    TF speed.

    [ QUOTE ]
Ok what would you rather have on your TF to speed things up... a Rad/? or a Kin/?

Im gonna be making a dedicated TF hero and im a bit undecided between the 2.

    ty for help

    [/ QUOTE ]

kin, let someone else play the rad as you want one of each in the team
  3. OMG, you Rooks, you are one desperate fruit cake!
  4. Was great fun ppl! Good laughs and great team. And i did a big ding too
  5. I'm in. Bringing a dark/rad cor for some uber debuffing.
  6. BS doesn't seem to suffer from it's widely resisted lethal damage... It still splits skulls like a hot knife through butter.

Farming is just a term used when a player kills mobs quickly am i correct?
Therefore any decent player with any decent solo built AoE toon could therefore be classed as a "farmer".
Plus a team of fire/kins imo wouldnt match up to a team of fire/fire blasters or a team of Warshades (yus i know thundorn said solo )
And as has already been mentioned to make one toon awesome at one aspect of the game leaves them a bit low on the other aspects of the game (pvp for example or some 1 on 1 AV fights) I have faced most toon combos in pvp fights and i would much rather fight a fire/kin than say an ill/rad, mind/TA because i know i have a much higher chance of winning. (btw i know this doesnt reflect on player skill, im just basing it on my own experiences )
Ummm so to finish this pointless reply off i wanna say i dont mind the farmers as it makes my more "unique" toons have that extra wow factor in teams
    Peace out me heroes

Can you use more smileys in your next posts pls?
    We love smiling
  8. I know of a certain lvl 49 domi who likes to do this again. Something with ice and totally focussed...
  9. Nice design of that frontpage mummy!

Also nice concept for another tourni KS. Gotta say you really deserve an applause for your efforts to blow life into PvP on here and keep the spirits up! Also thanxs to hazel and cherry for their contributions ofcourse

Maybe some day i can get back into this PvP groove too. Or even very maybe i'll take this oppurtunity to have a go now again since i love squish

    MM vs AV/Hero

    [ QUOTE ]
I've taken down many AV/Heroes with my Necro/Dark MM.
It all depends on slotting and tactics, Necro does the most damage by far, the knights melee sword attack knocks any foe down and can 1 shot a Boss. Darkest Night -acc/-dam, Twilight Grasp -acc, Tar Patch -acc/-def plus you pets doing -def/-acc +leadership pool and IO sets, your unstoppable!!!

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Tarpatch is -res and slow

And rather then the tiny -accu TG has a good -regen which is what you really want it for against AV/heroes. And ofcourse the nice heal and to some lesser extend the reasonable dam debuff.

Very true, except just stop all the farming all together. This is a game not a farm!
  12. It sucks in terms of activation time mainly and so dps is a bit dissappointing.
The secondary effects (and PB ofcourse) like the stuns and KB -when used well- are quite good actually. Bit underestimated secondary, but in all honesty there are better indeed. Also depends with what primary (stack the stuns!) it is combined.
And hitting a nice dominated (and PB'ed) TF makes you feel mighty
  13. Blue_Note

    fire kin build

Oh dear! Don't take fighting pool on a troller! And stone mastery wasn't nor isn't 'king in farming' ...
  14. Anchors on your TA def bou?

As resonancing said probs with having anchors having played a several dark/rad defs, cors and trollers...... ARGHHH!
Still it's generally not that hard to educate players in what it is you do.

Make a bind defining anchors is the first step and explain whats going on if needed. Most of times ppl start to get the picture- albeit a bit slowly maybe-. And if not; time to move on to another team or even another alt.

Generally playing some (de)buffers will give you a good feel and insight as how to make things work better for others in the team, giving especially more straight forward types like scraps/tanks/blasts/stalkers/brutes better playtime. They -(de)buffers- are the types that need to have and keep oversight and notice the lack of understanding what's going on most noticably.
I vote all peeps play at least one of these kinds of toons to considerable lvl to make the game a better playground for all

Aaaaaand thx very much indeed for a fun TF. Special thanks to Sarcazmo and Dark Robo for covering up the no-shows.
To the no-shows, I hope it was nothing serious.

Sorry Bear for we couldn't make this on time for you to finish it, we also couldn't keep you alive but you'll have your reward window waiting for ya when you log again (hope it is not a blooming Stupefy recipe like the one I got).-

This s the last TF I am going to do for quite a while so I am glad it was fun, now a few weeks of solo farming await.-

    [/ QUOTE ]

Solo farming, now that sounds like immense fun!!
  16. Well for travel it depends what you like ofc and what kind of toon you are playing. I don't pick travel powers for concept myself so that's not an issue for me.

