  1. I have Defenses near the soft cap, and with a few enemies around, surpass it. I have SL near scrapper cap. Good regen and recovery. I am not a rich character, but if you see something you think can help, let me know.
  2. Seeing as I just finally started to get the hang and use mids after 6 years, I used Sentinel to DL what my main has. Since he is also a DM/INV, I thought I would post it here since you all have given such great recommendations.

  3. Im going with Necrotech and Airhammer. I ran the arc on all but one of my 50's so far (so 6 of them are open) , and I have been working 6-7 days 60+ hours a week plus hanging with a real-life actual cute girl. (Hey its been years, and I'm enjoying it, sue me :-)

    Anyway, I figure I might as well open the slot on 50's when I can. Last night I saw some people looking to team for it, since Trapdoor got "harder" with the last patch. I have solod him with scrapper and tank but teamed for others. I knew no matter what, that I was not going to try to solo Trapdoor with my emp defender (one of the two toons that had not done it) so I jumped on my emp and the arc was over in a few minutes on a full team.

    While I am concentrating on running TF's for shards with my scrapper main, sometimes we might a different AT or something, then I can jump on a different character and they can at least get shards for doing it. Might as well open them all just in case.
  4. Unfortunately I just re-upped my subscriptions after the free weekend a couple months ago. From what I hear VirtueUnited is full, so I am stuck with VU2010 until something changes.

  6. I started with a group (10-12) characters made around ideas I have always had, or ideas that a particular powerset combo inspired me. Then I started creating a backstory and I found a couple heroes here and there in my bunch would combine into a themed type team, which inspired more heroes to jump out that would fill out some of the themes. I also had a one-man SG and two accounts at the time so I decided to make heroes utilizing all the powersets at least once, etc and fitting them into the theme teams, then started fitting characters to them.

    Now that I have come back to the game and can have villian AT's heroside, I have updated my plan to include them.

    My plan now calls for 86 heroes (yea I will have to get a third account, darn :-p ). Broken down into 12 7-man themed teams and my main hero and his signiciant other.

    Each team has three support toons (Controller, Defender, Corruptor, or Mastermind) each has debuffing and some healing included. Each has a tank or a strong brute, etc.

    Each of the themes has a backstory and a connection with my main (some more fleshed out than others). Only 50 of these characters have actually been MADE yet. Some have names/ideas of them but have not been made, and some are just powerset combos that need a lot of fleshing out yet.

  7. Yea, and they also have to have it in stock. It is not a high volume game so you might not find it in most walmarts at any price.

    I will ask a somewhat related question here to avoid a new topic.

    If you purchase GR to start an additional count, do you still get the +2 extra server slots to allocate to whichever server you wish? Want to know if I will have 12 or 14 slots for my main server when I purchase.
  8. Yea I have no complaints at all. Though I REALLY liked someones suggestion getting 5 slots at level 50 (so you could six slot the last power) and would also give two more slots overall to help in the new slot crunch with inherent fitness. Im fine without but would jump for joy if they did it.
  9. I have a quite a few Candy Canes left over from last year. Is there a best time to sell these (it seems RIGHT as the event starts is when demand is the highest). Just checking with the ebil overlords for a more professional opinion. :-)

    I did the same. Bought two accounts before expanded slots. So when we could expand slots, what did I do. I just made MORE characters. (insert evil laugh). Now that we can bring villian AT's to blueside, I have 80+ characters that I want all to be in my virtue HG (for storage and transportation).

    So I will be purchasing my third account here shortly. :-(

  12. Actually, last night I logged on two alts that could not start the arc, and did not have many open arcs.

    One had the O-portal, but the other didn't (and just the one opened by the first) I could not start the arc until he got the explore badge at the top of the Oro building.

    but my stormie could not start the arc either, and she had the portal. However, she must have unlocked it from a mission or something, because she did not have the Oro explore badge either, and when she got that, she could talk to Rameil.
  13. My lvl 50 DM/INV scrapper was easy. Got rid of Super Jump (Ninja Jump btw) so I had 4 powers I could pick up. SJ had two slots, so that gave me one extra slot to use in my new powers. I dropped CJ from 3 slots to 2.
    I took one slot from dark consumption. Had 3 Olbits and two Efficiancy Adadpers in it. Switched to 4 Oblits. Actually got a bigger health bonus and saved a slot. I sacrificed how much end I get back, but if I hit enough targets, it does not matter, and I do not have big end problems anyway, its just a backup.

    Switched from dark mastery (Just had the hold and blast) and got fire mastery instead. Got the hold, the blast, the ranged AOE, and the AOE debuff. Had an extra slot I really didnt need in the blast and hold powers, so I freed them up.

    Also picked up stealth and manuvers. Did not slot them up heavy though. Do not run them all the time as most of the time my def is enough, but they are there for a little boost in bad situations.
  14. I have 8 50's and all should eventually unlock it. Running them through the arc is not that bad. Now how much I will play any given one so that they get enough to actually craft and use the slot, who knows.

    I see it this way, as long as they are unlocked they can earn shards (if they are fighting the right content) so why NOT unlock the slot so that if I play a fifty at fifty, they can at least get the rewards and if they get enough shards, then they will craft.
  15. While I am sure gold sellers farm in the AE, they would probably not be looking for a team, they pretty much do thier own thing. Most farms would be for people leveling, presumably people with a ton of alts doing some quick leveling. That was most of the people I met during the recent AE craze.

