  1. Alright, after all your advice, here's what I've come up with. I don't have hover toggled on, because I'll never use it, and I decided to try out my build without hasten. I'm going to be running Cardiac when I get to lvl 50, so I hope I won't have any end issues at that point. Also, does anyone recommend a different epic pool, or is BM good?

  5. Thanks for the tips, I'll get working on a build in Mids. Quick question; is Cloak of Fear worth getting?

No, there have been no inquiries and the devs have not made any statements, because it's obvious. The path to Incarnate is supposed to be difficult and goes with the story of the game....that would be completely ruined by making it a global unlock for all your characters.
  7. I've recently dusted off a lvl 40 spines/dark armor scrapper that I haven't used in a while, and am trying to get him to 50. What should I be building for when slotting IOs? Should I focus more on def, rech? I know I definitely need to focus on end/recovery, but other than that, I really don't know. Any help would be appreciated.
  8. You could use them to buy a low level IO that sells high on the market, then buy what you're looking for there. The only things that I see worth spending A-Merits on are uniques, where the lvl doesn't really matter.
  9. Then there are the "Asterisk Badges" for anything that was available through some sort of bug, but has been fixed so that most have to get them the hard way. (Such as the 400 rep badge, or the Mo badges that were available when the new difficulty settings first went into effect and the -1 lvl setting worked on tfs)
  10. Downloaded, and loving it. The UI is much purdier than the old CoX updater.
  11. What I've always done is kept paragonwiki.com up with the order of zones for the tf. When the time comes, I tell one person to go to each zone, and as each task gets completed, instruct whoever is just finished to go to the next zone that doesn't have anyone yet. Also send more than one person to any zone that may be higher level and therefore might pose difficulty to anyone. It's always run quite smoothly for me that way.
  12. I know I'm way behind a lot of people here, but I've finally finished all my day job badges! This post was also supposed to read "finished" for all the available badges, but then they came out with the incarnate stuff, so I'm about 3 or 4 badges away from that. Either way, woohoo!!
  13. As to permanent ramifications, there are none. However, there are benefits to reaffirming alignments, due to A-merits and their ability to be used to buy IOs.

It's not far fetched or unreasonable to think they would have done it that way. It only mentions that we wont get a new respec when the badge is granted, but does nothing to imply how the badges are granted.

Either way, there is no point debating it. We'll find out for sure by the time it matters anyway. The important part is that they did something about it. All I'm saying is that my method would have been a "clean" way to do it.
Yeah, but I feel like debating it. Plus, I'm always right.

Joking aside, I agree totally...either way will work for me, and we'll find out when it happens.

Well.. that's how I'd do it anyway. lol
I dunno, they way they put it on the site, it looks like they're earnable badges that you still have to run the trial for, even though you won't be able to get the respecs for completing them.

It will probably be one of those where you can earn the badge while vig/rogue, but you won't receive the badge until you've switched over fully.

And whenever I tried pvp'ing, all that would happen is some Brute would tp-foe me into the enemy drones. I transferred him to another server less than a day later.

So just saying, if you're looking to focus on pvp, Freedom may not be your best choice.
  18. Justice is in no way an empty server, with weekly Hami raids and 2 highly-used global channels with tf recruitment often.
  19. Have 'em roll a claws/regen scrapper :-)
  20. Has pvp [on the right servers], but its in no way forced in order to optimize your character.

    SM/FA Build

Thanks Ehina for the critique. I think I'm actually going to keep Energy Mastery, but swap out Torrent for Superior Conditioning. I'm thinking that with a little added end mod, I might be able to skip Cardiac and go with Spiritual (I'm a sucker for rech, making this build hard to put together with so little).

Here is what I've switched it to....lemme know if it looks like there will still be big end issues.

Here is the build that I have come up with for my stone melee/fiery aura brute, with a focus on defense. Is there anything that I am missing, or should be looking at closer? Any critiques are welcome.
