It'll be based off of their original resistance.
So with two 30% resistance debuffs, damage would come out to be:
1 * (1 + (0.3 + 0.3)) = 1.6 or +60%
And not:
1 * (1 + 0.3) * (1 + 0.3) = 1.69 or +69%
EDIT: In other words, they're additive, not multiplicative. -
This is the gist of Ultionis's bio. He's a Dark/Dark/Dark Defender. He was born with the ability to manifest and control negative energy, so the Council kidnapped him (and yes, killed his parents... I like cliches) and for years used him as a generator to help fuel their Vampyri experiments. The pain was excruciating and basically destroyed him physically and mentally. Some time later, the Council had plans to create a new kind of super-soldier with immense power, and decided he would be the perfect candidate. He could already control negative energy, strike fear in his opponents, and had a mind that was utterly broken and easy to bend to their whims. So they genetically modified him, practically re-engineering him from the ground up. As his body grew stronger, so did his mind, and he slowly remembered his past. He escaped and vowed vengeance against his captors (naturally). For months he prowled the night in Striga, until a group of heroes came to investigate what had been lurking there. They were The NightShift (our SG on Victory), and for Ultionis, things would never be the same after that night.
That's really about my only tragic bio. -
For some people, that is fun. There are days I'll just sit at my computer for hours and plan builds that may or may not ever see the light of day. Some people like to mercilessly slaughter enemies over and over again for maximum reward generation. Some like to read the stories, and some like to just hang out and chat with their friends. Fun is whatever you enjoy doing.

Yeah, I've had zero issues on my Shield/WM. But I'm always attacking, so there's an extra variable. I've had to ease up on TF's when I was the lower-level off-tank to avoid stealing aggro from the main tank.

The mystique! It's broken! Nooooo!
*Turns off toggles, throws self onto spawn of Vanguard Sword* -
AAO originally only had a RttC-level taunt built into it. Don't remember when this was changed, but it was some time ago. (EDIT: Can't find it in patch notes, so may have happened during I13 beta.)

Yes, now that you mention it, I believe so. It's the same for War Mace. You step forward with your right foot and point your mace at the foe, then step backwards and beat it against your shield. It's pretty badass.
-
The only other animation difference I know offhand is Brawl. Rather than a right-or-left hand punch, you either hit them with your shield (looks sweet) or kick them. My SD character is War Mace, and to my knowledge the animations are the same.

I'll try to make it... need Vanguard pieces for my tanker. If needed, I should also be able to lead a team.

Admittedly the rest of the train laughed and applauded, I probably should feel bad about it but why, oh why, do you lot have one of your many accents where everything ends in a question, IT MAKES ME WANT TO STRANGLE YOU IN YOUR SLEEP!

Everybody should stop this foolishness! Who cares who gets the last spot? Aren't we all mature enough to not care about such trivial things?
EDIT: Last post -
Just send that clumsy intern into the server room. He'll have it offline in no time.
EDIT: Denied! -
So does that mean the two of you will be reading my posts again?

10 inf says when the new forums open, there's no Victory subsection, just another Virtue forum specifically for talking about furry little animals or something.
EDIT: Oh, and I'll catch you on the flip side. -
Yar, using Windows 7 x64 RC Build 7100. Encountering no issues with hotkeys and such.

I'd want to say that this thread was a not so subtle jab at me, but then I'd be accused of being a narcissist for thinking that EVERYTHING is about me.
Oh wait, I am and I do...
...well, [censored].

*Sings* You're so vain, you probably think this thread is about you. -

I suppose this means we're gonna have to finally decide on a Horseman of Delay.
Any volunteers?

I'd sign up, but I'd rather have a pony. -
Gotcha. I think the biggest issue with XP x64 is the driver support, so if you can get that all ironed out, I see no reason why CoX wouldn't run on it fine. If you try it, let us know how it worked out.
I did actually have one problem with Windows 7 and CoX for a while. Turned out that when I kicked off my video card driver install and walked away, Windows Update decided my system needed to restart. So I was playing with my drivers half-installed... explained why a GTX 275 was getting 15fps in the game. Good stuff. -
Have you ever been to other game forums? It's always seemed to me that crashing hasn't been as widespread in this game as it has in many others. Fallout 3 comes to mind (I used to crash pretty regularly in that game, but then it was just a game crash and not a total system crash). I also remember a couple of LucasArts games restarting my system on a regular basis, while any other game worked fine. Turned out my PSU was on its way out.
I guess the biggest thing I worry about is that crashing in this or any game may be indicative of some greater problem with a system. But if it's not worth it to you to pursue that, then all I can do is *shrug* and wish you luck. -
I concur. I enjoyed Vista x64 on my gaming rig for about a year, and earlier this month moved to Windows 7 x64. It is smooooooooth.

I use the tag-team of AVG Free and Malwarebytes (free version). They seem to complement each other nicely. I also use Firefox addins like adblock, flash block, and a few others I can't remember at the moment. I've seen some reviews of Malwarebytes' paid real-time protection, and it sounds like it's not worth the money. Makes for a great scanner and removal tool, but not so great at preventing anything.
Personally, I've always despised Webroot's products. I've seen many cases where they don't offer sufficient protection, and absolutely dominate a system's resources. I'm talking 99% CPU utilization for the first five to ten minutes of a computer starting up, and up to 100MB of memory usage. Norton Internet Security doesn't even run that poorly, and it's one of the more maligned programs when it comes to resource hogs. -
1. Most player content, IMO, sucks.
2. I'm looking for the storyline of the game to advance. The Coming Storm, the return of the 5th, the continuing battle against the Rikti... so many story threads left wide open.
I'm still pretty stoked for I16, but I hope they can squeeze in a little more of this story content in the near future. -
