Heh, my bad. I've considered this in the past, but I could never bring myself to drop more favorable pools.

Traps is a up in front of the battle lines type of build. Rad works nice because it has the AOEs, no Knock backs and nice debuffs that sit well with Traps.
On top of this you get defense cap.
You might not want to be an AV/GM killer but you will be.
I have two immobs I can stop an AV with, not so much on a GM. -

It's a toss up between my traps/sonic def, fire/cold corr and my BS/SD scrap. All very fun.

Power that are Specifically for control are generally ranged yes, but MANY melee powers have a control effect to them.
A mez is a mez, no matter if it came from that Freakshow Stunner's Tesla Cage, or that Slammer's %Chance to stun you with his hammer attack.

You're only complaining about cones. I find that funny as someone that's been playing a long time. Do you just hate cones?
There's nothing wrong with a cone if you stick and move, unless you don't slot for acc, then it's your problem.
I find a lot of people in game want to stand in one place and attack. Guess what, you're not gonna hit the maximum number of targets without setting it up!
I don't mind cones at all, as I play aggressive, and I'm willing to move into a good position for max effect.
You limit yourself by your lack of flexibility.
If you want to stand still, roll a melee toon!
I'm not saying all cones are good, I'm just saying you have work sometimes
If you have problems with cones, don't blame it on lag, ungrade to a better ISP.
And you're not complaining about any other lag than with cones, that's wierd.

Sure Sonic, FF and Traps will be fine but you can't create an archtype with the knowledge that it is only useful with a couple of very limited combinations. The devs create ATs like that by accident, never on purpose.
Support have been doing this for a long time. Mez is ranged most of the time.
If you want buff/debuff you're gonna have to give something up. -

Over powered on teams

I've moved 4 IOd 50s so far. I like having something to play end game content with. I haven't played my new rolls much as of now, but I'm still trying to get a feel as to if I like being here.
I'm a speed team player and I've joined the most populated channels. It's hit and miss so far, but I have come across some very good players that keep me upbeat about V.I.P.!
I've been thinking from the start that V.I.P would be a great gathering place for the old farts of the game to team together on one united server. -
Given that FF has no debuffs, and Sonic does, I'd call it a wash. Not that they both couldn't use looking at. There are plenty of threads that point out their flaws (As well as TA).
To compare defense to resist is kinda silly. Most people build for defense, so I'd think a sonic would be greatly valued at any level given how common a defense AT is to find.
Anyone that knows the game loves a sonic, despite the shortcomings of the set.

Heh, I was on a BAF today where the leader, once we zoned, went AFK for the duration of it. At one point a few others in the league pointed out that this person does so on a regular basis.
We need a leader rep in the game. Maybe where there's a team vote after TF's/SF's, and trials. Just a thought. The majority of the team would decide a + or - point or nothing for the leader rep.

As long as you've been playing you should know by now people don't like replying to someone that doesn't even take the time to post something as a starting point. Most people don't like doing all your work for you.
Edit: Besides, all you have to do is search the treads. Not like it's hard to find them. -

It slipped my mind in my first post, but I also noticed an even bigger problem when dual boxing. When doing so, the game, on either client, would become totally unplayable. Since dropping to 11.4 the game is very stable and fluid on both clients, boxing is back, no problems at all.
