Question on Scaling resists for SR

If you were to build a SR scrapper around the scaling resistance how would you do it with IOs and accolades? Would this be better done as a brute instead? Basically I want to know how low can your hp go where its really hard for a group of minions to kill you near the soft cap? How much of an impact will tough make before hitting the resists cap with scaling resistance? Would slotting health for regeneration be a bad thing as it would make your resistance go down?

i'm not an expert on the subject but in general, the concept is better for a brute simply for the fact that they get Tanker resist cap's and not scrappers,... the regen option isnt really a concern for an SR as your not going to be hiting the rates where it'll alter it all that much at all quickly enough for it to matter,... i'm not sure but as it seems, when your in the red your pretty close if not already cap'd resists, so as such, tough will go a long way with most enemies before and even at that point i'd imagine

It never really works to make you harder to kill for a prolonged period. If you have 25% Health and 75% resistances, you may as well just be at full health with no resistances. And you almost definitely have to be that low for the full Resistance to kick in.

All the scaling resists do is prevent you getting downed by two consecutive lucky shots.

Qr

I don't like the Scaling resists at all It doesn't do much IMO.

Here is a pic of Scaling resists at work. I have around 1700 HIt points and Tough is not slotted that good. I'm only at 63% resists with Tough on and each auto power is only giving me 17%. I was not running any of my toggles because it would of took to long for them to kill me.

Now I don't know if more Hitpoints will give you higher resists so if anything it would be better for a Brute.

I'm not certain, but I know my /SR brute FEELS more survivable than my /SR scrapper.

Willpower has more passive regen than Regen does. Who thought that was a good idea?

Can we get a fix for Energy Melee instead of more new sets?

Brutes have a Tanker's level of Health. So yeah, your /SR brute is more survivable than the /SR scrapper.

Scrappers have ~1338 base hp.
Brutes have ~1500 base hp.
Tankers have ~1875 base hp.

So yeah, Brutes have more, but nowhere near Tanker levels.

Hunh. I always thought tanks and brutes had the same Hp. Learn something new everyday.

Tankers and Brutes have all of the same hit point, resistance, and defense caps (the defense cap is pointless though because you only need 45% to attain max effect; 225% is more than a bit of overkill). Brutes have lower base hit points and self buff modifier (.75 compared to 1.0). When talking about peak and/or team performance, it's considered fair to count Brutes and Tankers as having roughly the same values (because team buffs are generally overkill on most Tankers anyway). Solo, Brutes are more akin to tougher than average Scrappers than Tankers.

Scrapper HP base still needs to be nerfed by 1 HP to 1337

It is the only proper thing to do devs

I disagree. 1338 presents the point that Scrappers are one MORE than 1337.

Hence, we are more 1337 than 1337 itself.
