Exactly, and I don't see it as game breaking either. That's about the only change I think needs done with Dark Armor myself.

Sleet is also a pretty big deal; the more each build sells out to increase damage, the more important that -RES becomes.

I'm not sure the Dominator would win, mind, but at the extreme high end I think it'd be darn close.
It was at an extreme high end build if I recall correctly (but for best DPS what isn't?). But both Mace Mastery and Ice Mastery come with -resist for the Dominator to tack on. And if I remember the thread, it was a Dominator that came out the best.

However, that said, if it wasn't the Dom, I don't think it would be the Blaster or Melee AT to win out, but rather a Something/Sonic Defender that would likely win out on the DPS, as it will stack the -Resists with -Regen (which is a big factor in all those AV/GMhunting builds of theirs).
  3. YES! YES IT SHOULD!

INCREASE IT'S NEGATIVE ENERGY RESIST SO IT CAPS!

...other than that, I'm pretty okay with the set as it is now.

    Some semi-random thoughts:

Just to clarify: Shin Breaker does not do -res natively, this is the proc's contribution you're mentioning?

And double-proccing isn't effective for Single Target DPS, but since SC and SS 'nest' so nicely, wouldn't it be effective on a high end build to proc SC anyway and get the benefits against small groups of hard targets? (I'm thinking 4 bosses, as you get 'left over' from two max spawns.)

I'm not sure how effective Stj is at such levels of crazy, though.... It's just so PRETTY.
Double Procing is effective if you throw in purple sets.
  5. Yes it will be available as it's already been shown that it will be available. It's just a matter of when.
  6. First off, if the buff shields annoy members of the team, they're doing something wrong Now if you're being drive by buffed while at Icon or WW, totally different.

As for my suggestion...Time/Fire Defender...bring damage and AOE with good buffs/debuffs.

Five slotting Oblits gets you ~89% recharge in the power plus 5% global, where five slotting Posi's gets you ~26% recharge in the power plus 6.25% global. Not a tradeoff I like to make. Also Posi's Blast has a worthless range enhancement that does nothing in SS.

I do see what you mean about set bonuses and the rule of five, but losing ~60% recharge in a cornerstone power of the set seems like a crappy tradeoff. Maybe losing is the wrong word, we have no better option than Posi's (or Ragnarokfor the rich), really. The set type is the only thing that bugs me about SS being a TAoE rather than a PBAoE.
Leave out the DMG/RNG IO, and put in a different IO. Really, do you need that 3.13% Toxic Resist?
  8. It was all voted on. So really I'm a bit more suprised to see what made it on the list than anything else.

I love the Crow and consider it one of the best, I'm just a bit suprised that other people remembered it, as it usually seems to be forgotten untill mentioned then people are all "Oh yeah."

Never even heard of that Captain Invincilble musical movie.

Seeing as how this was based all on votes, I can go with the rankings, in so much as I don't agree with Superman being #2, as I think many of the newer movies are better than it.

Throwing my hat into the ring of course! I'd have to rework her a bit, the magical girl SG I created and had her in was different, and I didn't care for her power sets either.

The hard part would be deciding which sign and then what sets to go along with it though. Hmmm...

But, they did reveal his identity which up until now was not known, and for a good reason. The guy has a girlfriend and two kids, he can't afford to put them in danger. Looks like his career as a "masked hero" is over.
This. The cops likely wanted an excuse to arrest him. What he does isn't vigilantism. He could of easily have done this in street clothes, he just wouldn't have gotten the press over it.
  11. I thought for DPS it was determined Fire/Fire/Ice or Mace Doms won.

Energy Transfer, before the change, was simply monstrous. I could clear an entire map of Freakshow with just that power. It was like a damn sucker punch that could rip heads off! Here's the kicker: That wasn't a good thing. Everybody's acting like because it was balanced with similar hard-hitting powers in other sets, it's been completely gutted. It's still hard-hitting. It and Total Focus are still monstrously devastating when paired together. You hit just about ANYTHING with both of those powers, and they are very likely to be sore in the morning.

Each powerset has its strengths and its drawbacks. Not a one of them is meant to be "THE MOST AWESOMESAUCE POWER! ROFLOLZ!"

If you've found that you disliked the powerset, then perhaps that style really isn't for you! It's that simple!
The set plays different with the changes. I was hitting corpses a plenty before the changes, the change made it happen even more, and on a Tanker, ET and TF where the go to powers for feeling like delivering damage (imo anyways).

On the Stalker...I now had THREE long animating attacks...AS, TF, and ET. :/
  13. I've wanted to run First Ward, but I just don't see my main (and hero) putting someone back into the network against their will. I'm pretty sure she'd let the one decide, even if that means the choice was "Never again!" and millions would die.

    Magical Girl SG?

O.O A THEME SG?! Will it last? I've never gotten a theme SG to last!

I have a magical girl with a skin condition that makes wearing clothes difficult/painful so has almost always tried to stay in the Magical Girl outfit as it was the one exception.

The loss of the MAG 4 Stun didn't bother me. But I will have to say, the change to ET was never necessary and wasn't needed.

I played WP/EM, INV/EM, EM/SR (Stalker before the changes), EM/Nin (again before the changes)...in no way was the ET overpowered in PvE.

People say such things as "AOE is king now" well let me tell you, AOE has always been king And nothing showed you that more than hitting corpse after corpse on an AOE heavy team.

