There's a Claim All button which I quite like but which irks others as it gives you those terrible Sprint powers
Not to mention it is fail sauce if you are under 50 and have incarnate unlocks.

People that want to play Energy but hate the knockback win, people that play Energy and love the knockback aren't affected.

Really, it's sad that perhaps the most iconic blaster set gets ignored by the majority of the playerbase because of something as silly as knockback. This change would do wonders for opening up the ranged blast sets a bit instead of being Fire... and all those others.
This is true, with the advent of Null the Gull type NPCs it would be a better option.
  4. Gratz on more AVs!
Your avatar seems to have photobucketed away =(
Is wartroller the name of your toon? I keep reading it Wart Roller. :P

Fire Farms only got a "leg kicked out from under their leg" they are still way strong.

  8. I know the topic has gravitated a bit but I'll chip in on the "don't need IO's" front a bit. I level most toons to about mid late 30's before I throw any IO's in and continue to slot SO's at multiples of 5 until 42 where I'll go ahead and use 45 and 50's common IO's unless there is something better in a set.

In the 30's I "frankenslot" meaning I'll put IO's from a variety of (cheaper) sets. If I REALLY like a character then I'll start putting sets and working towards fancy stacked bonuses earlier but mostly I wait till late in the characters life before committing much INF. End result, I still have a bit of insight into the SO game and I'd say I rarely feel it affects me to "gimp" levels. The worst times are levels like 26 or 31 when the SO's are going yellow hence my general 30's IO slotting tactic I guess.

If anyone is really overwhelemed by IO sets and such try just replacing your SO's with level 45 or 50 common IO's and work your way up from there!

I suppose, more accurately, the person with the existent global name would get the item, but I think we all got the gist!

Yes! I was a fan of the original IO solution of moving 'em all to KD then allowing the slotting of KB IO's or SO's to allow the return of KB for those that like it. Unfortunately some folks didn't like the idea of losing a slot to get back their KB, even if the KB IO/SO got a "free" 33+ percent Accuracy or damage, etc. The idea of - (minus) KB would be fine with me too in order to reverse the issue of spending a slot to get back what you once had. Maybe even a simple, global IO could work, I'm not sure.

Heck a way to turn all the KB into Knock Up would be enough really, just something where my good buds in game can stop making me smile wistfully every time they pull a boner KB move. Seven plus years of biting my tongue has left it rather callused!
  13. They ought to go ahead and put some of the old zones that have also been obsoleted back in there...
    Original RWZ
    Original Hive
    Original Faultline
    Original Atlas Park
    etc.

I know at least original AP exists in game already for some of the older missions like the Oroborous arc.

Hey, let's not derail into some kind of weird anti-fanboy trollfest. He specifically said "healing attack" they have a lot more "class defining skills" than just those two attacks.

She isn't infallible and has herself put up posts where she admits she was wrong. One simple thing I see a lot is general presentation of post and attitude seems to bring out posts like that in folks. This isn't meant to be a personal attack, BTW. A valuable poster, so valuable that "they can't afford to employ her!"

I suggested this elsewhere but I would like to see the Rage treatment experimented with for nukes. Only affecting self, or a few seconds of -1000% damage etc. Avoids toggle drops, avoids the hated recovery debuff and endo drain. Easy to balance for the devs so far as keeping the damage output over time under control. Worried about to much damage output? Make the duration 6 seconds instead of 4.

The bad- that annoying feeling of " I cant contribute damage for the team" is still there, with no counter this time. On the other hand, you can drop inferno, keep all your defenses running and use super speed to get out of dodge before the boss that survived clobbers you. Get back into position, heal yourself, use inspirations, re-target and by then the new "crash" is gone or almost gone. Duration would need extensive testing to get right.
Woof, I'd rather it stay as is than get that stupid rage treatment even at 4 seconds. I don't know why they can't just be -100 percent end and get rid of the no end recovery part. I get to "cheat" like that all the time on my ice/em by using Conserve Power and a blue insp.

