all of those are pretty endurance heavy)
Cycling Fireblast and Blaze should be ok to see you through at a reasonable rate, but you might want to consider taking Blazing Bolt as a swap for one of your AoEs (personally I never got on with fire breath, but YMMV).
Failing that, switch the recharge in Fireball for an end red, and use your slots at 39 to put end reds in your AoEs. -

Big gratz Infy - would have loved to have been there, but PC problems and Blind/Quilty working on their 50 ding on villains conspired against me.

Gah, hit and run stalkers. Such a waste of EM's potential. Telestriking is cool, and can work very well with practice, but just seems like a criminal waste of the strengths of EM. If you were ninja blade, or claws, then sure.
Get aidself. No matter how much defence you have, blasters will still hit you with BU + Aim (or BU+TD+Tactics for /dev stalker hunters), so you may as well get yourself a power that will keep you in the fight longer for both PvE and PVP. -
Mr Tomato, I'd like you to meet Mr. Tomahto.
It really does make no difference whether you see blaster holds/controller holds as Mag 2 or Mag 3, providing you apply the same numbers consistently - i.e a standard hold will take 2 applications to hold a boss, whether blaster, corruptor, controller, dominator or epic/patron hold.
Total Focus will pretty much always stun a boss in one hit. Sometimes it doesn't, but it always stuns minions and lts in one go. That's all anyone actually needs to know. -
Some very nice little movie making tircks used there. Especially liked the credits, and the motion blur used at the start.
Unfortunately, the base itself was a bit bland - but you did a good job making it look as good as possible.
Would love to see what you can do with an action movie. -

Just the ability to not get bored from constantly pressing the SB button
In my 8 ish hour stint yesterday, I figure I dished out something close to 1000 speed boosts (although that is probably erring on the side of caution), and teleported 20 or so heroes to safety.
I'd prefer anyone who makes a toon for this to just consider if they actually want to play a kin defender. If so, just fitting recall friend into the build before 12, then SB at 12 and you are ready to go, and the toon will still be playable. Give it a proper name too - no Taxibot or such like, unless you have always dreamed of being a desperado minicab driver, putting the world to rights one fare at a time that is!
Then all you need to do is wander down to the Hollows and watch George in action - see if you fancy it.
A big shout out too to the empaths who were patrolling last night too. -
A big thank you to all the heroes who supported my first shift on taxi and speedboost duty in the hollows this evening.
George the Taxi will be appearing from time to time in the Hollows, providing speedboost to everyone entering the zone via the atlas gate, and tp to the gate. As I outlevel the zone, I'll be offering such yummy treats as Inertial Reduction, TP to mission door, and an awaken delivery service, in addition to slapping transfusion on when I can.
You'll be able to tell if I'm in the zone by my occasional broadcast spam binds - I'll try and keep them interesting! If you want a tp, send a tell to George the Taxi, or join the InstaCab global channel, then invite me to your team.
Anyone who fancies doing the odd shift, there is the InstaCab SG, and I'll be happy to sort something out, as George is an occassional alt, away from my home server, so coverage will be patchy. EA dramatically increases how tough your ice tank will feel, same with SOs slotted. I've only got hasten currently on mine, and happily solo on the one under Invincible, and tank against +4s in a team situation - using EA, hoarfrost and the damage mitigation of aoe'ing the hell out of things to survive.
Personally, I'd ditch the fighting pool. It's numerically superior, but hasten, EA, aidself and hoarfrost, with hibernate for the really rocky moments will be more than good enough to tank sensible opposition. (i.e. if you are tanking +5s, turn down the rep!) -
I tried to make a build for my ice/fire with fighting pool, leaping, aidself and fitness - it would be incredibly defensively sound, but also incredibly dull.
Sticking with my aoe of doomsicle build. I'll die more, but I'll have fun doing itMight get aidself though, although no rush.

Ooh, a toughie this one.
On mine, I went Hasten and SS for initial travel power, with CJ at 30 (might be getting SJ later, don't know yet).
Hasten definitely increases your survivability, as hoarfrost and energy absorption are back that much quicker, which makes you a) harder to kill, and b) able to stack EA for extra defence/endurance recovery.
From looking at Dr.Rock's handy Damage spreadsheet doohickey, you get the most survivability from having CJ, tough, weave and aid self, compared to CJ, tough, weave and hasten. My initial thought, to ditch tough and weave and get hasten and aidself was much worse in terms of survivable incoming damage per second.
Only concern for me would be that tough, weave, and aidself all ideally need lots of slots (tough 3end, 3dam res, weave 3end, 3 def, aidself 2intred, 2 heal, 2 recharge) that would impact your ability to slot any of your attacks other than ET and TF.
Hmmm. Icicles would complicate things - as it is another 6 slotter, like Energy Absorption, but could give you some nice damage output, while you focus on taunting.
Might have to rework my build a little now... -
Ignore this lot, and do it anyway! You've got a pet kin, you get boxing at 8 on my build, so use brawl and boxing to generate fury, then unleash hammer time. The J-Pop version.
Actually, scratch that idea. -

I'd probably do things slightly differently, but should be a good combo, that hits extremely hard, especially useful for big bads.
Rejigged the order of some stuff around - early level stuff revolves around boxing on auto, and the mallets, then unleashing seismic smash at full fury - this probably needs an end red, even with all the end management tools at your disposal.
Into the 20s, you get a lot sturdier with tough, and a self heal. The 30s bring your damage aoe, powersink and conserve power for proper end management, and powersurge for silly resistances. Into the 40s, you add lightning reflexes for improved recharge, which you can now afford end wise, lightning field for additional damage/aggro control, build up for those EB/AV fights, and finally taunt, for additional fun.
Should be pretty damn tasty.

All the fun of an empath defender, but with a) superior invisibility/group invisibility, b) spectral terror, c) PA for fire and forget additional damage/making targeting more difficult for the opposition, d) spammable hold is far more useful than weedy defender blasts for when you aren't forting/CMing/healing, e) containment damage all helps.
An illupath is a dangerous thing in the right hands.