Everything about the change to EM screamed "PVP REASONS"

I don't even want the whole set sped up. Barrage? I love it's animation! Total Focus? Love it's animation! ET? Hate the new animation and I already had one slow animating single target attack that was awesome!

Whirling Hands? Love the animation, didn't care if it was the weakest PBAOE for melee.

Yes, I love that standard PBAOE animation.

However, I do know of another way to fix all this.

    A new aura!

Give me the aura "Energy Melee Pink Pom Poms of Death + Glowing Eyes Combat Aura" and I'm all set to just go with StJ.
  16. Can we add "Have Placate give one Combo Point" to these suggestions?

Also, the devs have more reason to generate a new set. Consider our newest set, Street Justice. The whole set could have been a set of alternate animations for Martial Arts with a few changes. Instead, they developed a new set that they can put into the market for 800 points. Instantly, a large chunk of the player base runs out to buy the new set and make a new character. Every player drops 800 PP to access the set, which means at a minimum they've thrown out an extra $10 to Paragon Studios, unless they used their VIP points which brought their payment down to, at max, $30. At this point, why exactly would you spend so much time building alternate animations to hand out for free?
Because it's the good thing to do?

    Leave everything the same except:

Make an option to zone into PVP to either side.

Siren's Call (Freedom) and RV (Freedom) Have plenty of frequent players. People play the two zones specifically for a reason.

Warburg DOES NOT allow you to enter on either side. It is simply Free-for-ALL.

Arena is an entirely different concept than zone PVP and thus has nothing to do with this. People choose to go into zone PVP for the non ending free world living environment. Arena is meant to fight a match with definite ending and definite victor.

Simply put. Add a single option to choose red or blue when entering a PVP zone. The rest is irrelevant.
You mean, zone allows you a better chance to run away and not die?

Or do you mean, zone allows you to duel, and then complain when another pvper in the zone interrupts said duel, while they wonder why you didn't take it to the arena if you were going to duel?

As for the suggestion. Picking sides. Yes, Warburg is free for all, but if you can team up with whoever you want, isn't that team vs team staying pretty much the same as you want? Or is there more than 16 players in a zone at a time in RV/Sirens on Freedom?

Also, aren't you able to just logout and log into a character on the otherside? I know that's what I did when I'd go in. "Oh, need more redsiders? One sec!" *alts to Corr*

Just curious on this, I see what you're getting at, but do you just have one character to PvP with?

    Revamping Claws

But I still want a "Clawed Fingernails And A Few Martial Art Kick Attacks Thrown In" Powerset! They can even call it that!

Oh, and the option to have really HUGE hands to go along with it on the character!

*awaits the day to make that concept*

To give you a general idea of what I want to use him for here's things that are key to me.

    - I want to be able to hold my own in difficult battles.
    - I enjoy running BAF's, Lambda's, etc. often so survivability is key.
    - And I don't want to spend two weeks farming money to be able to build it, so go easy in the purple department unless is direly necessary and leave Hamidon's out.
    - I want Super Jump in my build.
Leave out Hamidon's? Why? They're so easy to obtain. Run a STF, run a Hamidon, you obtain a Hamidon Origin Enhancement.

Sell the one's you get that you don't need, keep the ones that you do.

You're willing to run the iTrials, but not run a Hamidon Raid or a STF or a LRST (or even both a STF and a LRST)...basically a chance to obtain 3 HO's a day.
  21. Electric/Storm or Storm/Electric! Go with the classic combo!

Kinda like how added Toxic damage isn't enough to compensate on Dual Pistols?

Ever wanted to rename a character? Every two server transferes turns into a free rename token.

That said, I don't think it's 99% of the player base this is useless for.

I just used one of mine to move a 50 from Virtue to Exalted. Sooo...since I don't consider myself any more special than any other player, and thusly just one of the common folk, it would seem to be that the server transfers will be commonly used.

Is it the reward I would have prefered? Naaa. Free rename tokens would of been better for me. But eh, it's not like I haven't spent money on a rename token before.

The free Paragon Points are a means to allow VIPs to continue to get the same content they recieved before, while still charging for them.

That 400 points of month, if saved, will go towards things like new powersets, and thusly the free points help maintain the same content as before Freedom.

But ten, the devs know there will be plenty of people who see the free points and go..."Oooh! Shiney I wanted, but may have never bought before if it was included in a paid for booster!" *spend points*

Then smile as they release the content you would of gotten free, if you saved your points, and then paid for them with the free PP instead.

You can see it on the forums already. People complaining about having to buy powersets and not having any points. They spent them

And that's what the devs want. They want you spending the points on the little shinies, so when the big ones come out you're all "D'OH!" and then spending extra.

And for those who just say "Frag it. I'll save up my next two months of free PP."? Then they just say "Well, we were never going to get them to spend extra anyways."

It's win/win for them! Either you're staying subscribed or you're spending extra Making money either way.

Now the one's they're losing money on, are the total F2P, who will actually continue to play, and evr so slooowly work their way up the tier's (which what...4 years for tier 3?) , but for those, they're just wasting bandwidth, while giving their payingsubcribers a potential teammate, and making the servers look busier.
  25. Maybe they're skipping over the Halloween a bit because there's less money in it?

I know every Halloween I get a bit sadder as I see less and less kids dressed up in halloween costumes and you're lucky if they're wearing a mask when they come to the door and not just normal clothes with a big bag for candy.

Of course, I've also moved to a place were it tends to be COOOOLD at the end of October, so it could just be "If I was wearing a costume I'd just be covering it up with lots of warmer clothes"?
