What ho? You, sir, amuse me with your silent undertones of extreme vulgarity. I saw right through your ploy, fiend!

A dual wielding chainsaw powerset.
Do it for Adam. -
Think of it as passing the torch. Everything has to move forward, and when the time comes for CoX to move forward then I'll be there to see it along. I'm fine with a sequel. Hell, I think that a long while after The Coming Storm is released we'll see a transformed CoX universe in the form of a sequel.
But yes, CoX still has a long life to live yet. -
My first little steps into the game were as an Empathy Defender (waits for Defender rage). I remember being a huge support to a team of also relatively new players in the Hollows. We had a blast doing story arcs (a thing uncommon today) and easily had memorable moments. Hell, I can still remember keeping the Blaster alive to tank Frostfire while we got the Tank back on his feet. It's been a long and memorable ride. Now we have inventions, Co-Op zones, new powersets, color customization, and so on. I'd definitely say that first little team where everyone was relaxed and laid back was the greatest experience I had in CoH. Getting together with a group of people to experience a game we'd never played before (we eventually formed and SG, but it didn't last too long) was, indeed, an exciting event. And no, I didn't just "trow heels", i actually used the KB in my energy secondary (I'm looking at YOU Defender forums).
I'd say if I could re-create the experience I would, but people today are just too hellbent on getting exp rather than slowing down and taking the time to actually enjoy the story arcs, or the Task Forces, or even Haazard zone hunting. I truly wish to experience that laid back little team once again someday, but...well... it probably won't happen -
/Insert witty and sarcastic response here, filled with both "All ready been suggested" and "Facepalm"
No, but seriously, you 've got your head in the right place. Now if only we could actually change human nature (/credit to Vacant for posting first) -

Also, put it as "pending". Never know what might come up. -
If I'm not asleep, passed out, unconscious, or just swamped by work I will be there. Many a surprise may await.

Finals? No.
Accounting work and quote sheets piling up? Yes. -
Let's wait and see, sonny.
Oh, and dibs on Charlie Murphy. -

With color customization...how can I still be pretty and strong but with DIFFERENT pretty colors? I need help, pretty and strong brutes!
P.S.
Sticky this thread. I mean it. Sticky it. Do it. Nao. Do not wait. Do not even think. Click your sticky button and bring joy to all brutes. -

I'm speaking of the occasional control freak that demands absolute success from their teams. No deaths. No restarts. No nonsense.

Quote:You rang? This thread is for things in or about CoH that make you crazy happy, totally ecstatic, unbelievably joyous, SO DAMN JOLLY, CHEERFUL LIKE WOAH TOTALLY PANTS-ON-HEAD RETARDED WITH MIRTH or just kinda make you go "Gee, I'm glad this is."
Petless Mastermind Strike Forces (seriously, this is probably the wackiest thing I've ever done)
All-Mastermind zone invasion (once...never again...)
Being amidst dozens of zombies with my Mercs/Traps
Watching the sunset in The Abyss on the waterfall.
Masterminds in general
Getting in large teams on small population servers after an hour of soloing
Worst Costume Contests (you won't believe your eyes)
Engaging Archvillain battles with surprise twists and objectives.
Getting a team of people to play your undiscovered and unnoticed AE arc that you spent weeks if not a couple months on, and then having them give you props on the climax battle (which is, of course, the most important part of the arc ending)
Beach parties in Talos. What? It's a load of random fun.
Melee-only zone PvP --No duels-- (cringe, elite PvPers, cringe)
Finishing an Archvillain or Gaint Monster with a well-timed Energy Transfer or Knockout Blow
Force Bubble. Oh the infinite fun I've had with it. -
City of Heroes is a funny game. I like to look at the mechanics much like I look at TF2 mechanics. You can do obviously silly, funny, or downright unorthodox things and still succeed with life and limb to spare. Dark tank magically holding Recluse aggro? Sure. A team of petless Masterminds attempting a Strike Force? You bet!
You will, however, meet the serious person who does not necessarily have a whimsical outlook on the not-so-serious situations presented in a game. As such, you will most likeky meet the person I like to call "Sir Ragesalot" or "Minicus Maximus". Minicus Maximus, as I am so fond of, will demand the best of the best of the BEST from his or her teams, and anything shortcoming of their goal will ultimately be weighed down onto the "Gimpicus Minimus" or the player who isn't tailored exactly to absolute maximum efficiency. In this case you should analyze the team leader through shrewd pre-team tells or through his or her actions while teamed.
Remember! Look first, then leap. -
Quote:Keep in mind, share pain stops you from being healed for a bit and damages you to boot. Over use of share pain can and will kill you. Because of that, share pain is much more situational then sooth. If dropping one of them, share pain would be my first choice.
Your regeneration, coupled with your bodyguard mode, will basically render Share Pain's self damage barely noteworthy.
Share Pain, however, is highly situational and should only be used to save teammates or the hefty Tier 3 pet. This power is also quite useful in PvP with the absence of a healing presence. -
Think of the Arsonist as a troll. Not just any troll mind you, but a flaming, degenerate, unholy monster of a troll, spewing every obscenity possible and doing unorthadox things. Now that random outburst of unitelligable profanity is pretty sweet, as it sets fire to multiple posters in a single setting, especially if they're all grouped together and immobilized by a tpoic. Unfortunately, that little troll will run out of ideas and start hitting in close range against a single poster with a harmless insult, such as "you're gay, lol" or "your avatar sucks, post pad more". The weak, barely demoralizing punch against the single poster arouses the rage of all the other posters (upright or degenerate) onto him. Some, however, will call forth the Moderater and smite your poor little Arsonist.
In short: Flaming Trolls are short lived, as is the little bugger. -

Quote:Might have to do it in Warburg since I think the max for an arena match is 64. Not sure what the cap is for a regular zone, but it should be more.
I intend on doing it in Warburg on the Test Server so that people from all servers can join the insanity. That is to say if the idea is well received. -
So, I got to asking myself, "Jay, what do you feel like doing that is both epic and completely off the charts?" And I came up with an answer: a cataclysmic war involving TONS Masterminds (or as many as we can get) on the test server at an appointed date in the future in teams of 5. I not only believe this event will be the most epic Mastermind event since the idea of an all MM Hami-Raid (still to be seen). You m ust be asking why I would even bother to post this in the first place if it was just a personal idea.
Let me answer you...
I plan to make this happen IF enough people in the Mastermind boards are interested. If so, then I will organize a date, a team roster, and possibly even go as far as to attempt to get help from other popular event teams we have on these forums. Something along the lines of temporary yellow titles on the live servers for the participants of the war?
This is all just a dream of grandeur right now, but with enough backing support I will see what I can do/look into further. All I wanna do with this is put the idea out there and confirm the interest in it.
--Yours truly,
Bookkeeper Jay
EDIT: Decided to put up a roster. If at least 15 people sign up it just might go down.
