Ive been wanting a /SR scrapper for some time now, but never got around to it.. so..

When my current project (sonic/mental blaster) hits 50 and gets IOd out.. Im gonna make a scrapper.. that is SR.. but I was wondering..

What does good with /SR that makes it a AV solo'er?

Most things can go with /SR to make it a AV solo'er, the ones I would stay away from is Broad Sword(Katana is better for AV soloing)Spines, Electrical Melee. It is just matter how much you want to spend. A cheap combo would be Fire/SR. You can get a good attack chain with little rech and takes lettle end to use.

Now The best one I would say is DM/SR. Dark Melee gives you some good tools like Siphon Life which is a great attack and an ok heal. Which will help out a lot in a AV fight. It also has Dark Consumption to give you more end and Soul Drain to give you a great damage buff.

I concur that DM is probably the way to go. While I've soloed plenty of AVs with my claws/sr, having a self-heal as part of my attack chain would have allowed me to take down many more.

Be well, people of CoH.

This.

My Fire/SR was my first AV-soloer oriented toon and I didn't have a ton of cash to start with. If inf is tight, go Fire/SR. If you have some fundage for +recharge, then go DM/SR, as DM's top attack chain includes SL so you can skip Aid Self and do more DPS.
