One thing I learn when using +1 and 2 to fuel SD is you don't when any Chief Mentalist so I would kill them before I would start on the pylon, I also killed Chief Mesmerist too.
Chief Mentalist have Dominate which would hit me a lot. Once I took out the Chief Mentalist it was a lot better. I still die some but not as much as I did. -

Quote:It was bugged on test too Zombie Man even bugged it.Hey um.. Castle.. sorry to make things worse here but... now that the prompt is back... its bugged
whenever you receive a buff your character goes through the animation of sending one

Quote:This.I'm surprised more people aren't annoyed by this issue and are instead continuing the pointless debate about the prompt itself. Oh wait, I'm not.
This whole rooting animation when accepting the buff issue needs to be fixed...preferably soon. And preferably, but not necessarily, with the prompt matter solved with a dialog that can be set to 'auto-accept'.
The prompt is bad but the rooting animation needs to be fixed and if anything that is what the OP is talking about. Not that the prompt is back but that you are NOW rooted when you accept. Which if you play a /Regen can get you killed real quick. -
Quote:When they move to the new forums they made it the same info as you log in to the game with. So if you can log in to the forum then you can log in to the game, if you can log in to the game then you can log in the the forums.I tried that, though my username here is different from the username NCsoft says my game account is. And I vaguelly remember using the latter when I last played.
Just use the same User name and password that you are using here and that should log you in. -
As other have said wiki as all the info but here is the thread I think you were talking about.

Quote:According to CastleFully disagree with this.
There is one obvious ranged blast (second to last one), the rest don't look like they have more than the typical 7' range anyway (excluding the PBAoE and cone, those may be different).Quote:Most of it's attacks are standard melee range. -
I would say Dark Melee/Shield Defense too. It can do some crazy DPS with great survivable. Also the best part about DM/SD is you still have ok AoE because of Shield Charge
-
Quote:Your numbers are a little off.Incinerate (+204% recharge, 2.90 seconds) -> Cremate (+134%, 3.03) -> Fire Sword (+69%, 3.56). Here's the comparison between your current chain, that chain, and the top DPS chain:
Cremate ACT=1.716
Fire Sword ACT=1.584
So Incinerate would need to recharge in 3.3 seconds
Incinerate ACT=1.848
Fire Sword ACT=1.584
So Cremate would need to recharge in 3.432 seconds
You had the right +recharge just not the right amount of time it needed to recarge in. -
Quote:All of that attacks look fine till The attack at 22s. If you don't want to look the toon is spinning his hands in front of him. With a shield on his arm he would be hitting himself with the shield over and over again. Now they could use a different animations for this power but till they say other wise I'm going to think you can not pair it with shields.Other sets use two-handed animations just fine with Shields. Fire Melee, Super Strength, Energy, Electrical & Dark Melee all have two-handed animations. I think as long as there is not an 'object' in the shield hand, it'll work perfectly fine with Shields.

Quote:That is assuming that Kinetic melee goes with Shields76 would be correct. 10 primaries (with Kinetic Melee) * 8 secondaries = 80. Remove the 4 that are precluded by Shield Defense, and you're left with 76.
I have yet to see the Devs say it will go with Shields and looking at the video it is using two hands a stuff and looks like it would be a problem if pair with Shields.

Quote:I will agree with the Armageddon proc would be better in Whirling Sword but not the FoTG proc. My reason is with the FoTG proc you can hit more people but you really don't know who the people are. So you might never get any good use of the proc. And you really want the FoTG for the Harder Targets anyways so puting it in an AoE is not the best place to put it IMO.I dunno, wouldn't the Armageddons and the FotG proc be better in Slice (or whatever the cone is called, I forget) or Whirling Sword?
I know you want to make the most of Headsplitter, but I think you'd get better use of the procs in an AoE where they can hit more targets with greater frequency.
If you still want to put a Chance for Res Debuff in an AoE you can also put in Achille's Heel in Whirling Sword.
Quote:I'd probably put 5 Obliterations in Headsplitter (all but damage as with Werners Geddons suggestion) and something else in the 6th slot depending on the rest of your build. An end rdx if you've got end problems, another damage proc if you don't.
I argee with Werner it really depends on your build and what your looking for. But the best IMO is Armageddons (all but damage) and a Fury of the Gladiator proc, that is what I put in Headsplitter, then a full set of Obliterations would be the next best choice. -
according to Bill Z Dark Melee for Brutes does .3 DPS better DPS calculations So it really doesn't matter which one you pick.

with Fire you can run the attack chain of Incinerate<Scorch<Cremate<Scorch, It takes little end and doesn't take a lot of recharge to get, and it still as good DPS. and if you get Conserve Power and Physical Perfection you shouldn't have any endurance issues.
Also with Dark Melee the +end power helps but it will not solve your endurance issues. You will most likely have only one target in range in a fight and it will not fill your end bar with just one in range. Also I don't know what a low recharge attack chain for Dark Melee is but it will most likely use more end then Incinerate<Scorch<Cremate<Scorch.
Both are great to play so you can't go wrong with either of them. -
Most things can go with /SR to make it a AV solo'er, the ones I would stay away from is Broad Sword(Katana is better for AV soloing)Spines, Electrical Melee. It is just matter how much you want to spend. A cheap combo would be Fire/SR. You can get a good attack chain with little rech and takes lettle end to use.
Now The best one I would say is DM/SR. Dark Melee gives you some good tools like Siphon Life which is a great attack and an ok heal. Which will help out a lot in a AV fight. It also has Dark Consumption to give you more end and Soul Drain to give you a great damage buff. -
DM/SR or Kat/wp are great but I would go with fire/SR. It has good AoE to help with the leveling and with just a little rech you can have a great attack chain. Now if you want to solo AV with no insp then you will need to get aid self but if your ok to do it with Insp I don't think you will find a cheaper Scrapper combo that could solo AVs.
-
Well just looked at it and your missing one of the best powers for Dual Blades, Blinding Feint. If you want to solo AVs you should really take this power. It adds to your tohit and gives you +Damage. It will help out your DPS a lot a make AV soloing a lot easier. Also for AV soloing or an all around build I would Drop Elude, It would just get you killed in an AV fight, and you don't need it when you get to the soft cap for Defense.
With the slots you have it is going to be hard to make a good AV solo build. Some powers like Agile, Dodge, and lucky have too many slots, you only need 3 slots in them. Another things that would make it cheaper is to take the Fighting pool and take tough and weave. It will make it easier to get to the soft cap so you don't need to spend a lot of inf on some of the high price sets.
The one thing you should be going for with an AV solo build or an All around Build is try and get to the Soft cap. You really should have it for an AV solo build but for an all around build it is just nice to have. So your looking and sets that have +Range, AoE, Melee Defense.
