Is it odd that I was able (smirk) to ascertain you were SS/WP from your bio without reading the rest?
Grats on the 50 PK! Now do it 6 more times with all the other villain AT. -
Yes. Your normal talking voice is quite different from your singing (or head) voice. The fact that you have to hit certain notes/tones at certain times and prolong them (or not) quite often means forgoing your accent. Of course some people will do this consciously any way while others won't worry about it and still see it happening. You see it more often nowadays as the young ones try to sound as American (and therefore, mainstream) as possible so that they can appeal to a much broader audience and thus, profit!
That being said, I've heard a lot of singers who haven't forgone their accents (case in point, the Proclaimers and their lovely, lovely Scottish accent *drool*). And if you really fine tune your ears, you can always pick up that bit of cultural background in there. -

April/May/June TA which plants it firmly in Spring.

*Nelson Muntz voice* Aha! Mereman is older than dirt, y'all!

Oh Hell to the NO!
Enough with the glitz and glamour issues already! I want new Dev created story content! -

Well, more power to you then. However, I have absolutely no idea of what initiative you're talking about. Is there a link?

The bug where in spite of telling the forum to remember your log in credentials you still have to log in every time you visit the forums. That bug.

Yeah, because I didn't run all over the map, front, middle and back and, when that didn't work, fired up Blinkie Finder which listed it as no where on the map... ¬_¬
He wasn't there. -
Yay! Happy b-day Mr. Damz!
I wish you cake in the form of a n00b of your choice. -
Quote:I'm sorry, but why the heck would I give two tosses for a competition that is at the very least erroneously named and yet another slap to the face of EU players and at best another misguided delusion that USA = World?...possibly. I'm not sure the Magna Carta counts, tbh.
But anyway, what better exemplufies the concept of Democracy than the Vote?
One human, one vote! Its the superpower everybody (living in a democracy and legally eligible) has!
Use that power for good, people of Europe!
What am I talking about?
The 2009 MA Player Awards, of course!
There may not be a Best European Arc Category anymore, but your votes still count and are needed, and if you do want to vote for a European arc, then vote for mine! I'm Welsh!
-but only vote for it if you've played it and the competition and honestly think its the best. Seriously. Its not the winning, its the taking part etc.
The votung thread is in the MA Stories and Lore forum.

I couldn't care less who wins it and I certainly won't be voting for it. Best of luck to the participants and enjoy it.
PS - The birthplace of Democracy (as far as recorded History goes that is) was the Greek city-states, more specifically Athens, with their one man, one vote. Of course they really meant one male citizen, one vote as slaves and women weren't allowed to express their opinion. -
Oh, apart from the Lag from Heck, I liked it War Witch. It's a pity the mobs used to defend the banners are rehashed though. And that the Mystic Aspect is a rehashed GM. The banners are very nicely executed and an interesting mechanic which is only hampered by the fact you guys decided to add in a damage threshold. And then did it again for the GM. Still, I suppose it adds some longevity for the event as people won't likely get all the badges in one sitting.
Overall, good work and something somewhat new added. Kudos for that. -
I am a bit confused as to why this was posted on the European lounge?
Shouldn't it have gone to City Life, or, better yet, Comic and Hero/Villain Culture? -
Six new badges: one for each banner taken down, one for the GM and the accolade for collecting the other 5.

Quote:...MISIONING IN UR ARCZ!
LOLBAT is a fictional superhero, a creation of PvP Online creator Scott Kurtz. Funniest thing next to The Tick when I first saw him a year ago or so. And now apparently he's got a guest arc. I just found out about this, sorry if it's old news, but I just can't wait to get back from work and try it. Below is the notice from the PvP Online website, and then below that LOLBAT's "greatest hits". Enjoy!
And now, just for the LOLz, Kurtz has decided to give us another look into the world of LOLBAT, paroding Superman. He's doing a full week of LOLBAT comics, starting yesterday. Here's the first and you can go from there.
P.S. I didn't mis-post this time I swear, this is directly related to CoH!
Alas, the last mission (I presume it's the last mission) is broke. Clicked all the glowies there were to be clicked and no final boss spawn. Which wasn't nice. -

Lag, the Deadly Assassin...
The infrastructure near the server farm in Germany must be made of wet paper tissues and glued with spit. At times like these I give thanks I have no toons on Union... at least Defiant stands laggy but proud. -
Oh, it's Deadly alright... lag. Oodles, and oodles of lag. That is all.

Set your search parameters for Hall of Fame. That will exclude all the other Arcs.
And this is why I think the arcs shown on the first page of the Architect Arcs listing should be randomized... so people don't think that Dev Choice is all there is in there. -

...time to brush up on my Portugese and Spanish I guess...
- We also make Sangria and if you ask me, we do it better than the Spanish.
- I can teach you Portuguese AND I'll work for carrots. Win-win situation here: you learn a foreign language, I get my paws on some grub.
