Hi,
I finally decided that it's time to play my Ice Dominator a bit, since it's such a cool AT and such a nice powerset.

I tried to make a build, with added IOs to spice it up a bit, but I'm no expert on the powersets neither the AT (currently level 10 ) so please feel free to tear it to shreds and give me some good advise

Here it comes:

Ice/Ice is a lovely combo. I played fire/ice and ice/nrg till 50 myself, and sometimes regretted not have made an ice/ice...

Nice touch to go for SS as travel juiced up with cj. On heroes you can get away with that, but on CoV you prolly have a hard time getting around after lvl 35 and crying you had fly or SJ. (Although i have a cor on wich i used fly till lvl 35 or so and then specced into SS +hover and can manage till 50 with just SS and the left overs of the travel temps)

Tbh I'd drop the med pool. Unless you plan to PvP a lot, it's quite a waste of 2 powers for PvE.

As far as epics go Mu Mastery is pretty much a must have for powersink since you'll be a massive endhog. Unless you know you will be buffed by some +recov from teammates a lot you'll find your blue bar will be really low most of times.

It works nicely to put the smashing proc from the slow set (impeded swiftness) and psi dam proc from the confuse (malaise) set in AA.

Regarding ice sword circle: getting the sirroco set is extremely expensive and not worth it imo. Personally i prefer using a combo of multistrike and cleaving blow when talking IO's.

And for Jack: the pet resis from sov right is very nice, but bloody expensive (recipe and salvage considered) For the rest sov reight don't give any usefull bonusses and i've chosen blood mandate and bril. leadership for the +recov and +regen bonus.

Think you got great domi material at hands. Enjoy!

Thanks Blue_Note!

For the invention sets, I'll follow your suggestions. I was not very sure myself of Scirocco's since I'm making it on my main (level 47 DEF) and finding it bloody expensive at 45+ level, so it's really not something I could go for if not after level 50 for a sort of endgame quest.
Now let me understand a bit better the power picks (have a freespec in my hands, so... ). Do you suggest to take flight? I always choose my travel powers from concept, and for this Dominator I see two alternatives: SS or Flight. So, if you think flight is the way to go, I might as well go for it. If I take out the medicine pool, I can still take hasten in addition to flight... What do you suggest for the second power pick that's left?

Well for travel it depends what you like ofc and what kind of toon you are playing. I don't pick travel powers for concept myself so that's not an issue for me.

I'm a big fan of SS myself since it gives me very fast movement, also in combat so i can zip in and out and around the battlefield fast (just sometimes the annoying supression)
I'v got SS on as standard for the speeding around except when i know i'll be sticking in melee for a while and my end is low and also for the minor stealth part which is very handy (but nowadays we have the stealth IO's who can cover for that).
It's just that the maps of nerva (think bushed mountains in the back of the map), lagville and also martial can be a pain to navigate with just SS.
And evidently SS is just one extra powerpick from hasten which is imo a must have for a domi (to get domination up as fast as possible), whereas taking another travel requires you to pick 2 more powers. Having said that, i think on all my domis i have 2 travel powers (SS+SJ) So personally i think taking fly when dropping med pool is a good idea.
Generally not a big fan of fly myself as it's so slow and i play very agressively so movement is mucho important to me, but admittedly it's comfy travelling.

Go with what you like. Even just SS is a possibility if you're up for a hard time travelling in the high lvls. When you take SS early and use your travel temps wisely (also think to get the goldbricker flypack from Marshal Brass contact) you can get a long way though.

P.S. take PB and 3 slot rech asap (lvl 16). It truly rawks! especially since the secondary slow/-rech from both your primary and secondary benefit hugely from it.

Thanks for the suggestions! I really don't like Superleap on this toon (concept, as I said), so I think I'll just try to get along with superspeed + temp travel powers (AND the jump pack from the GvE bonuses that I have), and later on if it becomes a pain I can always respec to get flight in

As for PB, I'd take it earlier but I want Stamina asap... I'll admit however that two levels (20 to 22) shouldn't make that much of a difference...

Thanks again for all the suggestions, I'll post the revised build as soon as I have some time to prepare it!
