  1. Arachnos maces for Warmace, tie it to Spider Smasher or an Arachnos pack
    Downsized Titan Weapons concrete hammer
    Downsized Titan Weapons atom smasher

Axe models for Dual Blades, axes have a blade and I want a barbarian berzerker.

As for Axe: A Kopesh, a one-sided legacy Battleaxe, a downsized Titan Weapons flesh axe
  2. Looks alright so far, but I'll agree on having alternate clean versions of the Hockey Mask and Armoured Jeans.

Veeeery happy about finally having a Stop Sign shield though
  3. Combine the two, the opening stance of old Crane Kick, then the one-thousand kicks of Storm Kick! Ship it as a single-target Judgement, quarter of the recharge, double the damage and stupidly high base tohit! I'd use it

  4. I love my robotic/techno characters, but I think these two are my best costume-wise. The Rusty Bolt is effectively a nuclear powered Womble, gathering rubbish and putting it to use, maybe doing some crime fighting should it be in the area. The Big Rig is a suit converted from an auto-show truck, driven by ex-government courier Rodney. He learnt a lot from secret government projects and applied it to his motoring know-how to create a powerful suit which can stand up to even the strongest of villains!
  5. Increase damage of Stun to between Bone Smasher and Total Focus
    Make Total Focus's stun AoE
Change the animation of Energy Transfer to a very fast strike, then recoil from the self damage. Keep the animation the same length, just make it so the damage is out there ASAP then a delay before you can attack again.

    That's what I'd do.

Not sure if serious.. It's a horrible set which is just about passable on Stalkers if only because of their new inherant overpoweredness. Needs buffs, more so than the Medicine and Fighting pools which're getting some questionable (albeit nice) buffs.
  7. For #1 I put forward Strife Support, a play on Life Support because of the suit and I think the character looks like a villain.

For #2 I give you Abyssal Truth, I just think it fits.

For #3 I offer Flying Acrobat, I took the name on Virtue for a time I might want to use it but haven't been able to get an acceptable concept. Still level 1 and free for deletion.

The first two names are currently free and the third will need me to delete him, send me a tell at @Beet if you want Flying Acrobat.
  8. Assuming Heroes and not Villains..

Try to play every contact you get, as many enemy groups as you can find and read as much story as you can handle.

Try and make your temp power list bigger than your primary, secondary and pools combined, invention temps are cheating.

Try and get at least 300 badges from 1-50, don't hunt for them, but don't let up an opportunity to do something crazy which just might gain you that permanent reward.

Stop the Vahzilok Plague, end the Freakalympics and at some point Save a Thousand Worlds. Remember, you're a Hero's Hero.

When you hit level 50, make a new character with a different play style which you're comfortable with and do everything your 50 didn't and even stuff they did because it was fun.

Edit: Find an arc you're enjoying enough to warrant use of the Turn Off XP button so you don't miss anything.
  9. Mister D, not looking for an argument either so no worries I do still play with my friends, it's just that many times now it's been a case of having 5 or 6 people wanting to do the new Holiday even together but of course it's 4 players. Considering the game's been up to 8 players for so many years, I personally would prefer it if an 8 person option was present.

I do like the 4 player dynamic, it's been proven by other games and it works in this one too, I just dislike the lack of choice to have the established norm.
  10. I'd rather be able to play it with my friends. It's kinda fun, y'know?

Of course a happy compromise would be to add seperate trials of The Casino Heist and Time Gladiator. Keep the Heist 4 player, Gladiator bumped to 8. I don't expect anything to change this year for this event, but hopefully future ones can have more options for more players to take part at once. Don't have to take away the 4 player dynamic.
  11. Purely on a CoX standpoint, my favourite things in the game are coming up with brand new characters and every step of doing such. Finding untaken names is fun, getting the costume just right without repeating myself and then putting them to power sets which just feel *right* for the character. Then I like to think big, I love manipulating the system and coming up with the best builds possible, not just for my characters but for whoever's needs help or just takes my fancy. I like to break the game with maths!

Unrelated to the game which keeps me going, I have to say that my friends are the real driving force to keep my sub going. Teaming, roleplaying, chatting and beating the odds through teamwork and superior firepower.

Few other games you can strong arm into making you powerful IMO.
  12. Disagreed, I have more than 3 friends. It's a nice try at a new system, but I would like to see it changed so that you can have a minimum of 4 players but still go with 8. Maybe add a badge for only completing with 4 so you can retain the closer gameplay aspect, but I find it quite frustrating to have enough friends for a full 8 (or 7, or 6) team but it's locked out at only allowing 4 at a time, especially considering how useful the rewards are and that (as far as I'm aware) this event is only temporary.
  13. Rise of the Phoenix.

    That is all.
  14. Likely bug fixes.

