Ha! So I'm *not* the only one who thinks Mister Technocolor Glowball is foxy. (I mentioned Sunstorm in my first post way up-thread, but up until you two, no one else had.

I keep my Masterminds' pet buff bars up since they're all three shielders of one sort or another, and I keep the team buff bars up on Suzume and Kephren (FF and Sonic defenders) for the same reason... so I can see when to re-shield people... but otherwise I just find it a distraction. With Karasu, I know who I've buffed and about how long it'll last, so it isn't all that helpful.

That resizing trick has been a life-saver for me. I can't imagine running with any of those windows at full-size... Not on a monitor the size of mine, anyway! XD

After playing around with this outfit this morning and earlier on beta, I only really have one complaint...
Hanano's poor Akuram looks absolutely dingy in comparison to her after all this.
Dull, drab Oni *definitely* needs a make-over now if he wants to keep up with his "little human side-kick". -
Just for the fun of it... this is what my UI lay-out looks like for the majority of my characters:
League or Team is top left, Nav and targeting is top center, character info is top right along with the mini-map, chat is bottom left and pets are on the right side. My main powers are in the three trays on the bottom right with the most frequently used in #1 and #2, while often used temps and Incarnate powers are in the trays bottom-center. (Kestral actually has one more tray there than most of the others. She has several "alternate" iPowers and a big collection of Lore pets that I switch frequently, so all the options are there. The pets even got a tray of their own... That way I don't have to stop and drag the active one into place every time I swap.)
All of my windows are at 65% size and 15% background opacity. When I'm soloing, I always close down the team/league window, and often the mini-map. If I'm feeling anti-social, the chat window goes too.
The exceptions to that general lay-out are my Masterminds. They have a very similar, though much "busier" layout, since I control their pets with a combination of clicks and keybinds.
Here's Hanano's:
She still has the two center trays for temps and iPowers, but adds four more for her various pets. (Yeah, I know it looks confussing, but combining the different click commands and the key-binds is what allows me keep her ninja on such a tight leash-) Her Confuse Protection monitor is above the chat box rather than the center trays to keep it from getting in the way of my "line of sight".
Again, the windows are all at 65% size and 15% opacity to give me as much of a clear view of the action as possible, and like the others, I tend to turn off a few of those windows when I'm alone.
Aside from the Masterminds, a couple others have minor differences... On Karasu (my Empathy defender) I keep the team window in the position typically given to Pets if I'm on a single team. If I'm on a league, the League window goes bottom center right above the supplimental/iPower trays, so I can keep a closer eye on who needs help. My two bi-form Peacebringers have shape-shifting key-binds that switch their #1 trays to the trays containing their form-specific powers automatically, and another to move them back and return them to human. -
Like I said on the channel yesterday, I'd be in for bringing my favorite badge-monkey tank along. (I've never done Caverns, so Pally doesn't have that badge yet.

'Love the very "Jetsons" glowing rings... Those are going to be great fun.

Fixing Oro would also make cross-faction teaming easier in the revised Dark Astoria.
Currently, after your initial run-through, the DA arcs (Which are clearly intended to be repeated regularly as the solo/small team Incarnate path) are only available via Oro. That makes it absolutely impossible to run them with a "mixed" group more than once... Not good when DA is supposed to be both a cross-faction co-op zone *and* one with content that's intended to be run many times over on the same characters. -
I skipped Hand Clap on my own SS/WP brute (Star Dasher, a Robot Unicorn Attack-inspired goof-ball whose whole gig is crashing into things and making as big a mess as possible.
), since it seemed pretty counter-productive. Taunt, on the other hand, is useful for fury-building and keeping everything within easy range of The Smash.

Another vote for Foreshadow, here... He's just such a cutie.
Sands makes me grin, too, but that's as much a matter of personality as anything, and for some reason I've also always been fond of Sunstorm. 'Can't explain that one, really, but can't deny it either.
Among the Praetorians... Yeah. Eddie's a jerk, but he's definitely got that whole "bad boy" thing going on, and I would be remiss not to mention Kang. I found him appealing in a very "stylish older guy" kind-of way.
And in the catagory of "not exactly a handsome guy, but still a total teddy-bear"... Noble Savage. There's just something so... cuddly... about him. -
I'd love to have PPD Lore pet sets (both a Paragon and a Praetorian version) for a couple of my crew who have police affiliation. CoT would also be a good choice.