    New Brawl Sounds

Could take it or leave it for Brawl specifically, but for Sands of Mu and such it is odd.

Will probably fix if I ever get around to playing with other sounds too.
  18. Hey, as long as that isn't sarcasm or butthurt then I'm impressed with the Take Responsibility and Deal With It attitude. Look at the recent scandal with Rupert Murdoch and his attempts to slough off the blame. Generally, if The Daily Show would take you to task for doing something, you might be in the wrong. (generally!)

    Kudos!
  19. Farm leveling can be really fun and useful tool in some situations but I always end up going back to non-ae ambush farm leveling so I don't feel like a meshugenah.

    Answers for afaik.
    1. Lower level mobs have relatively less HP and a lowered HP cap. An attack that kills a mob at low levels may do significantly less vs. it's level 50 equivalent.
    2. Fire farm mobs do only fire damage. Fire Armor is able to easily cap it's fire resist! That's about all.
    3. Folks all seem to gravitate to the more popular farms. Check ratings and number of plays. Also, look in to CEBR on the forums for some impressive stuff.

AFAIK there was no bug, don't know what the OP is talking about.

The set is ridiculous in its current form. The nerfs turned one of what was a surprise dark horse favorite character of mine into a guy I haven't logged on to in years. I would pay cash money to have that character back to at least animating like he used to, let alone playing.
  21. I'm noticing this issue on Protector tonight, again. I'm also noticing that these official forums are behaving in a very similar way, with normal behavior that seems to suddenly "lag spike" then pop back to normal.

See the previous netgraph pics for what mine looks like right now.
  22. Even after XP smoothing I feel like the 30's are too slow. It's probably just mental as I'm actually pretty sure the 40's are slower. There are more good, long, rewarding arcs in the 40+ game, though, with great bonus XP at the end and your powers are all getting very well fleshed out... 40+ the character really starts playing like it "should" so seems to go faster perception-ally for me.
  23. Yep, YA "I use trip mine constantly" post.

I also like to use time bomb and time it with a trip mine for fun. Obviously not super time efficient but sometimes I'm playing for fun and tactics vs. pure efficiency.

Plenty of great suggestions out there for these powers so I probably shouldn't waste time on moar suggestions.

Also, it's possible to be well off enough to not even give a flying monkey that "YOU ARE THE SUCKER." I know I'm not alone on these forums when I say I regularly overpay, sometimes vastly, for stuff just for the convenience of not having to bid creep or even re-type bids at all.

I KNOW I'm being stupid. To make myself feel better, if I even have to do so, I consider that there is a person on the other end of that deal who is ZOMG HAPPY to get that "windfall" of 2,000,000 for their whatever salvage and I'm happy for them! I feel like I lose more to x10 order of magnitude typos than anything else so maybe that is another reason this works out for me in that I don't accidentally pay 20,000,000 or something if I'm not re-typing bids constantly.

Maybe this just seems like gross excess to folks but my version of "marketeering" is "Play and sell everything that drops for 1 inf." And yes, sometimes I lose out. Yesterday I got a purple that sells, crafted, for 150,000,000 in the last 5 but I crafted it and listed it for 1 and only got like 50,000,000. Oh Noes!

I want to help on the Alchemical Silver pro bono arbitrage but I've noticed the outstanding bids have only dropped from about 13,500 bids to 13,300 over the course of the day. Maybe we can all stack up a bunch and dump them together somehow? What are the chances our fellow ebil marketeers are taking advantage of this community redevelopment effort?

Right, but does this mean that the non-vip, non-license toon can't generate them by being killed by a VIP or Licensed toon?

IE: Freebie player is the fodder for the paying player?

Seems like, if non-paying/VIP can't even generate drops (let alone receive) then drops may go down on average unless the number of paying/VIP players goes up. Will Freedom pull in enough paying/VIP to offset the current folks that may go non-pay/VIP in that case?
