Game is hard crashing my machine.

<ul type="square">[*]CoH Helper - it will show us basic computer settings and your CoH configuration.
[*]HijackThis - it will show us what's running on your computer concurrently with CoH. Click on "Do a system Scan and save a logfile." It will automatically open up Notepad and put the info there. Make sure Wordwrap is off in Notepad (Format > Wordwrap unchecked) before you cut and paste here.

After giving it alot of thought, I've decided the best way to solve this problem is to cancel my CoH account. It has gone beyond being rediculas that I have to put this much work into a game to play it where there are plenty of other games by other companies out there that will run just fine straight out of the box. No patches, no rolling back drivers none of the bull crap I have been putting up with from CoH for far too long.
This message is for the devs out there. Until you get your act together and fix the game to work right, you're not getting my money. The fact that I have had to take advice from the games community to get the game to run at all after all this time is just beyond lazy. I dont care what you have to say about how hard it is to make a game work on certain operation systems or specific machien specs. There are alot more companies out there that do make sure it works on this variety of system specs and that makes them more deserving of being paid for it then you are.
I am sorry to hear, that you cant get the game to work properly.
COH does stress the system more than most other games, most likely due to all those fancy features it has. But those fancy features are also what I love about this game.
That being said, I have played COH on a number of different machines, both laptops and desktops, and for me it has worked without significant problems. There has been small hiccups, but all has been solvable without to much trouble.
Have you ever been to other game forums? It's always seemed to me that crashing hasn't been as widespread in this game as it has in many others. Fallout 3 comes to mind (I used to crash pretty regularly in that game, but then it was just a game crash and not a total system crash). I also remember a couple of LucasArts games restarting my system on a regular basis, while any other game worked fine. Turned out my PSU was on its way out.
I guess the biggest thing I worry about is that crashing in this or any game may be indicative of some greater problem with a system. But if it's not worth it to you to pursue that, then all I can do is *shrug* and wish you luck.

I can haz ur stuffs?
Now, to be serious:
I hate to say this, but the reality is this: Dual core. 2-4G of memory. 500 Watt Power supply that *weighs* like it. NVidia video solution, preferably the 8xxx series and up, preferably of the x6xx or x6x nomenclature or above. Clean system, updated drivers, perhaps one or two revs behind current, depending on situation.
In particular: Intel dual core CPU. 4G of Kingston memory. Gigabyte motherboard with appropriate INTEL chipset. NVidia 9600 or better video card. And the Power Supply is usually CoolerMaster or Thermaltake with the 120MM fans in them, hefty little beasts.
And a clean install of Vista. Or XP, whatever. Service Packed to latest, and all unneeded programs of *any* type disabled/deinstalled.
Finally, Comcast Houston Cable Internet. I pay extra for having it, and I won't give it up easily, because I rarely, if ever, have issues.
I don't know what happened in your machine/your situation, and I'm sorry to see ya go, but it's a shame that Co* is so demanding... But it's why I use the quality, known good stuff I do, because I'm not going to chase my tail trying to use something else. I have been good for 5 years straight, with only the global issues that others have being the ONLY issues I've dealt with.
Again, sorry to see ya go. Take care, we'll see ya sometime else.

Well... perhaps I was premature about that whole 'signing off' thing... - 11-9-2012
Ironically Fallout 3 ran just fine on this machine on some of the higher graphic settings. It is just CoH that has these problems. That's what makes it so frustrating.
Here's some specs from dxdiag.

The specifications you have listed looks nice, but I still recommend including full COH Helper and HiJackThis reports as requested above.
A few things come to mind.
You said you have updated your drivers. Make sure you only updates to version 185.85. Vista and 186.xx is a bad combination.
Furthermore, have you tried measuring the temperatures of the CPU and the GPU?
It could be a matter of overheating.
Or have you done any upgrades to your system? If so, your power supply might be the bottleneck.

Really? How is that ironic? Fallout 3 is a DirectX game. CoH is an OpenGL game. Apples and oranges.
Why is it that people want to insist on comparing how CoH runs to how a game using a different system (DirectX instead of OpenGL) and a different engine run?
That's a bit like comparing speeds of a Toyota Celica and a Lear Jet.
And we've still not seen the reports asked for previously.
If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.
Black Pebble is my new hero.
my machine has been crashing almost religiously as of late.
After 15 minutes with a vaccume cleaner, and some brushing, all the dust is now out of my machine and off the fans.
flawless performance since.
Ignoring anyone is a mistake. You might miss something viral to your cause.
I wish I could give more info on this, but when I log into the game and attempt to runa round the game crashes. ANd by hard crash I mean my whole system crashes and I'm recquired to power down the system in order to get it working again. Vista is up to date, ( I know game has issues with it, but it's never taken the whole machine down before like this.) Vid card drivers were updated as well. (Was using old ones that would run teh game before last patch, now old ones and new ones have the same crash.)
Is this happening for anyone else?