I'm a big fan of SS myself since it gives me very fast movement, also in combat so i can zip in and out and around the battlefield fast (just sometimes the annoying supression)
I'v got SS on as standard for the speeding around except when i know i'll be sticking in melee for a while and my end is low and also for the minor stealth part which is very handy (but nowadays we have the stealth IO's who can cover for that).
It's just that the maps of nerva (think bushed mountains in the back of the map), lagville and also martial can be a pain to navigate with just SS.
And evidently SS is just one extra powerpick from hasten which is imo a must have for a domi (to get domination up as fast as possible), whereas taking another travel requires you to pick 2 more powers. Having said that, i think on all my domis i have 2 travel powers (SS+SJ) So personally i think taking fly when dropping med pool is a good idea.
Generally not a big fan of fly myself as it's so slow and i play very agressively so movement is mucho important to me, but admittedly it's comfy travelling.

Go with what you like. Even just SS is a possibility if you're up for a hard time travelling in the high lvls. When you take SS early and use your travel temps wisely (also think to get the goldbricker flypack from Marshal Brass contact) you can get a long way though.

P.S. take PB and 3 slot rech asap (lvl 16). It truly rawks! especially since the secondary slow/-rech from both your primary and secondary benefit hugely from it.

  19. Ice/Ice is a lovely combo. I played fire/ice and ice/nrg till 50 myself, and sometimes regretted not have made an ice/ice...

Nice touch to go for SS as travel juiced up with cj. On heroes you can get away with that, but on CoV you prolly have a hard time getting around after lvl 35 and crying you had fly or SJ. (Although i have a cor on wich i used fly till lvl 35 or so and then specced into SS +hover and can manage till 50 with just SS and the left overs of the travel temps)

Tbh I'd drop the med pool. Unless you plan to PvP a lot, it's quite a waste of 2 powers for PvE.

As far as epics go Mu Mastery is pretty much a must have for powersink since you'll be a massive endhog. Unless you know you will be buffed by some +recov from teammates a lot you'll find your blue bar will be really low most of times.

It works nicely to put the smashing proc from the slow set (impeded swiftness) and psi dam proc from the confuse (malaise) set in AA.

Regarding ice sword circle: getting the sirroco set is extremely expensive and not worth it imo. Personally i prefer using a combo of multistrike and cleaving blow when talking IO's.

And for Jack: the pet resis from sov right is very nice, but bloody expensive (recipe and salvage considered) For the rest sov reight don't give any usefull bonusses and i've chosen blood mandate and bril. leadership for the +recov and +regen bonus.

Think you got great domi material at hands. Enjoy!

    MM vs AV/Hero

    [ QUOTE ]
well my MM is 32 thugs/dark and so far ive easilly soloed all heroes. EB's no experience of AV's yet though

    [/ QUOTE ]

Lvl 32... (all? )heroes...solo.. easily. These things don't fit in one sentence really... You should prolly replace heroes by EB's

These days you necessarily don't have to have Aid Self in order to PvP, stick to Respites and Mu Guardian. What you should to is to invest in a lot of recharge time IOs (it's always the 5th bonus of the set as far as I've seen, not counting LoTG +7,5%) as they help you to have less downtime on Mu Guardian. What you can do is that you can convert those slots used in Medicine to Leadership which opens you Maneuvers and Vengeance which you can stick LoTG into (that's +15 with them both)

    [/ QUOTE ]

Odd, I think Aid Self has been a damn lifesaver for me for the past half a year I've been playing Omega Patient. Nothing like getting critted by a scrapper and repairing the damage with a single Power Boosted Aid Self. As of the Recharge, I have a good working attack chain, and Domination is up as often as I need it without the +Rech from IOs. I don't want to mess up the good playstyle I've developed by taking new pools just for a bit of a recharge boost. (Almost wrote in the original post "please don't try and make this a +recharge build" or something along the lines)

    [/ QUOTE ]

Without aid self life as a domi will be hell when you don't have someone else looking out for you with a sharp eye. Especially with fire as primary since Mu Guardian likes to heal the imps instead of yourself...

People are too recharge focused, a little bit of downtime on hasten is nothing, people gimp builds just so they can say WOO I HAVE PERMA HASTEN! 3 slot hasten

    [/ QUOTE ]

Totally agree with globey. 6 slot hasten? pmsl, now that's really a waste of 3 precious slots!
  24. [ QUOTE ]
Gah, reading these posts does no good to my altitis, at the beginning of the thread I was decided to roll a Fire/Dark, then a Fire/Ice and I ended up rolling an Ice/Cold corruptor.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Hehe, i finally deleted a toon and filled that last slot with a fire/cold myself now
  25. Was good fun with a great team folks. And Dom surely enjoyed the occasional awesome slideshow provided by the cryptic.