Sorry, but there's no way I could keep all that up on my screen...
I have a relatively small monitor and if I had even half that many windows active I wouldn't be able to see what my character was doing, where they were going or what the heck was going on. I also know I'm far from alone in that particular situation. Not everyone has a vast amount of screen real estate to work with, and you have to pick and choose what's there and what's not.
Having league or team chat up is necessary and monitoring individual attributes in certain trials does have its uses, but wanting everyone to keep the rest of that mess active at all times? That's overkill.
I also disagree that having to have soft-capped defenses is necessary for Master of- runs if you want to avoid being an "undue burden" on your team or league.
There's not one single character in my entire crew that has soft-capped Defenses of any sort. Not one. Not even the toons who have multiple Master of- badges in their collections. It's just not necessary if you're willing to slow down a little and pay attention to what you're doing. (And no... I'm not going to respec all of them and ruin their builds that were designed to do other things, just because everyone and their dog seems to think soft-capping is the only way to play anymore. That would be silly. Not to mention taking up all the potential play-time I'd have for the next month. Not. Gonna. Happen.)
All that said... it's just a fact that some people are always going to be better at following the script than others. Some people are going to listen and (more to the point, I suspect-) understand a leader's instructions, and some are going to be distracted morons who auto-run past the bomb team and get themselves blown up. That's just the nature of the beast when you're dealing with as diverse and public an environment as an MMO.
Talking to people and pointing useful things out to them is good... But I don't think we can expect miracles. At best, we might end up with a few more people who know what "Get out of the way" means. -
Are there even cabs? I'll admit I haven't looked for them specificly, but just off-hand I don't remember seeing those either.
There's something fishy going on here...
<_<

It's almost as if the PTA tram service has done away with most of their competition. -
Quote:Too bad that'll do exactly NOTHING to solve the problem with Kheldians losing access to all of their pets when in forms... They'll just be another greyed-out toggle we can't use. There was mention by staff about making Veteran Rewards a separate toggle than Non-combat pets to enable both Shield Oscillators and Clockwork Gears to function together.

This, alas.
I've had a couple of support characters do relatively well with iTrial component drops, while having others that had to scrape and scramble for every single Rare bit they needed just to get their level shifts.
My own Empath? She has across-the-board T3s now, but it took about two months of off and on trialing to do. She got one Rare from a BAF and one from an Underground. The other three had to be constructed... Two from Emp merits and one from Uncommons and threads. She went many runs in a row with nothing but Common drops.
The thing is, that kind of odd luck isn't limited to support types. My Nightwidow had pretty much the same problem. I got so frustrated with Cho's endless streak of Commons and Uncommons, that I ended up downgrading the one and only VR she ever got into the last Rare she needed, just to have it over with and finally be "finished" with her. o_0
So, yeah... Random is random, and sometimes the RNG is a real son of a female dog about giving you what you need. Save your Emps. They're the light at the end of the tunnel. -
I have to say, even though I'll never use the things in the "normal" course of play, one of the team-sized Escape inspirations I got from my little set of superpacks did come in handy in the Avatar fight on our Friday Underground run. It was an excellent suppliment between Clarion activations.

Quote:The "guy" is a gal... That was me.To add salt to this wound I've seen the reverse of this scenario: one guy claimed he opened like 700+ packs on Beta before he got the Black Wolf then got it like in his 4th pack when they went live.
Stupid RNG...
As part of the general drop rate testing, I did open more than 700 packs on beta just to see how many it would take me to find the wolf. I typically have absolutely horrible luck with the RNG in this game, so I knew going in I'd be on the tail end of the curve. (For reference, it also took me more than 30 packs on beta to get the complete costume set, and several hundred to get one complete Stalker ATO set.)
When the packs went live, I used some extra stipend points I had laying around to buy 6 of the things, just to try for one costume bit I wanted... I got that in pack #2. The wolf came up in the fourth set.
What does that mean?
That random is random.
... Or that I'm doomed never to see another good drop of ANY kind in this game EVER AGAIN. XD -
The little "chibi gummies" are kind-of cute...

I'll second Liberty as an option.
While I also have stalkers on Union and Exalted, Liberty is my home server and the place I keep my favorites. It's rare to see any "LOLStalkers" sentiment among the regulars... and, as BP said, in spite of our small numbers, we're a pretty active community.