Secretly hope it's an as-yet unannounced crossover with Valve, those things are cropping up in all sorts of places.

I think the best you're going to get is axes for dual blades. Let's just hope whatever the new costume bundle is includes axes.
Don't have to change the animation time to make faster movements in the attack animation. Some of the alternate punches for Martial Arts looks pretty fast, but don't alter the animation duration.

I'd just like to see alternate daintier/acrobatic/show-offy animations for Axe and Mace, as well as axes for Dual Blades. I want an acrobatic axe-wielder for a modern version of a classic/stereotypical pirate and dual axes for a barbarian character.
  17. No axes for Dual Blades.

Want axes for Dual Blades and faster/more acrobatic attack animation options for Battle Axe, War Mace and Broadsword.
  18. Darnit Mako, at least break up with your first girlfriend officially before chasing the next! You're making S1-2 Zuko look considerate!

Strongly tempted to do a power-by-power evaluation of Electric Blast versus Fire Blast
Not a fair comparison since Fire only has damage, so it's pretty much always going to do more damage.

A better one would be Radiation or (Blaster's) Dark Blast IMO. AoE DoT, a single target mez, a debuff secondary effect and thoughts of their damage also being sub-par (Not saying it is, just that I've met some who think that). I already know the answer though, they do more damage while adding more support. If you can prove me wrong then go ahead.

There are three sets which I'll always try to see about getting fixes for. Electrical Blast, Devices and Forcefield. Yes they can work as powersets, but they have been the victims of poor design choices (Low damage for a non-existant secondary effect, repetitive waiting times for what are considerably slow results and the decision of having multiple ways to annoy melee characters on what's already a passive one-trick-pony set). I leave out the usual choice of Energy Melee because while having it's own flaws, I think that what it does do it actually does quite well.

Personally I'd give Tesla Cage the same damage as Lightning Bolt, increase and make the damage of Short Circuit front-loaded like Burn, and give Voltaic Sentinel's attack a chain effect. If that's not enough then change the secondary effect of the ST attacks to an unenhanceable, short duration (6 seconds?) mag 1 tesla cage hold to give extra utility against single targets.

Though a little off topic, on Devices make Time Bomb like Omega Maneuver and add a short duration placate to Smoke Bomb. With Forcefields, make Repulsion Field knockdown, add some -dam and enhanceable -def to Repulsion Bomb and put some defense debuff resistance in Dispersion Bubble. Having played these sets a little more than I'm happy with, these are the changes I think would go a long way to evening the playing field.
  20. Looking forward to seeing the ST damage my Fire/Devices can pull off, might finally make me invest in the full recharge and damage build (3 second 560 damage Blaze and 4 second 635 damage Blazing Bolt ~/o/ )
  21. CoT Demon Minions added as level 10+ Hellion Bosses
CoT Ghost Lieutenants added as level 10+ Skull Bosses
    Nemesis Fake Hero/Villain automoton Bosses
Weapon Platform Freak Tanks, minigun right hand, rocket launcher left hand, bayonette on the rocket launcher
    Broadsword/Shield, Titan Weapons/WP and Archery/SS Warrior Bosses
Clockwork Timepieces, a large Clockwork construct with a scrap top hat. Electric Assault/Time Manipulation Boss
Meat Doctors added as level 15+ Vahzilok Bosses
Riktified dogs added to the Lost as lieutenants, the homeless gotta have a friend, right?

    Shield/Stone?

If you're not willing to go the usual routes for softcap, then Stone Melee is one of the better sets to go with tbh. The combination of Fault and Seismic Smash for CC may as well double your survivability, they're really good. To get the most out of it though, taking Hover isn't going to do you well since Fault can't be used in the air (Last I saw anyhow) and that's just crippling the character. Remember, Combat Jumping can be taken without Super Jump and is a relatively non-evasive visual effect, plus the in-combat maneuverability can save lives.

As for why would you six-slot Build Up, well keep in mind that Shield Defense is along similar lines to Fiery Aura, it's a very aggressive and damaging armour set. By six slotting Build Up for Gaussian's, you're gaining the positional defense you need, having a fast recharging Build Up plus the chance for Build Up proc making some juicy damage numbers. Shield Charge will be your baby, Against All Odds will keep you warm at night and super-slotted Build Up is the icing on the cake.

Shield/Stone can be a beast of a character so long as you treat it right. You'll have great CC, a high Single Target attack chain plus one of the best AoEs in the game with Shield Charge on top of easily softcapped defenses, +hp, minor resistance and a scaling damage buff. If you're looking for a defense based Tanker, I might suggest going Shield/MA though, you can softcap with SOs from 22 if you take the bells and whistles from power pools so it'd be minimal work to softcap without Fighting thus leaving lots of room for customisation, you can even run Hover and look awesome doing it without neglecting your powers.