    Now though, there may not be as much of it, since they supposedly fixed the one exploit and a lot of people are playing thier 50's.
  16. I have yet to successfully log out to the character select screen, either account, whether I am running one or both, etc. The only 'benefit' to me is to keep from having to re-enter my password.

    There were a lot of times Pre-I19 that I would get that same message after logging out to login and entering my stuff back in. So i am not suprised.
  17. In my pre-I19 build on my DM/INV I went with dark mastery and just had the hold (for sappers, but rarely used because no damage) and the dark blast for a little range (for runners, etc.)

    With new powers to pick, I went with Blaze instead and got the hold (with minimal DOT damage so more useful), the blast, the Fireball (little AOE never hurt) and melt armour (aoe debuff is great) Also picked up manuvers and dropped Superjump (ninja run + inherent fitness FTW) and picked up stealth.

    Was starting to have actual end usage. I was not running OUT, but actually down to half bar once but used dark consumption then. So im not worried. However, I turned off manuvers and stealth and end use was fine. not alot of defense out of it considering I was 40% Energy, 36% S/L defense with no one in range of invincibility without them. Might keep them for special situations when I need a tad extra defense, as stealth has some uses other than just as defense and manuvers can help the entire team. But I might look at taking something else if there is even anything else worth taking.

    My thinking is I COULD go body mastery and get Phys perfection, but then lose ranged AOE, the debuff, and the hold all of which I find useful.

  19. To be honest, I could get use out of the radial boost on all four trees on my main (DM/Inv Scrap) But that is a lot of time, especially when I have several other 50's and DOZENS of lower alts. All screaming for Playtime.

    While he is my Main, my namesake character, my heart and joy, I never play him as much. I have a 50 fire/kin I use for pl'ing low alts up some (not as necessary with inherent fitness) and I do the lvl 50 TF's mostly with my Ill/Rad because they get picked up and are very useful.

    Ok I will attempt this for you. Got to use that Math Degree I paid so much for.

    If you currently have 15.5% Defense to FCEN and 59% enhancement in it already that gives you around 24.65% Defense to FCEN.

    Now WITH the Nerve Radial Boost. (Which is what I assume you want to slot)
    If you are at 59% enhancement AFTER ED, then you definitely over 60% Pre-ED. 13.3% of the 20% Radial enhancement is under ED, which means you only get 15% of that, for a total of about 2% enhancement. (Still not defense). Then other 6.7% is post-ED. That is 8.7% Extra enhancement for a total of 59+8.7= 67.7%
    67.7% enhancement of 15.5% is 26%

    So it looks like About 1.35% increase to defense. Course that is just THAT power any other defense powers will be increased, and not counting the Accuracy bonueses.

    Someone can check me to make sure I did that right. Hope it helps.
  21. Still have not figured out which one I will get first on my main. I have the same build except for adding stealth and manuvers for more defense. I have NO end issues now, with all three health procs and set bonuses. I also have dark consumption for rare occasions I run low. But with two new toggles running who knows. I also am only at 70% SL resists. and energy and elements so resist boosts would help some too. Maybe not much, but some.

    Accuracy with defense boosts would be good. I have several defense powers that would all get alittle boost. I pretty much softcap in a crowd and get near 40% to most against even 1-2 targets. That could put me over the top but may not be needed. Is more accuracy needed. Maybe not, but might not hurt either.

    The Damage is always welcome, but the defense debuff would only help melt armour, so do not know how good that would be. Now when we get the rarer ones, the Musclature Radial Paragon has mostly useful bonuses. ENd mod, to hit debuff (I am dark melee) and even run speed all help SOME.

    SO I am just not sure what I want to do yet.

    I did because I missed Ramiel, thought that was the echo I just defeated laying there. I could not find Ramiel, so I went swimming looking for more things to beat on. Tried to target the arms.

    I ran it on my DM/INV scrapper. Only had a problem with Trapdoor because I did not know it was his clones that gave him regen. Then he got stuck BELOW the lave, and I could target but not hit him (even with blast APP power). saw the lava numbers coming up but it was not enough to overcome his Regen.
    Had to reset the mission and run it again, this time I pulled him into the hall and beat him down OK.

    Pulled Holtz, beat him down, though it was tough even as an EB. Managed to do the front two portals WITHOUT disturbing Honoree. Then pulled him back and ( I will admit) used my last Shivan. Hey it was late and I had to work this morning. :-)

    It does not affect IO Set bonuses AT ALL. It acts as extra enhancement to POWERS. It will help powers such as Dull Pain, Siphon Life, Health, Regen powers, etc.
  24. I do not have Midnighter Access to most of my dozens of characters because it is repetitive and boring. So I start with SOME understanding of where the OP is coming from, but then he just kept digging.

    I remember I have run a farm mission 100+ times for the rewards, run Positron dozen of times (the old one) for the rewards, etc. So yea, if you want the rewards you do the mission. Midnigheter access is not something most of my characters need, so I CHOOSE not to do that arc on them all. If I want the Alpha slot unlocked on a certian 50, I will do the arc, even if I have done it 45 times on other characters.
