  1. I find my Ninjas/FF to be quite survivable and strong, with my bubbles enhancing their defense and my knockback keeping the mobs away from the ones whose defense has failed.

    I've personally only played Gravity, but I'll give you a run-through on that.

    Pros:
    - Gravity makes for a very loose build. You only have a few truly -essential- powers, leaving a lot of room for your damage-dealing secondary.
    -Gravity does smashing damage, which can help against DE and some robots.
    -Singularity is one of the better pets, and it complements the first pro in that it does a lot of the controlling -for- you, allowing you to focus on burning down your enemies.

    Cons:
    -Gravity only has a few really -good- powers. The hold negates Lift's knockup, Propel is awful, and your AoE hold is lol, just like every other set's.
    -Gravity is very hard to see. It's got one of the most subtle graphical effects in the game, which could bother some people. However, this could be a pro if you're lazy and want to sit back and pretend to do work on teams.
    -Due to the lack of very good powers in the beginning (aside from lift), Gravity has a reputation of maturing late, with Wormhole and Singularity at higher levels.

    I'm sure other people would have different complaints or points that they like, but that's my personal experience for the set.

    /Psi should be good with Gravity now - it was hell before the Dom buff, since both powersets matured very late - Gravity at 26 and Psi at 38 - but now that Psi has been turned into more of a damage dealer, it should be fairly fun. Energy is also in the same boat, and I've heard it's very very easy to get Grav/NRG to permadom.

    On a side note, Xenite, if I don't have a numpad (I use a laptop to play), how would you suggest I set up those macros you posted in that other thread?
  5. I've never heard of a / command undoing the effects of cloak of darkness.

    If it really bugs you that much, turn it on only when you want stealth. If you have leaping, Combat Jumping's immob protection should get you by with little trouble.
  6. Thugs/ or Necro/. Dunno exactly why, but Thugs/Pain seems to be quite the steamroller. Necro/Pain makes your already fairly-tough pets into gods.
  7. I would think that the Regen from Regen, along with its click powers, would lend itself to a hit-and-run sort of stalking. Not sure, though, never played it, but that's what it seems like it would be. If you like that, go ahead.
  8. I'm really enjoying my Necro/Pain right now - I find I can support a team while doing excellent damage with my practically-unkillable pets.

    Close second is Ninjas/FF. I mean, really, ninjas with force fields. How freakin' awesome is that.

    Ancillary Pools

    Honestly, the only APP on Scrappers that I've found to be useful is Body Mastery, and only because of Conserve Power. And maybe the AoE.

    Weapons mastery seems to me to have been hastily thrown together - the only two powers that seem remotely useful are Caltrops and Web Grenade, but why immobilize your opponent when you can just kill them?

    I had dark for a while on my Claws/Dark, for theme, but the redraw drove me nuts and I found myself just ignoring my ancillaries and killing stuff just as efficiently.

    I'd love to have some of the Tanker ancillaries.

    (Edit: On a side note, I do appreciate Exploding Shuriken for its extreme campiness factor.)

    I disagree. 1338 presents the point that Scrappers are one MORE than 1337.

    Hence, we are more 1337 than 1337 itself.
  11. Otherwise, Domination is the same. And I wouldn't know about the inconvenience of damage slotting- I just throw sets in there for defense and recharge bonuses.

  13. It doesn't. However, the damage buff that was on Dom has been given to Dominators as a base damage buff.
  14. I plan to get glowing touch in my late 40's on Mr. All-Human, but it's only for the awesome power effects. :P

  16. I managed to get a grav/psi dominator to the Smashing/Lethal defense cap, without permadom. Is it worth my influence to try and build that on my dom, or should I just save my fake money and work for permadom?

    I have an all-human PB at 30 and I love it. :3 I think I'm gonna drop Proton Scatter, though. It seems fairly underwhelming compared to my other attacks.
